    Tonkotsu ramen with pork

A hole in the wall, but without the broth to back it up. Every good ramen place is graded by the strength of their broth, and not necessarily the decor or atmosphere. All you care about are intense, rich flavors drawn out of the pork bones with a jab of salty/umami greatness right in the jaw. This place didn't make the cut. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with pork. The noodles were good and the slice of pork was tasty, albeit briefly (small portion). The broth unfortunately was watery, bland, generically creamy, and not well-seasoned. The menu had plenty of Korean options. The galbi appetizer was the highlight of the meal. The seared rib meat was deliciously caramelized, gingery, and hot, right off the grill. Overall I am not excited to go back because, like I said, if you want to be a hole in the wall, the food needs to be a slam dunk. I'm appreciative to have this option locally, but it didn't knock my socks off.

Ramen seemed like just the thing on chilly afternoon. But this ramen just didn't hit the spot. The space is cute and intimate, and the service was attentive; however, the food left us looking at each other confusedly. The reviews on this place are solid, so it's possible we hit it on an off day. But the broth lacked richness or umami, the tofu was cold in the middle, and while steaming hot, both the noodles and vegetables were underdone.

Do NOT miss this spot!! Cute vibe with great decor and music, the food is moderately priced and unbelievably good. The pork ramen could've had a few more pieces of pork in there (there was only two pieces), but the broth was amazing. The Spicy Pork Rice Bowl was BIG, great serving size and flavor! The gyoza were very good, and the korean style chicken was amazing as well! Great, quick service and friendly.

The atmosphere was cozy and warm, our server was kind and prompt with our orders. The food was delicious and quick

Quirky and calming lunch spot. Always love coming here to share a meal with a friend. Servers are friendly and kind. Food is authentic and portions are generous.

Such a wonderful spot for a good meal. The service was fantastic. Only 1 employee who was doing it all and never missed a beat. Super clean and well decorated.

Quality/Quantity - We had the following: 2 Tonkotsu Ramen - Both wanted to try their signature dish. The broth was really good. Good quantity. TakoYaki Appetizer - This was a hit. We just had this from a previous restaurant and they make it so much better here! Atmosphere - Very small local restaurant with only indoor seating. Cool tea mugs, see picture. Bathrooms outside, shared with other tenants which makes it hard to maintain. They both ran out of paper towels when we were there. Street parking, but we found a free parking lot nearby, see picture. Closed Sunday and Monday, see Yelp for hours for the other 5 days. Service - Excellent, I did not get the person's name, but he was the only front of house employee. Did a GREAT job managing ALL the tables by himself. If you are not the owner, the owner really needs to take care of you. Price - $35.70 + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success.

Came here with my son after soccer practice and he talked about it for days. Their kids ramen comes with just noodles and broth and it was so delicious- he had the shoyu ramen. We also got edamame and calamari. The edamame was good and salty, just the way my little guy likes it, and the calamari was crunchy and tender. Our ramen was delicious as well. The only reason I give 4 stars is because the two times we went (within 4 days of each other) they only had one server and it seems to get a bit chaotic when it's a full restaurant. The second time the service was a bit slower.

    Agedashi tofu

The service was good, but the food lacked flavor. If the chef wants to know how to make a proper agedashi tofu, fly to Los Angeles and visit Foraibo in Gardena. It's the best, so hard to compete with.

Yeah, not my favorite! Very little flavor and the menu is so sparse to choose from. I will save for better restaurants in Ashland.

The firecrackers (fried stuffed jalapeños) were flavorful, well cooked, and lightly crisp. The crispy jalapeño roll was delicious and even my husband who doesn't do raw fish ate it up. The ceviche roll was a creative fusion surprise, it was very fresh and flavorful. We also had their fusion fish taco, which was a flat panko breaded fish tender that was served on a fresh corn tortilla with guac and a surprisingly delicious chipotle sauce. We also enjoyed the drinks, a refreshing sprite/tequila/lime juice combo served in an olla, a touch we really enjoyed. This Mexican/japanese fusion place came highly recommended by many people and I can see why! The service was absolutely impeccable despite the place being packed. The whole crew was friendly and efficient. We'll be back!

It's like having the Korean Chirashi "protein style". It's absolutely fresh, flavorful, well balance with pickled veggies and raw spiraled diakon and beet. They make their own spicy house sauce that would be good on everything. It has a tang, but I wouldn't call it "spicy". If you want a big, fresh, sashimi mixed salad with steamed rice and a bowl of miso soup... order the Korean Chirashi for $25. It hits all the taste buds. I always have leftovers, it's very filling but does not feel at all heavy :D NOTE: This is one place that takes the same level of care with TO GO Orders as they do for sit-down. That is a rarity nowadays. 5-stars!
