Everything was done promptly, and the team made sure I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. A special thank you to Ben Girmay, who truly made this experience outstanding. He was knowledgeable, reliable, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. His professionalism and dedication really stood out. My family and I are very grateful for the support and top-quality service we received. I highly recommend Toyota of Downtown LA to anyone looking for a seamless and trustworthy car-buying experience!

My first experience was average overall nothing particularly stood out, but there were no major issues either. My second purchase is where I ran into significant problems. My salesperson, David, was great and I highly recommend him. He assisted me with both vehicles and provided solid service throughout the sales process. However, my experience with financing was very disappointing. The finance representative I worked with the second time, Oscar Ovega, did not provide clear communication or proper follow-up. After my vehicle was involved in an accident and declared a total loss, I went back to cancel my warranty. I was told the process could take up to a month and that I would be kept updated, but I never received any follow-up despite reaching out via email. When I returned to the dealership, another employee informed me that the cancellation had not been handled and assisted me with submitting it. Unfortunately, this led to further issues. My GAP insurance was canceled without my request, first of ALLL who thinks of yeah ima cancel my GAP after being in a total loss NO ONE CORRECT. ( I couldn't get my gap back after telling me they will ) while my warranty remained active, which caused additional delays and confusion. I later worked with Arturo, who initially seemed eager to help and assured me he would keep me updated. He provided his phone number and email, which I appreciated. However, despite me reaching out multiple times through both text and email, I did not receive any responses. My messages showed as read, but there was no follow-up, and my calls were consistently declined or unanswered. This added to the frustration and lack of communication throughout the process. The only positive experience during this situation was working with Denyss, who was extremely helpful despite not being my assigned finance representative. She took the time to properly review my case, confirmed that my warranty had in fact been submitted earlier without my knowledge, and followed through to ensure it was finally processed correctly. I truly appreciate her professionalism and willingness to step in. At this point, the warranty funds have been sent to Toyota, but I am still waiting for final resolution. I have attempted to follow up multiple times with Oscar and the manager, Kendra, but communication has continued to be lacking and timelines have not been met. Overall, I cannot recommend this dealership based on my experience with their finance department. If you do choose to come here, I strongly recommend working with David for sales and Denyss for financing. It is unfortunate, as I had previously recommended this dealership to several people who went on to purchase vehicles here. Based on my recent experience, I will no longer be recommending them.

I've been coming to Mercedes DTLA for about 10yrs now for services even though I've purchased all of my cars from Mercedes Laguna Niguel. DTLA is a bit closer to home for me and it felt more welcoming for me to have my car serviced with them. I'm not sure what's happened to the service department but it's definitely not how it used and they no longer seem customer oriented. I booked an appointment for Service B on my AMG GT 43 4 dr coupe, and I also had a flat tire so I needed to get a tire thru my wheel and tire pkg. After driving on the streets of LA this wasn't my first flat so I know the process and knew that I wouldn't get my car back the same day. So during the time of my online booking I requested a loaner. The day before my appointment I received this odd text that I've never received before telling me that due to the nature of my service I would not be provided a loaner. So I replied! (Pics attached of the correspondence). After the weird text, of course I didn't receive my vehicle the same day with the services completed, as I already knew that I would not, when my car was completed the first payment link I received was not accurate and I was charged for the tire that was supposed to be covered by my wheel and tire package, I replied via text questioning the charge and received no apology response just another link with the $1k+ amount removed, and I got my car back with not 1 but 2 missing tire valve caps lol. So yeah that's my experience and I can't go back after this because I've NEVER had this type of experience before and it's mixed feelings of sadness and ICK as a previous happy customer.

However, as I researched the car before visiting, I noticed conflicting information. While the Carfax report showed no accidents, their website linked to CarGurus, which stated the car had been in an accident. CarGurus noted that AutoCheck found no damage, but I would have had to pay for the full report to see the details. I reached out to the dealership, specifically asking for the AutoCheck report before making a decision. Multiple sales advisors ignored my request and simply sent me the Carfax again, insisting there were no accidents. It took three emails and a screenshot of the CarGurus link from their own site before an associate finally sent the AutoCheck report. It clearly showed a police report had been filed for an accident, though she still claimed there was no damage. Because it seemed like a good deal with many features, I decided to see it in person. Upon arrival, the damage was immediately noticeable. When I asked a different salesperson about the accident history, they also pointed to the clean Carfax. Once I caught them in the lie, their response was simply, 'It's a used car; it's going to have imperfections.' I understand that, but failing to be upfront about an accident history is unacceptable. Moral of the story: Buyer beware. If a deal looks too good to be true, do your own research and inspect the car thoroughly yourself. I will not be purchasing this vehicle or any other car from Nissan of DTLA."

We were first quoted $2,991.85, which we paid, only to later be told there was a "mistake" and they refused to release our car unless we paid an additional balance. After speaking with the actual manager, Danny Chavarria, the amount was suddenly negotiated down, which made the entire situation even more frustrating and questionable. They also claim every vehicle receives a courtesy multipoint inspection, yet our rear brakes were never properly documented even though they were dangerously low. We had to take the car elsewhere for repairs. To make matters worse, our Disneyland annual pass magnets went missing while the car was in their care, and despite multiple calls, emails, and texts, nobody has responded. We also discovered a large bolt stuck in the front passenger tire immediately after getting the car back. The lack of honesty, accountability, and communication is unacceptable. I would strongly recommend others avoid this service department.

This past Friday night, I was browsing online and must have clicked on a vehicle because around 7 p.m. I received a call from John Morovitz at LACDJR regarding a car I had inquired about. Since they're located in Los Angeles and we're in Bakersfield, I was hesitant to make the drive without knowing a deal was solid. John and the team went above and beyond, working overtime that Friday night. By Saturday afternoon, we were there picking up my new car! We definitely recommend this dealership, they will make it happen. One very satisfied customer!!!!!!!!!!!

Feels like the mob…read more Lets start with the pros: 1- legitimized business. Like it or not, it has to be by the books. 2- I purchased originally a $4000 warranty I am grandfathered in for life, which covered the problem (minus a $100 deductible). Lets continue with the cons: 1- On the first call, I was threatened by the customer service w/a "let me be very honest with you" opening line (and sharp attitude), that if seek the advice (not the work) of a different shop to look into my problem before coming to them, they would immediately void my warranty, and that their techs have ways to know it. So, having an engine clicking problem, bringing it to the dealership was the ONLY option, regardless of the fact it's located an hour and 1/2 away from me and my lack of interest in their business. No choice, all threat. 2- I did bring it inevitably, and they said it'd probably be 3-4 days. I called for updates but my agent (David) was not in one day and the other person (George?) said the car had been sitting in the parking lot unattended yet -- this has now been 5 days. By the time David came back and I called back, he said the car was scheduled to be seen in the following days, but no ETA. The job took 2 weeks total but the actual labor took 2-3 days once they actually worked on it (plus one day to wait for the warranty to clear budget). So, mostly parking lot time. 3- I had to call 6 or so times to check on status cause I never got a call initiated by them, to tell me what was what --until the last day when it was ready for pick it up (after I called 2 days prior to ask if it would be ready). So there was unreliable communication unless lead by me. 4- David was nice. When we talked he was informative and gave advice too. Most likely it's not his fault how the system works or how busy each agent is. But I had to call each and every single time for updates. Customer service lady was only "nice" when requesting a Lyft for me to leave the premise. Otherwise the tone was very mob-like mentality, unsympathetic and looms of someone who thrives on the little sense of power the phone line gives them. 5- Eventually I had to rent a car for a full week cause the inconsistency was unmanageable and uber cost too much. If I could avoid never going back to this dealership, I would. I mind you: I bought the jeep from them (and boy, where they nice then). Only warranty-related problems are the sole reason I'd ever go back -and not by choice. It's, without a doubt, "you need us more than we need you, and we got you by the balls" attitude. Unless you want to buy a car. Then, you are God there. Not a good business if you can avoid THIS location. Maybe try Glendale?
