no stars for this little hollywood used car dealer.. every car they sell comes with a warranty of 6 months on the motor and drivetrain. their own star employee that works there every single day, just bought a 13 rav4, and the axles are bad and need replacement. they won't honor this warranty for their own employee. it's not safe to drive on the freeway and they knowingly sold it to him like this... discovered the axles were bad on my way to neck surgery in this car. clunking all the way up and down the freeway 405 from la to sherman oaks and back.. not safe... it's all about the dollar for these guys. the service leaves much to be desired when buying a safe car to drive to work in. especially at such an exorbitant price mark up.. their own employee. no guilty conscience in the least.. read more

I found the exact vehicle I wanted listed at this "dealer" on Cargurus. I called ready to purchase it without even test driving because of the distance. Explained I would wire payment and pay for delivery. Was told the owner would call me the next day (already a red flag). Next day came, I even followed up. Again was assured the owner would call to make arrangements. NEVER HEARD BACK!!! If someone calls MY BUSINESS willing to pay my asking price and EXTRA for shipping and handling, I would have closed the deal on the spot. I would have at least taken a deposit or something if I personally could not complete the transaction. Not this place. I found pretty much the same vehicle (actually a little better) in SF, 500 miles away. I called them with the same request. Papers were overnighted to me within the hour, (including shipping arrangements). DONE DEAL! I don't know what this business REALLY is, but it's not a car dealership. read more

I'm with Adam (below) on this one. I like the guys, I really do. They have a nice looking inventory, but the car was a total lemon. I have to think they did some things to make sure it looked good in the test drive, but it was completely surface level. The brakes on the thing are warped and getting replaced. The oil light has come on again, and the mechanic said it looks like it's had long-term oil leaking problems, the windows don't work in the heat (one broke entirely), the glove box stays locked shut, and the rear back up lights work about 2/5th the time. On an $11k purchase, I've dumped about $2k into the car in the first three months and still haven't taken on the oil leak situation. The guys at Raging told me they inspect the cars and only take the best. I think they meant the best deal for them to buy and flip, but certainly not the best cars. read more

I bought a car here and had started having problems with it right away. First I needed new brakes, then it was new struts. Then it was a new radiator, spark plugs, and an air filter. The warranty they provided with the purchase covered none of it. A few months after that (once this anemic warranty was expired) I had problem after problem. I had to replace the thermostat, the starter switch, and then the battery, among other things. There was a period of time where I was at the mechanic at least every other week. Thankfully this car is finally in working condition, although it still runs pretty rough. I really should have had this car inspected before buying it, however, it begs the question: should you buy a car from a dealer where you feel it's so necessary to have an inspection beforehand? Why not just buy from someone that you trust, who you know will sell you a good car without any hassle to begin with? This dealership either sold me a car that they knew was in bad shape, or they just weren't competent enough to realize that it had a lot of problems. Either way, that is not a good sign. read more

Two weeks ago I bought Toyota Yaris 2007 for my daughter at this dealership. I called few places around but no one was taking credit cards as a payment on the amount over five thousand dollars. I didn't want to pay cash but rather get frequent flyer miles by using a credit card and protect myself in case if something would go wrong with a car. This place accepts credit cards on any amount. They charge extra 3% of the total, though, if you use CC. I didn't mind. The whole process of shopping was very enjoyable. They have a great selection of vehicles for decent prices. Fabian was extremely helpful explaining about different cars and did not pressure us to buy anything. He made us feel comfortable. After the drive test and the inspection of the vehicle we found our baby. The paper work process was fast and simple. We received the registration with the new license plates within a week. My daughter absolutely loves her first car! It runs smoothly and in excellent condition according to our mechanic. I would highly recommend to anyone to car shop here at ease. I took a chance here because of the positive Yelp reviews but I have to believe that they are fake. They run a scam where they try to sell you "insurance" for $300 so you bring the car back within a few days if you don't like it. If you don't take it you get stuck with a piece of crap car, if you do take it and bring the car back they just made a quick $300 for doing nothing. Beware of this place! read more

I'd been looking for a used car for a long time, visited a lot of different dealerships, but Raging Motors is the only one I returned too on multiple occasions. They let me test drive a few cars until I found the perfect fit. These guys are great, they'll work with you until you find exactly what you want. They are also very trust worthy. I took the car that I eventually purchased to my trusted mechanic and he approved, which was not the case for a lot of cars I brought in from different dealerships. I bought a Honda Fit in April, these guys are absolutely great!! I couldn't be happier with my car , haven't had any problem with it so far. It drives impeccable just like it was advertised. They re also great with maintenance they recently changed my oil which they usually don't do cause it's such a small job but being new to LA I didn't know any mechanics so I called them and they said to just stop by. I wish others had been able to get the reality up here and save me so much money and wasted time. 1. The manager is very abrasive, overpowering, belittles his workers, even started mocking me at one part of the negotiations... I was shocked at that and pointed out he was mocking one of his potential customers and I think he may have realized for a minute he was acting like teenager. Anyway, he is not trustworthy and makes it very hard for you to disagree with any of his "promises" 2. LOTS of things where wrong with the car and not told to me. They also did not get taken care of despite the warranty. During the first few weeks there was a laundry list of problems with the car from one of the windows falling in (this was fixed) to a chip in the windshield I noticed the night I took it off the lot. My warranty with Raging Motor's "Best and cheapest" mechanics had me covered. I had even gotten a special 30 day warranty to cover essentially anything, however when I brought that up with the manager he basically laughed at my "special warranty" and implied he didn't have to do anything at all he didn't want to. I am about 6 months out now and have put HUNDREDS if not over 1K into the car to get what I thought I was originally buying (not a cheap car to start with). The crack in the windshield they said they fixed is now all the way across so more $$ is coming in repairs. I was strongly lead to believe that the car connected to my cell phone... Nope, just has a cell phone button that doesnt do anything. When I had brought up the cell phone issue before purchasing it was always, "oh i think so and so will be able to set that up for you...well check when hes back". They obviously knew it didn't have that capability. Same thing with how they told me it wasn't a smokers car. Days after buying it it couldn't have been clearer the prior owner was a heavy smoker. Finally, for their "best and cheapest mechanics". I got to witness their attempt at fixing a leak that developed in my engine my first week with the car. I don't wish to speak poorly of this "mechanic" but it was the worst most illogical thing I've ever seen. I would be blown away if that person had any mechanical certification. When I brought it to a real auto body shop afterwards the first thing the guy said was "Who the hell worked on this?" Anyway, I feel ripped off and had a very uncomfortable experience with the abrasive manager Fabian. He promised me during the negotiations that in two months I would be so happy with the car and their service I would write a 5 star review... I gave them over two months. 1 Star at best, find a car elsewhere. read more

So I got a used 2010 Toyota Corolla from here 5 days ago - my first car! Hank went on the test drive with me and was super friendly and genuine while Andre, a bit quieter but still just as down to earth, helped me with the purchasing process. I got the car that day - but I left the lights on a couple days ago and I realized last night the battery died (I hadn't tried driving it till last night). I frantically called Hank and he and Andre both personally came and helped jumpstart it and made me realize my mistake (which I didn't know I made) - and instead of being condescending or making me feel bad, they were still warm and said if any other problems occurred I could go to them. I was a new driver buying my first car in a state I'm not originally from. I came across a car online from Raging Motors by chance and I'm so happy I did. They were more than happy to speak to me as well as my father, who is across the country, with every question we had. They assisted me in every way possible, even driving me up the block to the bank because it was a hot day. They were friendly, kind, understanding and reliable. My car had no issues and they even put in a new piece that I wouldn't even know to check. A few months after buying it, someone had knocked off my side mirror. I immediately called Raging Motors and they got a new one for me and were able to help me ASAP. Stay away from this dealership!!! I'm guessing Bait & Switch...either that or extreme unprofessionalism. We called around noon Friday and made an appointment to see a specific car the next morning at 9:00am (when they opened) and we told them we were driving from Huntington Beach - so an hour drive. Saturday morning we're on Santa Monica Blvd ready to park and get a call at 5 minutes to 9 stating they sold the car the night before but that we could still come and take a look at the other cars on the lot. So if we made the effort to make an appointment to see a specific car, and you sold the car we were coming for, why not call us that same night and let us know that it's not available and cancel the appointment??? Again - either the car was never available in the first place and you were just trying to get us into your lot or you have extremely poor business practices - in any event, if you want to be treated professionally, steer clear of this dealership. read more
