As people have said, they offer a vegan bowl but I got one that had a piece of shrimp in it. Avoid if you have any kind of allergy or eating restriction. I added a star because they gave me a refund.

Beef with spicy sambal sauce and coconut curry save over leafy greens! With some peanuts and crispy garlic bits to top it off!!

Holy cow ho Lee chow is amazing! Just what I needed for my workweek lunch fix. The flavors are amazing and I love how I can structure my lunch; aka low carb days for daze! The staff is super friendly and did I mention that the food was awesome??

Rice noodles with porky belly, cauliflower, pickled daikon, and crispy garlic $10.88 amazingness!

Above and beyond exceeded my expectation for a good truck. I got the pork belly with rice noodles and coconut curry, cauliflower, and crispy garlic! The only small request I should've made was for more sauce I personally like all my food soaked but besides that it was so good. Huge portion and for only $11.38 out the door! I hope it comes to Pennsylvania street more often

Second visit today. I got the salmon and salad bowl. It was pretty good, but I think I preferred my last bowl.

Food was NOT good. Rice was very mushy. I could count the chicken on one hand that was in the bowl. Not recommended.

Every time I've seen them, they are parked in Sawtelle, on Sawtelle & Mississippi Ave right outside Daiso. The JFC Bowl. It seems this is the star and it's what I got at Gozen. JFC = Japanese Fried Chicken bowl, it is karage topped with a lot of goodness, including spicy mayo. It has a kick to it in all the right ways, full of flavor. The fluffy dog is just $5 and so original and cool. It's messy as heck, got some spicy kick to it and at least for me, totally filling. I'm going to have a hard time ever ordering anything besides my magical bowl moving forward. Legit good food and I'm wanting to eventually try their whole menu once I can move past my JFC.

The kaarage ($7) was well cooked - chicken was tender and moist with a nice crust and the spicy Mayo was the perfect complement Rice cake bonito ($2) was decent - nice to have a warm thick rice cake with just enough bonito seasoning. After you order you can spin a game to win prizes. Mostly likely you'll win some rice cracker and hi chew but you could win a fun mask or a cool Gozen tshirt!

Visiting from NYC! GREAT FOOD!…read more Food: traveled with a group of 4 and ordered. They serve an array of unique flavors and traditional ones as well. The best was definitely the crispy fish taco and also the largest serving. The slaw on top was the icing in top and the fish was not oily at all. Also appreciated the Mexican coke in glass bottles. Price: tacos are reasonable priced ranging from $3-5. Coke bottles are $3. Overall spent about $60 on the whole meal for 4 ppl. Service: the place is a tiny whole in the wall with basically two workers who are also cooking and taking orders. The service was lack luster. There are no plates or utensils which is annoying bc tacos are messy and most of ingredients fall out and you have to scrape with you hands. The tacos come out in trays so you kinda just eat the taco over the table. No napkins you get your own from the wall (we eventlly noticed). The food does not all come out together they come out as they are ready. We had to ask for our drinks after sitting for some time before food was ready. Also they mixed up out order but eventually brought out the taco instead of burrito they made and refunded the extra charge.

I will preface this review by pointing out that I have been ordering from this restaurant…read moreconsistently over the last 8 years. In fact, according to Uber Eats, I've ordered from here 231 times- And that's just my delivery orders. This spot has been on a steady decline for the last 5 years and it's finally reached a breaking point where I will no longer be ordering from here. It's a huge bummer, as this has been one of my go-to spots since moving to Los Angeles. First they removed a lot of items, such as the bacon for the breakfast burrito, then the lamb tacos, then they continued to make portions smaller and using lower quality ingredients. The thing that broke me was the recent menu "rework"- Everything is pretty bad now and severely overpriced. New recipes aren't as good, ingredients are even lower quality, and portions are so much smaller that it's pathetic- Yet prices have gone up. The worst part is they started adding black beans to all their burritos to try to make up for the fact that they are using less protein, and it DOES NOT WORK. It tastes awful and takes away from all the other ingredients. They also started using mozzarella cheese instead of jack cheese- An Italian cheese in a burrito?? It's fried and overly greasy, flavorless, and- again- just doesn't work. The breakfast burrito also used to have American cheese on it and it was AMAZING, now it's just more of the flavorless, greasy fried mozz and it's incredibly disappointing. You can also no longer add pastrami to the breakfast burrito. They've quit including green salsa with their orders which was their best, and now it's a bland red salsa that's not very good at all. There's no option in the Uber app to add green salsa and they will explicitly ignore any notes you add about it on the order. Just more cheap corner cutting. While we're at it- What happened to the avo salsa? Quality control is another issue here. Half the time my burrito will be overly greasy to the point that it's leaking, or it will be falling apart/wrapped incorrectly. Many times I've ordered the fried chicken burrito for the chicken to be overcooked. Also consistently have issues with them forgetting ingredients, like guac in the breakfast burrito (this has happened twice). And the worst thing that's happened is I've found pieces of BLUE PLASTIC in my burrito before. There no longer seems to be a way to get a hold of a real person at this site by calling. The in-person experience has also gone downhill. You can no longer sit indoors, instead you have to either sit on the noisy, cramped sidewalk and be constantly interrupted by passersby or the smelly alleyway that acts as a wind tunnel. The changes I would need to see to start coming back: 1. Revert to the original menu/ingredients 2. Include green salsa with every order 3. Go back to the original portions 4. NO MORE BEANS IN THE BURRITOS- THEY'RE GROSS 5. Quit using fried mozz and go back to Jack- And American cheese for the breakfast burrito!!! I suspect these changes will never happen and the management will continue to run this once-awesome spot into the ground with their greedy corner-cutting and price gouging, at which point they will absolutely deserve it when they are inevitably forced to shutdown.

My friends and I stopped by…read moreBrothers Cousins Tacos on a Thursday evening around 8:00 p.m. and there were only a few people in line in front of us. I ordered four tacos in total: two al pastor tacos, one lengua, and one cabeza taco. You start by ordering on the left side of the stall, pay for your food, and work your way right where all the garnishes and sauces are. Of the tacos I tried, my favorite was by far the cabeza. The meat was fatty and rich and melt-in-your-mouth tender. I would definitely recommend a squeeze of lime and raw diced onions to help cut the richness for a more balanced bite. With the al pastor, Brothers Cousins has a bunch of meat already sliced and diced up on the grill top, which unfortunately means unless you're getting the pieces of meat that are directly contacting the grill, you're not going to get the crispy bits that make al pastor so delicious. You do get a piece of pineapple with the al pastor, so that's a nice touch. Not my al pastor, but far from the worst. Overall, I cannot recommend Brothers Cousins enough if you're in this area -- the tacos here are seriously delicious and you're getting insane value. I hope they're able to maintain the $2 price point well into the future.

It's a popular spot, but the line moves fast, and the service is friendly and quick. I love that they let you self serve the grilled onions and peppers. The pastor tacos also come with pineapple on top, which I love. You can park in the CVS parking lot, so you don't have to stress about finding parking. I'll definitely be back, and I want to try their burritos next time.
