The furniture is always 30% off or on clearance! I've purchased fabric here for special homemade all occasion cards. They have a big variety of choices from the latest movie themes to Christmas fabric. Definitely a Great store for any creative school or Church activity. You can always find positive Bible verse scripture on wall placard to remind you of who you are. Love this store. It is pretty dangerous for me because I will spend more then necessary. I love pretty much 90% of the stuff in here and could stay here for hours and hours. I recently came here to shop for Christmas decor after Christmas which was marked at 50% off. The lines have been really long but it it worth the wait. I have also purchased a very unique toilet paper holder that is made out of steel metal. They have coupons on their website if you purchase something at regular price, I believe it is 40% off. read more

This place is dizzyingly massive. It's a one stop shop for all your craft, paints, model car, etc needs. This store has it all and then some. I went in looking for metallic paint that I needed to touch up a classic license plate frame. I found one that matched it to a tee along with fine paint brushes to do the job. Customer service was very helpful albeit hard to track down at first cause of how big the store is. They helped me find the things I was looking for and advised on other things I had inquired about. Line was a little long at checkout. That would be my only complaint. Prices are very good for the items I purchased. Parking is in a shared lot with O'reilly Auto Parts and Toys R Us. read more

Found this location driving by the area amazing items for home decor . Just when it was time to pay it was a bit confusing 4 registers open but guest were only allowed to make line on 3 registers and on Kellys register we weren't allowed to make line and guest would be sent to the other side of the register to make line which became a long line she would have her back to us and she would call guest over but we would have to cut across to get around to her register . Wouldn't it be easier to have all lanes shorter aligned with the proper register with the cashier facing forward at the guest? When it was my turn to pay another register opened next to Kelly which made sense staying in the same lane since both registers are facing the guest and that line would help the guest go straight to the to the left or right register to pay . read more

Haven't been to Hobby Lobby in a couple years! Came in here quickly to grab a couple items before a trip and I'm glad I stopped by. Parking is ample. Soooo many parking spaces to choose from. Social distancing is enforced and guidelines are posted at the doors before coming in. Employees are all wearing masks and well as most were wearing gloves too. The register I was waiting in line for, did sanitize the area before I walked up and placed my items on. I appreciated that extra step because not all stores do this. Hobby Lobby can be overwhelming, but I definitely want to go back and take my time shopping. So will I come back to this location? Yes! read more

It took me 35 minutes to checkout! I was waiting in 1 of the 3 lines that were open just to be told 10 mins later that the register was closed after a specific customer. When the manager or shift lead told us this she completely disregarded us asking if she was going to open another register. Everyone in that line had to go to the other 2 lines that were already long. We all lost our places in line and went behind customers that got in line well after we did. I kid you not both lines were well past the middle of the store, easily about 15-20 people in each line. Ridiculous!!! They have great deals but the time spent trying to buy them was insane! You may want to turn back when you see those lines walking in as the other 10 customers I saw walk in and right back out while I was waiting in line. read more

So disappointed, my husband loves coming to this location, but today was not fun. A couple took it upon themselves to find it fitting to call my husband an old ignorant white man. First of all, my husband is extremely smart and educated. I never find it fitting to discriminate or shame someone because of their race, nationality, age or beliefs so the behavior was inappropriate by this couple. The reason behind the name calling was because my husband asked the young man if he could get their NON SERVICE dog to stop barking. It was a small dog with a high pitch bark. In no way are we against dogs in stores, in fact our little dog usually is with my husband. The difference is that our dog is well behaved. We could even have our dog off lease and it would not leave our side or bark. This couple in my opinion are bad dog owners that don't have a trained dog. Now, this store location should be on top of behaviors like this in the store. It does not make for a pleasant shopping experience and will cause loss of business. In fact, my husband will not be returning to this location. When my husband approached the staff about the barking dog, they told him that SEVERAL other customers had also complained!!! Why does this location allow this? Please keep in mind, this was a NON SERVICE dog that was barking at everyone and everything and the staff at this location allowed this couple and their dog to be an annoyance to paying customers and disregarded practicing excellent customer service to all. This used to be my favorite Hobby Lobby. Not anymore. Today I went in and looked all over for a "love at first sight" sonogram frame, which I have purchased there before. I couldn't find it, so I went to the frame counter and asked the lady if she knew if there were any in the store. "No, I don't think so. [pause] Actually, I don't know what you're talking about." "Ok, that's a real answer," I said. I was about to pull up an example on my phone, but right then a bunch of the frame samples hanging on the wall behind her fell to the floor. So, since her area was literally falling apart, I said I'd just go so she could deal with that, and as my back is too her, she says to her coworker loud enough for me to hear, "well, she was angry." I just kept walking...right out the door to give my business to another store. No, lady, I wasn't "angry," I just don't appreciate people lying to me and talking about me behind my back. read more

On one of missions and needed more of a New Years item for my upcoming event. This was my 5th Hobby Lobby this week and the furthest. Arrived when the doors opened and surprisingly they still had some NYE items boxed up. Thank you Yesenia (who I wanted to hug) for going out of your way and helping me find what I needed and to the Manager whose name I didn't get for helping me as well with a Christmas item. What a cool, fun place to shop for household items and decorations and things. You can spend so much time going through all the items they have, wall mount, painting, mirror, barstools, tables, unique and clever furniture accents! Batman posters? Gun signs, bullet pen, fake flowers, need a yard of cloth or a shaggy rug? Arts and Crafts? They got it! It's huge here, the Walmart of household and unique pieces. Come in with an open mind and time to walk around. I really like this place for gift giving, makes for a more personal gift that is clever or creative. Ample parking so no need to worry about parking. And it's in a non busy plaza in Burbank so traffic isn't an issue either. If you're in the area, it's a cool place to check out. While I hate and or loathe entering their doors as there's such a line of shoppers there to get their prefab holiday decorations I have made their frame shop a GO TO! The crew there at the frame shop are friendly, actually helpful and terribly attentive. Their above and beyond service mantra makes it worth the trip and frustrations of wading through the sea of holiday decoration shoppers:) Each of the crew there at the frame shop are gracious and take their time to ensure I am happy and that my various projects (and there have been many over the last few years) are what I want if not better and exceed my expectations. Cannot say enough good about them and especially Jose; Justin and George. They welcome you with a smile, remember your name (kinda like the 80s series Cheers lol) and jump right into whatever project you bring them. Lastly most if not all of my projects are vintage and antique posters which require care taken while handling them, the crew here are so good about being carful and respecting my old posters and lobby cards. Went into this store out of curiosity, since I have never seen a Hobby Lobby before. It is kinda like a Michaels, except they have much more stuff in the home decor department (they even sell mirrors and every imaginable type of candle) and their party supplies area is bigger. There is also a lot of arts and crafts things, and I'm confident you will find everything you need if you are the artsy type. I would die without Hobby Lobby. My small business relies on them and their prices. I am always coupon ready! The store is always clean, and the floor folk are always so helpful, and im grateful they opened during this pandemic. The long lines and the time at the register is kind of a turn-off, but every item has to be manually entered because nothing has bar-codes, and there are so many alternating sales, so that's fair. The only comment that I feel necessary to write is the two older ladies that, without fail, remain stagnate at the front of the store. I am assuming they're management as they're always on the phone or bossing everyone around and are not in uniform. The speak poorly to their employees and seem a bit unorganized ie; paging for a cashier to ring when the other cashiers are informing her that person isn't scheduled for the day. IDUNNO, but besides that I never leave without spending at least a hundred dollars. read more

I awakened early and unable to go back to sleep, I called Hobby Lobby at 6:50 am on Labor Day to find out if they were open as it was a major holiday. The nicest woman answered the phone. Probably readying the store for opening, she answered my question pleasantly and said their doors would open at 9am. I couldn't believe I didn't get a recording, nor could I believe a human vs a a machine answered the phone. She could have ignored the ring but didn't. Refreshing. read more

Because they are always making the customers wait in long queues and you have to wait several minutes, staring at all the staff walking around doing nothing until someone decides to open a 3rd till. Love the selection as this was my first time shopping here. But the terrible customer service ruined the experience. A long line formed at 9:15 am but the only desk open was for refunds & exchanges. When I suggested that another register be opened the answer was, "This is what they gave me. Everyone is working on projects." When I asked, "Shouldn't the most important project be your customers?" "Well we would not have anything to sell the customers without the projects," was the reply. Excuse me, you can't do both at the same time especially when there is a line of customers? Idiocy. Love Hobby Lobby. Came in for some frames for artwork and was overwhelmed with the plethora of choices. The artwork i was framing was an odd size, and they had nothing at Michaels or Aaron Brothers. I pieced together frames using Hobby Lobbys open frames and simple frames. While i was working on this their framing department was AMAZINGLY HELPFUL. 1 of the frames didnt fit the proper sized glass, so they cut the glass down for me. Right there!!! Props to their framing department. I wasnt even getting it framed by them and they still went above n beyond to help me out. The checkout lines, however, need some help. The cashier argued with me about the sale price on the items i was purchasing until the Manager came over and confirmed the sale price for the cashier. The manager was super sweet n complimented the frame n artwork going in it. This particular Hobby Lobby closes at 8pm, but with the selection and Customer Service (for the most part) it is well worth getting in there early or waiting til the wknd ;) Happy Shopping! read more

December 21, 2016 3:39pm I am absolutely appalled by my experience today at Hobby Lobby! I came in to return a string of lights we bought that didn't work. I originally bought two strands...one at regular price and one with a 40% off coupon. I waited in a rather long and slow return line, but I get it..it's just days away from Christmas.. So I was patient. When they noticed the line was getting exceptionally long they opened another register. I was greeted by a friendly face and I explained we bought these lights and they didn't work, handed the cashier my receipt and she processed the return, charging back the amount on my debit card. When I reviewed the receipt I noticed she took off the amount for the one with the coupon, not the full priced item, so I went back and asked why she didn't refund the full price item. She looked at the receipt and apologized that she didn't realize there were two of the same items. She said she had to call a supervisor over, so even though I was in a hurry to pick my sick granddaughter up from school, i waited. The manager, Corinne came over and the cashier explained her MISTAKE and asked how to fix it. Corinne looked at the receipt and me and said, there's nothing she can do. It's done. And refused to make the situation right! There is ALWAYS SOMETHING management can do. Especially when their employee admits to their fault! Corinne should have corrected the mistake instead she was rude and unapologetic. I will be contacting her supervisor because I feel I should have received my full refund! My item was defective and I paid full price and returned it in a timely manner with a receipt! I'm very disappointed in this store and its management team!!! Shame on you HOBBY LOBBY!! read more

Hobby Lobby has terrible customer service. My wife bought a few on-sale items and the cashier didn't put one $1.25 item in the bag. My wife returned with the receipt. The cashier treated my wife like a criminal questioning whether she lost the item or if she dropped it outside, or other. After refusing to replace the item, an assistant manage had to review a security camera footage to prove my wife was lying. The footage proved my wife correct as the cashier neglected to put the item in the bag. No apology, nothing, except credit for $1.25. REALLY? Whatever happened to trusting a middle-aged good customer? Hobby Lobby should go see how Trader Joe's conducts business, because to TJ's, the customer is ALWAYS right, and they never treat customers like criminals. read more

Ok. I have been here 100's of times and It finally happened. I threw a fit in public at HL. No, I'm not proud of this. But After waiting in a HORRENDOUS line for over 20 minutes, yep guess what? they opened up a new register and took the person who had only been waiting about 20 seconds for about the hundredth time!! I walked over and dropped my purchase on the counter and said, "I'm next"! She said "mam you can not do this"! I said, "I'm doing it"! I had about a dozen people looking at me like I was a crazy nut. At this point I think I am crazy for shopping here. I KNOW full well this is how they handle their lines and I can only blame myself for coming back. She did ring me up and then said again "you can't do this"! I said, "I just did"! If I had a business where there were literally dozens of people standing there with their wallets open, I'd sure find a way to help them faster. My friend is a nurse and she bought surgical caps to protect our heads for everyone in our department. She even had them personalized with our names embroidered on them . She went to Hobby lobby in Burbank to buy an embroidery machine and someone substituted it with a different brand quilting machine. She has contacted Hobby lobby corporate and they refuse to refund or give her the machine she paid for. I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else ? read more

If you are a frequent crafter or home decor junkie, this is your jam. I overheard someone in the store say it's like Michael's and Home Goods combined, which is pretty accurate. This is a massive, grocery store-sized Hobby Lobby full of Pinterest-style decorations, DIY inspiration, and frequent sales promotions. While many of the items are not quite my style, you can hunt and peck for items and be guaranteed to find a few gems. They definitely cater to the "basic" style- "She Believed She Could So She Did"-type quotes framed, Shabby Chic-esque tables, adult coloring books, Christian-themed items, and mainstream art supply brands. If this isn't quite your aesthetic, you can still find a few items worth your while if you look closely- their shadow memory boxes in vibrant turquoise frames and a few of the jewelry display organizers caught my eye. I picked up an inexpensive loom set and looms for under $6 total (thanks for the Yelp tip to download the app- they have a 40% off coupon for regularly priced items!). The majority of the items in the store were discounted 30-50%, which made up for the somewhat inflated sticker prices- most of the items I would only buy with the discount. You could easily spend a couple hours in here, so give yourself adequate time to peruse! read more

I dabble in practically all aspects of arts and crafts: you mention it and I probably do it. From sewing to wreathe-making, painting to jewelry, and everything in between. Until this point, Michael's was my go-to arts and crafts supply store. Well, there is a new sheriff in town and my loyal Michael's heart may be moving on. Who is this new stud? Hobby Lobby. Hobby Lobby is a recently-opened arts and crafts retail environment which replaced the Burbank Osh Hardware staple. Good riddance Osh because Hobby Lobby is heaven! Park your car in the spacious lot and enter to what feels like a warehouse-sized art store. High ceilings, spacious aisles, and organization which will satisfy any OCD-suffering soul welcomes patron to a gold mine. You hardly know where to begin your shopping as you will squeal with joy and want to traverse down each aisle! Now, it should be stressed that Hobby Lobby is like Michael's on steroids. Yes, it has all the staples like sketch books, paint brushes, canvases, spray paint, jewelry-making components, etc; but it has so much more! Hobby Lobby also has small furnishings/decorations (think: Pier One), a fabric and sewing department (move over JoAnne Fabric with your dinky, barely there selection!), and all the plastic tubs for organization you can imagine (a la The Container Store or Ikea). Basically, you will find EVERYTHING you need here for ANY art- related project. The selection is up-to-date with the newest and best brands; all the while in an easy-to-find layout. How are the prices? I honestly expected prices to be high based on the selection and high-end appearance of the store. Well I was happy to be proven wrong! Prices are reasonable and in-line with Michael's. Some prices are slightly higher but barely. Plus, download their App (which I did while in the store) and you can get 40% off coupons to use on your phone at the register. As for customer service, one can't really expect much for a big-box store. Wrong again, my dear friends! I had three encounters on my first visit which were on the positive end of things. An employee randomly complimented me on how beautiful I was (a female so not a male hitting on me and being creepy), another girl was super kind after I asked for the price of something even though I was an idiot because the item was marked, and the cashier was friendly (although chewing gum annoying with her mouth open-- RUDE!). Not bad! My only qualms? Two things: first the store doesn't have any price scanners and the associate said the registers aren't equipped to price check either. WHAT?!!!! Second: store hours. Hobby Lobby closes quite early. 8pm on a week day? Who does that?! Is this the 1800s?! Not cool. Despite some of my complaints, Hobby Lobby is paradise.
