Customer service is at a all time low and this place explain it. First off I would like to thank Cassandra in the Notions Department for her excellent customer service. I had a question about another item while assisting me in her dept, she "walked" me over to the dept!/!item. Very profession, polite, willing to assist!!! I had a good feeling until time for checkout. I walked to a register and inquired if open. She (Margi Customer service manager) abruptly pointed her finger and said "I'm taking from the other register"! So, I proceeded to the other I was gestured to a register. I inquired about an item that was on sale. CSR inq with Msrgi she called advised not on sale. I just said I thought it was on sale. She abruptly stated I asked the manager in the dept!!! The worse experience I have ever had at a hobby lobby!!! I asked 3 workers for help and they all sent me to three different sections of the store. Non of which had the items I was looking for. Then I finally asked another worker who was talking to her coworker and she said "we don't sell cello bags" that's funny because I only buy it at hobby lobby and it's shown that it's in stock at this location. Whoever is in charge needs to refresh their workers memory on how customer service works. Good variety of everything crafty but the customer service here sucks. I spent a good 15 minutes in one line where the cashier didn't know how to give the discounts for the customer so she kept calling down a manager, so no big deal i switched to a different line where there was only one person in front of me. I sat there for another 20 minutes next in line the whole time watching the cashier take her sweet time while she checked her binder for each and every single item to see if there was a sale for it & the customer in front of me had about 100 different little items. I saw a few managers and employees just pass me by or other employees chit chat with each other around us as the lines grew larger and i could hear other customers getting annoyed. Instead of somebody opening up a new lane nobody did anything at all to fix this long wait time when there were a few other lanes that could have opened up. When it was my turn i mentioned that they should open up more lanes because its really busy and all she said was "we should huh" and didn't do or tell anyone to help their customer service and kept it going at the same speed, completely oblivious that she was the one taking a lifetime. I was the next one in line for a total of 30 minutes at this point, the cashiers need to speed up the process or a new system needs to get put in place for sure because i left that story super irritated never wanting to come back again. read more

They have things to decorate your daughters room, sons room, grandkids rooms, and even your own. From wall decor to things to set on top of a shelf or table. We went in and got some decor for our daughters room and our restroom. Believe me we aren't done yet, got a whole house to make more home like and welcoming and this place is the best to do so. Christmas time they have tons of Christmas decorations to choose from. For you artsy people they got a bunch for crafting or DIY projects. Called and had something placed on hold went it around 745pm and the cashier has no idea where it was turned out they put it back . Spoke to the manager standing at the door he said they put back at 7 well the person on the phone never said that! Manager didn't seem to care had to wait 15 minutes for someone to go find the item then to find out the coupon didn't work on it which I bought one a week ago and it did. I am so happy to say that I am a regular here!! My first visit was the 2nd day it opened. I was SOO excited for this Hobby Lobby to open walking distance to my house! At first, I thought this was going to be very dangerous to have this kind of store so close to my house so I decided to start a new hobby that could potentially bring me and my little family some income. I started sewing and when I first went to the sewing section, it was pretty bare because they hadn't loaded everything in and they did tell me that it wasn't everything and to come back in another week to see a little bit more. So I did. I was coming in almost every day to find new fabric and new notions on the walls. It was amazing! Now that it's been quite a few months, they are totally killing it around this holiday craziness! Always restocked with what I need. Granted, I have not really ventured out many areas other than the sewing section, but I can let you know that the small few women who take care of the sewing section, really know what hey are talking about and have been able to give me knowledge on sewing questions. All in all, I'm very happy with this location. Lastly, I would like to thank the managers as they have helped me a few times with no fuss and even decided to follow my new sewing Etsy page It's Sew Tammy. I understand we are dealing with COVID, but I shouldn't have to stand in a 12 person deep line to purchase my items, tell them to go get my rain check items, and then be told I have to stand in line again because it took them 15 minutes and three walks to the back to check to find my stuff (all the while being told that it's not back there even though the person had just called two days prior) Now standing in a 14 person deep line. Hobby Lobby, I expected better! Don't go on a Saturday or when people are off of work because you will guaranteed stand in a minimum of a 30 minute line because they can't figure out how to have more than three cash lanes open. read more

Okay so let's get this straight--there are no certified framers except for Mike and Melody. They will mess up your framing work, beginning with the cheaply made frames. Some employees will leave your art or photographs in lights that bleaches them. They say they have everyone certified but that is NOT true and it's a shame. One can go and do it yourself and do a better job. I have many complaints with employees passing the buck, and even worse are the managers who place blame on their employees. One would expect the managers to take responsibility and train the employees correctly in the first place. Sorry, not worth the time. Michael's will treat me better. read more

I just don't understand why this business doesn't require all employees and consumers to wear covid masks? I get freedom and our rights to chose; it's what we're used to and fought for in our country, it's what so many died for and still will continue to do so, protecting us against foreign AND domestic enemies, whoever and wherever they are. But when science and our loved ones and friends have lost their lives, hasn't that deterred, stopped and proven that vaccines and mask do help? If some people don't believe the science, forget the politics, and just save lives, given the opportunities other countries would value for themselves. We'll still be free, but lives will be saved, and many will stop losing loved ones. Also, many who care about others can continue to shop in a safe environment. Nothing in Holly Lobby is worth a life. I don't believe I could return to a place that didn't value lives when they had the opportunity and choice to save lives. Holly Lobby, it's not enough to claim you close on Sundays because of your Catholic beliefs. Especially if you are pro-lifers. Now is the time to step up and walk the talk. I love Hobby Lobby, BUT am very disappointed. First I waited to get Fabric, then she was sooooooooooo slow and particular; frustrating. Waited in line along long time and then was charged for something I did not want and had to go to another register to get it refunded. If it was not for the kind ladies who let me in front of them to get the refund, I may have never gone back to this store. So instead of a 20 to 30 minute trip, it was an hour and a half. I've always loved shopping at my local Hobby Lobby. However, my experience with their photo framing was quite disappointing. I took a very old sentimental family picture to have it matted & framed. I ordered a natural cherry wood frame and two weeks later, when I picked up the picture, it was framed on all sides with different colors of wood. I gave them a 2nd chance, they offered a 10% discount for my trouble, and another 2 weeks later the frame was in. Again, it was NOT natural cherry. No apologies were given. Manager offered 50% off but I just wanted what I had ordered. I had to wait while they unframed and unmatted this most fragile picture, and another 15-20 minutes for a refund, which I'm appreciative of. I immediately went across the street to Michaels and received excellent service, AND it cost less than what Hobby Lobby charged. I would NOT recommend custom framing at Hobby Lobby. read more

Team members let customers with thin scarves enter the store, no proper mask underneath! I went a week after that incident and was being racially profiled and the manager, plus two associates were following me and my sisters around like we were thieves. We all made purchases but the manager was acting big and bad at the store exit. So rude. I was wearing very basic clothes and a pink cardigan, honestly I looked like a very basic girl but the employees didn't leave me out of their sight when they're were customers who were clearly not respecting the State Mask Mandate. But of course being the Hispanic customers in the store we were followed but not given proper customer service either. Cashiers did the best they could with the long line that was caused by being followed around for 45 minutes . Didn't even bother calling corporate because they're just as racist. I am completely disappointed with our new Hobby Lobby in La Habra. Knowing this is a Christian organization. We were so excited when we heard a hobby Lobby would be coming to La Habra! We want to financially support this organization yet I have major complaints about one of the managers. I have repeatedly seen & heard this manager speak to his employees VERY RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL! His name is Mike I understand he is the manager of this store. He has to be the most unprofessional manager.I would Never expect this, knowing he should display fruit of the spirit. "This is a Christian company am I correct?" I've seen his attitude toward his employees & his costumers. He's unfriendly & you NEVER see him smile. Why would anyone feel a need to speak so ugly to his employees? I have always had a positive interaction with the employees. They've always been friendly & so helpful! All I've ever seen when visiting Hobby Lobby are hard working employees! Mike must be very unhappy with himself & his personal life that he speaks with such cruel ness. I over heard him speaking very rude recently to one of his employees and decided I would no longer stay quiet any longer! I made sure to stay within ear distance when I heard the tone he was speaking in . I was saddened with his attitude toward this employee. This isn't my first time noticing his behavior. Our family are frequent shoppers at Hobby Lobby and we're very excited that they were opening one in La Habra. If we do not see changes from this man we will not support this store! We are very involved in our community, church and in our school district & have heard many negative reports on this specific individual. Why would he be able to get away with his unprofessional behavior and lack of kindness. Does this man even share in the same faith? I believe it should show in his demeanor and words that comes out of his mouth! We are VERY Disappointed that this manager continues to get away with this behavior! If this is a new standard for Hobby Lobby it might as well be any other department store. And let's turn off the Christian music if your not going to reflect Christ. read more

I took an old family frame in to have a new backing made, and the clips to hold the backing in place, and hardware to hang it. The young man that helped me was pretty lost as to what to do. I wrote directly on the top of the oval frame which end was to be the top. There was damage to one side, so I planned to hang it so the damaged side would be in a corner. He could give me no price estimate, and no receipt or claim check for the frame. He told me it would be done by the next day. I told him I needed to know the price first! He told me I would be contacted by the framer with an estimate. 2 days later, I had not heard from anyone. I called the store 3 times. The first time I was on hold for 15 minutes and no one picked up in that department. Called back, waited 13 minutes, again, no one picked up. Called a third time, asked for a manager. No apology from him that I had so much trouble. At least this time someone answered the phone. Got an estimate, and approved the work to be done. Went in a couple of days later to pick it up. What a fiasco! I could have done a better and neater job cutting a piece of foam board for the back! They attached the hardware at the wrong end, so it has the damaged area showing, and the clips used to hold the foam backing...as soon as I bent them up to put something in the frame 2 of the 4 fell out! This really should have been a simple job for people who knew what they were doing. I'll be back at Michael's the next time I need any framing work. read more

The customer service is horrible on Oct. 18th around 4PM two employees up front a woman and young man both rude not friendly at all. We didn't get a hello, thank you or a goodbye. I love this store. I was so excited when this Hobby Lobby opened. I live right around the corner from this place. The employees here are so nice and personable. I am giving this review because of two ladies that work there. Both of them are part of the management team there. Margi and Jeanne. They were so amazing and helped my mother out with a purchase she made quite some time ago. It was a birthday gift for her best friend cuz she grew up with. My mother is 64 years old and she's been friends with this lady since their early twenties. Anyways she texted birthday gift out to wrap and noticed that there's a piece missing. She called me all upset. So I decided to stop in Hobby Lobby just to see if there was anything they could do. I figured that there wasn't much they could do but it doesn't hurt to ask. I spoke to Margi she was so nice she listen to everything that I had to say was totally understanding she went Far and Beyond out of her way to find out if there's anything they can do. She came back with Jeanne who was also very nice and wonderful. Both of them came up with a solution. Which made my mom so ecstatic and relieved. Which makes me happy.. Both of these ladies deserve a lot of recognition. Hobby Lobby is very lucky to have two great employees who are on the management team there. The customer service at this store is amazing. We needed 125 foam visors for a kindergarten class project. Normally, we have to go to several different locations to purchase such a large quantity of an item. I called Hobby Lobby and was told they had just placed an order for this item and it would be coming in within the week. I placed a rain check for the item and exactly as stated, the item came in 4 days later. I picked up in the store with ease! All items were boxed and ready to go. I was very impressed with the organization and courtesy of each person I spoke with. Great job, Hobby Lobby. read more
