Fire the illiterates!! Went there, bought a few things, rang me up. Got home and looked in the bag took everything out and they left something out of the bag that I purchased! Called them and they said, yeah it's right here on the counter. I asked if they were going to bring it to me? Of course they said no that I will have to come get it! It's bullshit! 'Tis the season. We stopped at Hobby Lobby in Rocklin for the first time, and it definitely exceeded my expectations! I was on the hunt for Christmas decorations and floral arrangements, and I was overwhelmed by their wonderful selection. The store was beautifully organized, and I found so many unique items to add to my holiday decor. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our shopping experience even better. They offered suggestions and shared information about "what was on sale", which we really appreciated. I left with more than I had planned, but I couldn't resist all the great finds! Best prices! It's always such a hassle coming in here. I will get one thing and wait in line for 10 plus minutes while the cashiers act like it's their first day on the job. Everyone moves so slow in this store and there is no sense of customer service or assistance. The company values are also disgusting and the stores reflect that. Do not recommend. read more

Still no Apple Pay in 2026, AI slop home decor, and pretty much all customer service was poor and unhelpful in terms of finding where products are. Lots of the same exact arts & crafts can be purchased at Recreate, dollar tree, or target/walmart. Lots of the tools and blanks are pretty low quality too. I just shopped at Hobby Lobby and spent plenty of money! I brought up an item that had a sale sticker on it. They treated me like I had put the sticker on it... it was incorrectly placed. This was not my doing! They were horrible and took the item away and called 2 managers to verify the wrong pricing! I should have left, as I was embarrassed and treated very rudely! As much as I love HL this store is a mess! I'm surprised there haven't been lawsuits because of all the clear plastic tubs full of stuff piled high all over the store just waiting to fall over on someone. Good luck getting g to something behind the stack of stuff. I even saw one with glass used for shelving sitting on the floor available for anyone including kids to get ahold of. I understand shipments come in and there's a ton of new stuff (Christmas in Sept!) but you either need to get the job done or hire more help. My next step is to reach out to corporate. Sure they have a huge selection of decor but the store is a mess. Items are scattered all over the place and stacked everywhere. I was checking out and found one of my items was missing a piece, I asked the manager who was just standing around if she could help me find another one. She said no. Did you look on top? Ok, so I go back to look and there's no more that I can see so now I have to wait another 15 minutes in the return line because the object was broken. Most employees are rude and unhelpful except the sweet woman taking the returns. But the point of sale system is so antiquated it takes 5x the amount of time it should to do any sale or return. And I'm betting that broken item will be back on the shelf tomorrow. Do better HL. read more

Super selection! I came here to check out the new Hobby Lobby near our area in Rocklin. I came specifically to get a custom frame done for a photo to give as a gift. I browsed at the different frames and they had all types, colors and size with styles ranging from modern to rustic and everything in between. There were also mattes available to complement the photos. I decided on a frame and a matte and had them put it together. The young employee was very helpful and fast. In 20-mins she had it all nicely done. The frames are 50% off if you have them put it together (additional $5 service charge). The new store is located at the Blue Oaks Town Center in Rocklin. Lots of craft supplies and home decor items. I did not get a chance to go down each aisle as I was on my lunch break and had limited time to browse. It was once occupied by Stein Mart and Spirit Halloween. The new Hobby Lobby store opened on Friday, July 29th, 2022. The manager or female with the iPad takes her job way too seriously. I understand trying to close a line due to breaks but inconveniencing/ borderline arguing with customers is not appropriate. If the person needed to take a break she could've jumped on the register which she did not. Anyways. Please retrain all of the younger female employees here on how to speak to customers in a customer service role. I literally never ever write reviews but for this Hobby Lobby trip I AM! I asked the lead at the cashier area if it was okay to do a store credit return as I did not have the receipt but everything was legit brand new with tags. I believe her name was Tiffany but in case I get the name wrong, short bob dark hair with pink streaks. Because the items were not in season her and the cashier both gave attitude and were acting passive aggressive towards the transaction as if I came in to screw them over. Some of the items were not eligible for a full refund as it's out of season which was no problem. Knowing that it's the holidays I made it a point to be even more understanding & patient than I probably should have given how rude they both were. With how clearly upset she was at the end of the transaction I asked are you mad? She said "now we can't use these things" as if Hobby Lobby doesn't have literally THOUSANDS of items let alone out of season clearance selections which is what my return consisted of. I usually love hobby lobby. I bought some things a few days ago and I asked the cashier if I could get a price adjustment if they go on sale next week (today) she said yes as long as you bring your receipt. I said ok. 2 out of 3 things didn't work so I returned them today and told the cashier about the 1 item I kept and how it's now half off. She said I needed the actual item. I told her it's hanging on my wall. I had the receipt and even the tag of the item. She said she couldn't do it without the item. That is crazy! Idk if I'll go back because I don't live close. Every time I'm here there is a SINGLE cashier and no less than 7 customers in line. What has happened to Hobby Lobby? It use to be a fun place to come a shop and now it's becoming more and more of a chore. The line, the single line, is backed up into the Kerbys and the Manager is just standing and looking at everyone. Keep things at this rate and customers will choose the self checkout at Michael's over this atrocity. Do better. read more

We took our Special Ed students on an outing here. Everything was beautiful and organized. However, when we were in line checking out, that's where the unprofessional and rude behavior was displayed by Denise, Assistant Manager. We were all in one line, when Denise opened up a line and asked the two ladies (not with us) to come over that she was opening. One of our teachers and student went over to her line. After she rung up the two ladies, she then looked at the teacher and student and rudely say, im closed. She turned her light off and simply walked away. Our student was confused as to why she did that and went to another line. I will stick to shopping at the Hobby Lobby near my home because of this. read more

i feel HORRIBLE for all the employees and honestly anyone who has set foot in here. i came in for supplies for a project and tiffany, who is the manager here, gave me such a foul and sour attitude for trying to pickup an online order. while trying to keep calm and breathe, she was snapping at me from behind the counter and to be frank, i was gagged at what decaying oder came from her rotten trap. she herself is a stark reminder that there are people who exist on this earth to make your life difficult. She must be so miserable in her own skin and has nowhere to put the festering hate that boils within her so it spills out through her brittle veneers. a shameful excuse for a human being and a GROWN WOMAN who still acts like a child after all these years to grow up. i pray her prefrontal cortex grows (it stops growing at 25....) and i also say a prayer for the customers and poor employees that come into contact with this disgrace. read more

This is a big location that carries various RC cars and other cool items. The staff is very professional and educated on the items.

Zero effort to work properly as a store. Only two cashiers but yet 1 "manager" and at least 6 other employees but yet 15 people in line. I asked the " manager" who was said to be only customer service. Why is there no one else at the register and she said only a handful are trained. Embarrassing to be working at that store for zero support for the registers. I will never support this store because of this inefficient and unwilling to help customers. Watch out for this business and its cashiers. 8 out of 10 times they always ring me for a higher amount...even when the item is clearly marked in a red tag clearance price. Sketchy to say the least. Forgot to mention...4 people in line, one register whilst other employees walking around...the store was not crowded either. Amazon has better delivery time than this store. I love this store and the selection of merchandise, but the Management needs to be more concerned with her customers. I have been in multiple times and waited in a long line while the manager holds her meetings up front. Several times the manager is up front with multiple employees and only one cashier. There seems to be no concern for the number of customers in line or the customers that have left due to the wait time. I have noticed there is a lot of mechandise in boxes on multiple isles at all times and I haven't seen this at other locations. I hope it gets better soon or I will take my business somewhere else. read more

Currently standing in line behind 15 people with 5+ behind me. The only other register open also has at least 20 people in it. Stood in one spot for about 10 minutes while the two slowest checkers I have ever encountered helped one person each. The "manager" on duty is just standing around staring at the lines doing nothing. Probably at least 10 employees stocking shelves that could be pulled to get the line down but there seems to be not impulse to do so. The manager should be on a register as well but she seems content to do nothing; strange she can earn a paycheck for that. This location is very poorly managed if having customers wait 30 minutes or more to checkout is acceptable. I highly recommend the location on Douglas as even at the busiest times I have never waited more than 10 minutes. read more

When I saw this Hobby Lobby open up here in Rocklin, of course, I had to visit! I love that they have lots of decorations, craft supplies, nick nacks and seasonal items. The only thing I don't like are the long lines and just not enough cashiers. Go early as there is lots to look at, and be ready to wait for your cool finds. read more

I'll give it two Star's Since it was very neatly arranged... But a little early for so much Christmas stuff up. I mean it's 102° outside... But that wasn't the main problem. I had a coupon I got in the mail with an order about a year ago during Covid... I tried to use it on one of my items and she said no that she had no way of inputting it. It had no expiration date so I don't know what the problem was. If she was any type of manager she would've honored it. I didn't get the item so she lost business today from me and probably forever. And I definitely will tell about my experience at the new Rocklin hobby lobby. read more

Lots of damaged items, when asked if we could get a discount on one damaged item that was the last left they called the manager over and she refused to give us a discount on it. She was very rude about it. The lines were also ridiculous, ten to fifteen people long and only two lanes open. We will not be returning. read more

I don't know why this location has bad reviews. Compared to the local Michael's and Joann, it is much better maintained (and I love all three craft stores, so no bias there.) Yes, the lines can get long but that speaks to the popularity and they are good about directing customers to shorter lines. Actually, the only bad experience I ever had there was due to an irate middle-aged woman who thought she was more important than everyone else and caused a scene over waiting in line. I wonder if she left a bad review here. Lol. I do wish they took competitor coupons like Joann, but they do instead have great sales of entire categories, which ends up being better than competitor sales and better than the offered coupons. This year I have hit the sales to finally invest in some holiday decor - my kids are the perfect age to enjoy it, and I am super impressed with the quality of their selection for the price I'm paying. Went to the Hobby Lobby on Lonetree Blvd on 7/17 to get a canvas stretched. David helped us and was very informative and experienced. He said the canvas would be done by 7/31 if not sooner. 7/31 came and no one called me. I called yesterday 8/2 and spoke to Mary who I believe was a manager, to see if it was done. She said the frame had come in last week but the job wasn't done. Mary asked if David called me to say he was going on vacation and I said no. She made a comment about "that wasn't professional but I don't want to say anything more"? I called again today around 1 and Mary said it wasn't done but my canvas would be the first one David did when he got out of a meeting. Around 2:30 they called and said it was done. I went to the store and got it, then noticed the hanger cable wasn't attached to the back for hanging on the wall. Dave said he forgot and made one as I waited. Mary walked me to the register and I explained I was disappointed that it was late. I purposely brought it in the store 3 weeks (after the store said it would be within 2 weeks ) before I was to bring it to a family gathering and because it was late I couldn't. Mary started to say the frame came in late but I corrected her reminding her she said the frame was there but David was on vacation. Mary placed the canvas on the register and said "sorry". Maybe a discount of some type would have been a better approach. 2 cashiers were talking to each other while I waited to be rung up. It was a bad experience all the way around.... read more

I came here for the first time on Wednesday and couldn't believe how huge the store was very big white isles very big selection to choose from. This isn't just for home items. They also have stuff for crafting kids, toys, picture frames and much more. They have a lot of different items to choose from with very friendly staff who will help you find the item not just point to it they will walk you over to it and show you exactly where that item is which makes it easier that we are not walking through the whole store trying to find one item plus they always have great sales going on Which I appreciate a good sale I noticed that they have the fall items on sale for 90% off which is awesome and I noticed that they have the Christmas items 60% off which is even better. You don't need a coupon to get these great deals they definitely have something for everybody something for the bedrooms kitchen, and much more very happy that they got another location in Rocklin now if you don't know where to find it it's very simple right off the freeway next to crunch gym next to the dollar tree. Can't miss it. Great parking really cute items very clean establishment. Very friendly employees. Very nice organize store. I will definitely be coming back here again very soon for more future visits and more great experiences to come. I really love the selection of items that they have at the store, but the archaic practices that they have in place are a nightmare. Why do they have so many registers to only have two or three open at one time when several lines go to the back of the store? The customer service manager stand and watch everybody and do not do anything to help.
