These are the 2 sides in my 2 meat dinner as found on first opening. The cole slaw is less than half full, the green beans are proper.

The side container of cole slaw was less than half full and looked like someone had been eating from it. The lid was broken in 3 places before I touched it. I ordered through Door Dash and the bad was tightly ties closed with the receipt stapled to the outside and the bag was clean as was the inside of the styrofoam box the cole slaw was in (part of a 2 meat meal). The cole slaw was not dumped by the driver. I ordered Cherry Cobbler and it was not included in my bag, but Door Dash has made that right. Also, I did order 2 entrees and only received 1 cup of sauce to go with both. It has been a couple of months since my last order because my last order was messed up and because the food was sub par (gristly, fatty meat). I will not be ordering Hog Wild again and will advise my friends against it. There is much better BBQ from other local restaurants.

Best ribs I've had in the Kansas City area! Super juicy and tender, lots of flavor. Great sauce and delicious sides as well. I love this place and highly recommend. I eat here at least once a month

My mother chose this place to celebrate her mother's day lunch. We had never been here before, so first impressions are definitely lasting ones. The place is neat, clean and the smell of bbq isn't overpowering your nostrils. The girl who took our order was nice, but seemed sad in nature. She seemed as if something was upsetting her or like she had been crying. Nevertheless, she served us with a friendly demeanor. The food was quick and hot. The ribs were tasty, but could have used a few more minutes cooking. The potato salad had no flavor and the potatoes were way undercooked. I loved the mac and cheese and Texas toast. Their sauce was phenomenal. Awesome flavor...and the male cook was so nice. He came out asking customers if they enjoyed their meal, he even helped me carry oxygen tanks to my car so I could assist my mother as she walked. I will definitely be back...

    Pulled Pork, Turkey

The Turkey is terrible, it tastes like packaged ham, it had too many nitrates and other preservatives. The Pulled pork was good (minus the 1/2" bone i found) and the sides were good and many options. The amount of meat you get for a BBQ plate is not much. You shouldn't feel hungry after BBQ and spending $13... disappointed. Beamers is where it's at, you get plenty of food, so much it's enough for 2 dinners.

Hogwild is the newest entry into Lawrence for BBQ and the town has historically always been in need compared to its much bigger cousin Kansas City. Wichita-based, the Hog also has restaurants in Salina, El Dorado and Hutchinson with Lawrence being their newest venture. First off, the people working here couldn't be nicer and service is quick. When finished someone was promptly by picking up plates, napkins, etc. Two in our party of three opted for pulled pork sandwiches and I had the rib dinner (pork) with beans and fries. The ribs were a tad on the tough side on the outside and ends with not a lot of smoke flavor inside but still a pleasant hunk of meat that detached from the bone properly. Sadly, the curly fries and beans appear to come straight from a Sysco truck. Top that with the fact that we unanimously agreed someone didn't salt the fries at all and the beans had that straight out of a can taste. No meat, no smoke, little if any sauce. Uninspired beans are one of the great sad details in the BBQ experience for my nickel. Texas toast buttered comes with the dinner while a more traditional hamburger style bun with a little extra goes with the pulled pork. Sauces are very good, a hot and mild sauce with plenty of thickness and a sweet tangy taste. The dining area is pleasant enough but definitely high on the cutesy side of things. Not a distraction. The crowd was hopping and even though I was personally a little disappointed with my meal, it could be easily rectified with a little salt on the fries, some sauce and meat in the beans. I think this restaurant will do well. There's obvious attention to detail, I'm just thinking I got unlucky today with my choices. I hope they do well because Lawrence is always a town with plenty of folks needing a BBQ fix. I wouldn't hesitate to come again and would probably try their sandwich. If you come: - You order at one window, seat yourself and pick up your food at another window. - Credit cards accepted. - Easy in and out, quick, for those on a limited lunch hour. - Can see this being a popular to-go option for game days/nights. - Parking a little congested but that's due to the building that was already here that they took over.

You simply must try the giant spuds covered in pulled pork and sauce! Unbelievably delicious. Support staff is great. I'll be returning.

The worst BBQ I've ever had in my life. The meat was so dry it was like chewing on leather and I didn't like the sauce either, nasty.

I've gone to this place several times, and it is GREAT. However-…read more The food has been changing, and not really for the better. the quality has remained good for all the old items, but every time they update their menu, the new item(s) is identifiably worse than the old items, so go quick before they swap it all their best stuff! The service is okay, most of the workers are either high school kids begrudgingly trying to make some cash or dedicated managers that love the establishment, so it's about a fifty-fifty split. The ambience is decent- somewhere between classic bbq and diner. It's neither the fanciest nor the cleanest, definitely leaving something to be desired BUT not much!

Adding an update as this spot has come in clutch a few years in a row now…read more Friend and I have a tradition to get together for skeet shooting nearby each November, often needing a spot with a dog friendly patio afterword. This could not have fit the bill any better than it did. For starters, the perfect fall weather, paired with the ample picnic benches, games, and dog-friendly nature of this spot should be enough to catch your attention. The friendly server also happened to have a similar dog to mine, and her energy added to the great vibes overall. The food was good and hit the spot. First time in I had a chicken sandwich and while it was a bit generic, or maybe a better term is replicable, it still landed for me. This time I got more of a BBQ platter with ribs, pulled pork, fries and Texas toast. It all was good, particularly the BBQ sauce. The ribs feel right off the bone and the pulled pork had a nice flavor. Good option if you're outside of Lawrence in the Eudora area.
