Went in there this morning, planning to have a great selection of donuts but wasn't the case-none of those pictures of tons of colorful donuts were there-not even close(should've taken a picture) We also wanted a croissant & was told they were out but then heard another customer order one so ended up ordering one. We got 1/2 donuts mostly glazed because there really wasn't much of a selection. We wanted to order breakfast sandwiches but it seemed chaotic so we took the donuts and left. It wasn't super busy even for a Sunday so..? The donuts are good and homemade but I was expecting a lot more variety & organization. Sadly, it's a one & done for me. read more

Lust, greed, envy, (sugar induced) sloth...... yep, A Hole In One Donuts pretty much covers the gamut of your basic cardinal sins. I suppose the one redeeming action it does is to close on Sundays. That leaves six out of seven days for breaking every New Years resolution to lose weight or falling off your South Beach/Paleo/Keto/etc diet. They built this right around the corner from my house, and the struggle is real y'all... After having had donuts from their location on MLK, I knew they were an amazing, independent family owned and run donut shop. The difference between this one and their MLK shop is that they don't offer as many decorated donuts, which is fine by me. However if you swing by the MLK shop, you'll see that they decorate donuts as you would find a cake shop. I wouldn't dare to insult them by including Dunkin' Donuts as a competitor. Krispy Kreme comes close but A Hole in One just does it way better. If you're interested in comparing prices, it's just slightly more. This is perfectly fine given that they cannot achieve the same economies of scale, and I don't mind helping a mom-and-pop store succeed. A basic dozen glazed is about $9.99 and it's a dollar more for a mixed dozen. I myself am a purist. I go for a simple glazed doughnut or jelly filled. As another customer pointed out, their glazed croissants are also amazing. Don't tell the French as they may steal the idea because it has seriously reinvented the croissant. Stories are true so try to get here before 12 noon. Although they continuously make them throughout the entire day, it's not going to be as fresh because obviously, they're not going to be emptied out as frequently. There is plenty of parking in this complex that also houses the Walmart grocery store, as well as Tuesday morning. This place is packed on Saturday mornings, when I normally come by. I would be tempted to try one of their egg sandwiches for breakfast, but normally don't have the time. The staff here out front is young, but I've never had anything except incredibly efficient and friendly service. read more

Wish the manager, possible owner, was a little nicer to their staff, but G.D. them doughnuts are so good I'm still giving it 5-stars. I think these guys have the best doughnuts in the greater Tampa Bay area and ya'll know my opinion is da Bible. So join me in saluting sweet delights and go for a doughnut. This is a family operation and I much rather support them than a huge chain that doesn't take pride in their product. We have been going here since they opened this location and we have always had great food and a good experience. It's a gem that's kind of tucked away because of the construction , but it is worth the visit and we have definitely become regulars now. Not good for my hips, but delish to my lips! read more

Figured I'd give this place a try. Bought an apple fritter and a breakfast sandwich. Fritter tasted stale, definitely not fresh. Could be that I went in the afternoon but still no excuse for the staleness. Breakfast sandwich was ehh. The egg looks like it's microwaved. Reminded me of a sandwich from Dunkin Donuts. For the cheap price I shouldn't have expected more. I'll try a donut next time and hopefully my review can be updated. But so far, very disappointed. read more

This is by far the best donuts in the greater Brandon area. The guava filled donut is amazing. It's just a great place for a breakfast sandwich, donut and a cup of coffee. If I could give 4.5 stars I would because the people working in the shop aren't rude but they don't seem overly excited to be there. But then I would love love love to work in a busy donut shop so maybe I am a bit strange in that regard. read more

I had the sausage, egg and cheese which was so good! My husband had the bacon egg and cheese which he complained that there wasn't enough bacon but said he'd still eat again. Really great and made fresh from scratch donuts. This is locally owned and operated so they are very grateful for your support. Is fun to stop where the staff greets you and welcomes your input. Amazing!!! The sour cream donut is so nice and soft. The glazed croissant is really good as well! Not too sweet, but just the perfect amount of glaze. The pig in a blanket comes in jalapeno and cheese, I got the jalapeno and it was really good! Lastly we got the sausage,egg & cheese croissant sandwich, and it was a really good size and tasted amazing! Can't wait to come back! Totally recommend! read more

All the other positive reviews are spot on. Donuts are delish. Only problem is that they sometimes have trouble keeping up with demand, but if what you want is not in the display case, they will be happy to check in the back to see what has just finished baking. Major disappointment. Plain cake donuts fried way too long, dry and crumbly, no taste. Original glazed ok. Honestly, any area grocery store bakery has as good if not better donuts. Selection is about same as Publix. Not a lot to choose from. Dining area awful. Tables are so close together, uncomfortable and awkward. Only good thing is the free coffee refills when dining in. Dining area has large flat screen tv with audio blasting. While I was eating, staff and one customer did play by play of the game show that was on. Not good, especially if you didn't go there to watch tv. My advice - ditch the tv, separate the tables more, add more selection and most of all, make better donuts. Went here on National Donut Day and they still had a decent selection at the time we went (around 12pm). I got a chocolate twist donut while my husband got a frosted sprinkle donut. We were given the option of a free glazed donut or a free glazed croissant in honor of national donut day. We chose the croissant and it was amazing! All the donuts were nice and soft. Almost had that melt in your mouth feel. We will definitely be trying some of their other menu items soon! read more
