Best doughnuts in Lakeland! My department and I buy these doughnuts every so often to treat ourselves. It's our favorite place. Glazed croissants and Maple Bacon are our favs. The sausage pig in a blanket and sausage & jalapeño pig in a blanket are also a huge favorite. I've had glazed, fruit pebbles, strawberry, so many flavors and every single one is delicious. This place does get busy especially with specific events (last day of school etc). Make sure you come early and are ok with a wait. Popular with reason means people come to get the good stuff. There's places to sit but it's mostly an order and go type of place. Staff is always great. Plenty of parking because it's in a plaza. It's easy to get to and find. HIGHLY recommend. Fresh made, soft, delicious doughnuts. read more

Too bad you messed up my order again. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich extra egg . I get a damn sandwich with no bacon. Not cool an this isn't the first time your store has messed up my Orders. Such as giving me bacon on a sandwich when I clearly ordered a sausage egg cheese biscuit. I try to learn everyone's favorite donut on my team so they can start their day off right and Hole in one does not disappoint with the classics. Boston cream, blueberry cake, sour cream, maple glazed, and apple fritters top the list. Along with all the classics they also offer kolaches(pigs in a blanket, sausage rolls) both plain sausage and with jalapeño. if you want to order more than one or two make sure to call ahead! I loved Hole in One Donuts and will return whenever I am in the area. My daughter and I arrived late in the morning so many of the donuts were gone. Fortunately they still had several to choose from. We decided on a chocolate on chocolate, sour cream, pink glazed and twelve assorted donut holes. I really enjoyed the sour cream donut. It had a vanilla base with a crunchy outside and a soft cake inside. The chocolate cake donut with chocolate frosting was amazing and if you like chocolate it is a must order. The donut holes were delicious. I preferred the blueberry and strawberry flavors. The donut shop is kind of a little hole in the wall type place. It's clean but looks worn down. We got four donuts: 1. Blueberry filled -- tasted like a blueberry pie 2. French crueler -- amazing; fell apart in my hands 3. Apple fritter -- also amazing; albeit a little hard 4. Eclair with crime -- this was OK compared to the rest Quality was great but really just a glorified Dunkin. Nothing elaborate or special about this place and the staff was rude. The donuts were NOT labeled well or intuitively for a new customer and the team behind the counter were annoyed at our questions, making snide comments to one another and overall not friendly. Heard great things about this place but likely won't be back -- we'll save our donut cravings for someplace else. read more

Glazed maple donut- light as a feather with a maple glaze that is not the normal shiny glaze you see elsewhere. Full of flavor with a light spring to the dough. Apple fritter- Dryer than I like. In my opinion there's a balance between oil and apple filling that just has to happen to make the fritter "perfect". This missed the mark but the maple glazed made up for it 100%. These are the ultimate best doughnuts I have ever had(thought my hometown NY doughnuts were the best) Baked fresh every day, amazingly super soft, delicious large sized donuts (DDs sorry, you have been replaced). I have visited their Plant City, and I believe it's Valrico locations, and must say, same great tasting doughnuts at every location! Oh, friendly staff, and always willing to get you that one doughnut that ran out (they did for me)! First ever cronut (glazed croissant) and I am so In love y'all. All of their donuts are good. My church gets them Sunday mornings for the congregation and I am never disappointed. Planning to visit the actual shop soon. Update: finally went to the actual shop and it's nice and small and clean. Great breakfast/brunch. They have tons of breakfast sandwiches on croissants and bagels and all for a really reasonable price. I got the sausage dog and some cronuts and am not disappointed. I can't for the cronuts. In all fairness, we did get some regular glazed donuts and jelly filled donuts to take home and ate them after my original post. They were quite good. Woohoo! The secret is out, Lakeland has another new donut shop and it WILL give the two mainstream chains, Krispy & Dunkin a run for their money! Tucked in a strip mall on Edgewood, open 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. (6 am on Saturdays). They make their donuts fresh daily. A dozen donuts is $7. Single donut holes are a dime. Coffee is a buck or there's a cold case for sodas and bottled fraps. I had an eclair, 2 donut holes and a soda for $2.28. If price doesn't draw you back, wait til you taste things! The eclair was a tantalizing bit of heaven--just enough dough to caress the custard and provide surface for the chocolate. It was plumply filled and sweetly balanced to mmmmelt in your mouth. you can choose creme-filled if you're not into the delicate custard. There couldn't have been any calories in this lighter-than-air concoction. The sugar-rolled donut hole was also yum, you could taste the hint of vanilla. The chocolate donut hole was a bit dry--but it was a snitch from the sample tray and perhaps sat out longer. There are oodles of sprinkle-covered options. A personal fave is the "zebra" frosted. They make hot breakfast sandwiches--the most expensive is $2.45. They have pigs in blankets (hot dogs wrapped in jalapeno pastry) just yum. They custom stuff flavored jellies into donuts upon request. I hate to give this a 5-star rating and for the word to get out, lengthening the lines, but they deserve to become billionaires.....YUM-O. read more
