We went for the first time on a Saturday eveing, around at 630/7pm. It was fairly crowded. We were very lucky to get a table walking in. It is off the beaten path at the Marina, hidden. It is very cute and quaint. They have a pool and outdoor bar which I think is an incredible idea! It sits right next to the boat docks so we had an amazing view of the water.
Inside was plenty of room with the most comfortable chairs for seating. They have table seating and indoor bar seating. They have large windows (with shades) so we got a nice breeze and kept the water view. We watched the sunset while eating, so it was perfect.
The wait staff was friendly, honest, and helpful.
The menu had many options if you enjoy seafood or carribbean type food. I do not eat carribbean food, so I was going to get the steak tacos but couldn't justify $20 for three tacos. They do have pulled pork and a burger for those who don't want carribbean.
My husband and I got the crab dip appetizer. OMG! SO DELICIOUS!!! it comes with pita bread for dipping. The pita was so warm, soft, and fresh. It was seasoned well, although it had a little more salt than my liking (I am salt sensitive) but it paired perfectly with the dip itself. It was plenty for the two of us to share.
We both ordered the Cheeseburger. It comes just a burger and cheese- you do have to tell them if you want toppings. I ordered it medium rare, with onion, tomato and pickle. No lettuce. It came well done- lettuce, and no pickle. No big deal but wasn't exactly what I asked for.
The bun was soft, and perfect patty to bun ratio. It wasn't dry but wasn't as moist as it could be. It reminded me of throwing a boxed patty from the store, onto a grill in your backyard and really cooking it. Wasn't terrible but I have had better. My husband enjoyed his.
The burger comes with a side of your choosing. He had applesauce and I ordered the grilled plantains. The plantains were soft, plump, and had a sticky glaze to them. It was not what I was expecting but they were good.
For drink, I ordered water with lemon. I always order water. It was disgusting. It tasted like unfiltered river water. My husband said "it tastes like water. " I tasted a weird taste and couldn't drink it, so I ordered a root beer instead. The root beer was yummy.
Would I go back to try something else? Maybe.
The ambience was great. The prices were too high for the quality of food. read more
