I had heard so much about Holy Grail Donuts and they absolutely lived up to the hype. The fact that they're all vegan is amazing, and you honestly wouldn't know it. They come out fresh, warm, and are so, so good. We even put the leftovers in the fridge and they still tasted great later. I also love that they're on the smaller side. They're the perfect size because you get your donut fix without feeling too guilty... or you can just justify trying a few different flavors. We got an original sin, tropical swirl, food of the gods & chocolate crunch. All were loved by our group. Tropical swirl was the least loved by the adults as it's extremely sweet but the seven year old loved it. Overall favorite for my group was the original sin. Maple isn't my thing so I didn't try it. My favorite was the food of the gods - it had tons of vanilla sugar on it and was so different from any other donut I've had. It's well balanced and not too sweet. We tried four flavors--Original Sin, Cocoa Nibs, Passion Fruit (Lilikoi), and Honey Glazed--and let me tell you, they were all phenomenal. But if we had to choose, Original Sin and Honey Glazed were the standouts. Yes, I know that sounds basic, but sometimes the classics just hit different--and these absolutely did. The donuts are perfectly sized--not too big, not too small--and the servers are as nice as the donuts. On our visit, they recommended what to order and we got lucky with a free donut. We actually ended up visiting both locations just to try different flavors and get the full experience. No regrets. 10/10 recommend making a donut detour (or two) during your stay. Yelpers recommended this stop as a must. We ended up ordering one of each donut drom the menu, sampling them and then ordering another batch of our favorites. The donuts are surprisingly dense but fluffy if that makes sense. We also ordered a couple of their coffee drinks, they only come iced. The stop has a couple long bench-style tables with a patio cover and the donuts are made fresh within the trailer. There is cute merchandise for sale to purchase to bring home a souvenir. They allege they are made to order but seem to have sold out as though it's premade. Mind you, this was also off-season, and on a Wednesday. When we came to this same location 8 months ago, the lattes were much better then, some of the better coffee up north. They've changed their coffee. Today, they were not good at all. They weren't balanced or nuanced. They gave us our drinks about 20 seconds after ordering, so there's no way someone could have pulled a fresh shot of espresso. Maybe they were draft lattes? Love that they already use DF milk but the coconut flavor from the coconut cashew milk was quite strong and couldn't really taste the matcha. We ordered: -- 2 chocolate crunch -- needs a tad more sugar -- 1 POG -- light flavor -- 1 chai -- very light chai in flavor Quite pricey at $4.50 each. For this price I'd rather have a malasada or cream puff -- those are also roughly at the same price point. The donuts are definitely made fresh, so expect a wait of at least 10 minutes, longer if there's a line. The smell of oil around the hut and from the donuts is not my favorite. There was a bit of oil residue in the box from the donut I ate. Maybe it's how long they drain the oil afterward -- I don't know. Just didn't taste great. I also ordered a cocoa latte and it was ok.
