Bagels were awesome. Mine had a nice jalapeño flavor. I thought it might not be as flavorful and spicy but it was perfect. Blueberry bagel was delicious. We got everything to go but will mention issues below next time. Asked for toasted bagels and they did not appear to be toasted but they were so delicious and loaded with cream cheese, I'm not unhappy at all. In fact they were so soft and fresh, honestly didn't need toasting. Service was friendly and fast. Coffee tasted really weak. The help yourself coffee area needs some attention to cleanliness so those two issues were where they lost points today. Fantastic bagels and friendly staff! I had the Holey Moley sandwich on the Jalapeno Asiago, and it was very tasty - hit the spot! Tip: go early as they sell out of some of the bagel varieties. Also know that they have drip coffee and some premade, flavored iced coffees, but do not have espresso drinks or cold brew. read more

We loved this place sooo much we were ordering it 1-2x a week. Recently our order quality has gone down hill sadly. We always get the ham egg and cheese bagel. At first the ham was excellent. They then after some time switched the ham to a much thinner version. It still tasted the same but because of the switch we had to order extra ham at an extra fee to match what it used to be. Well.. today they changed out the ham to this nasty deli ham. Not even close to the same taste or quality. And since we ordered extra due to the previous version we got a TON of it. It was not good. Sadly will probably have to go elsewhere now. read more

What can I say? Being from NJ, I feel I have an undeniable right to judge any place that boasts bagels from NYC. As far as bagels go, this place isn't the worst, but it's certainly not the best. Especially when you consider its slow service, it took 30 mins to get a bagel. Not to mention that their exhaust fan was broken, and the amount of smoke in the place had people crying. I really wanted to say I found a good bagel shop but this isn't it. You are better off not actually making the trip here and just ordering from Uber Eats to save your lungs and eyes. read more

This was such a great find! Extremely clean, with friendly, thoughtful service. There are a myriad of breakfast sandwiches and options--my bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast bagel was just about perfect. The bagels are also excellent, with plenty of varieties , and plenty of different cream cheese choices, as well. If you've been disappointed with some of the offerings of the chains, this should be a welcome (and superior) alternative l. An excellent (and only) fresh New York Bagel option in Jacksonville with excellent customer service! I recently attended the Grand Re-Opening of the Holey Moley Bagel Bar in Jacksonville. The shop has new owners and an entire shop make-over. The shop is very inviting, clean, and offers a comfortable seating area. One entire wall features a custom-painted mural while other walls exhibit local artwork. There is a neat coffee bar with numerous syrup selections to compliment locally-roasted coffee. There are also display cases with pastries and shelves full of fresh bagels ready to be selected. The Burch family has truly poured their hearts and souls into this fine shop. I ordered several items and was very pleased with each of them. I first tried the KB Special based on a recommendation from the cashier. One of their daily specials, the breakfast sandwich, featured bacon and egg on a French toast bagel drizzled with maple syrup. The was a perfect balance of salty and sweet. I was very pleased and would order it again. I next tried the "Debo" breakfast sandwich on an Asiago Everything Bagel. This sandwich had seasoned chopped steak, egg, peppers, and smoked gouda cheese. This was everything! It was very filling and was a complete meal. I was most impressed with how fresh everything tasted and was shocked (and impressed) to learn they make eggs fresh for every order. They literally crack and scramble eggs for each order. None of their food is waiting under a heat lamp and everything is prepared quickly and delicious for every order. Finally, I tried the Lox on a Garlic Bagel. My choice included the veggie cream cheese layered with fresh sliced tomato and red onion, capers, and plenty of smoked salmon. In addition to the fresh bagels and pastries, there is a very nice coffee bar, plenty of beverage options and breakfast bowls and platters, and sub sandwiches. The shop also advertises catering. It's very important to point out that this location is called the Holey Moley Bagel Bar (not shop) as there is a different location with different owners. During my experience at the Bagel Shop, I was impressed by the continual interaction between the staff and customers. They treated everyone like family, but also acted very professionally and maintained a clean environment. Overall, the Holey Moley Bagel Bar is a wonderful locally owned and operated business with amazing customer service and outstanding bagels and food. I highly recommend checking them out! read more

I found out about this restaurant through a local food review group on Facebook. I was excited to try it out and get a bagel sandwich for lunch. I ordered the Deebo and my brother got the Holy Smokies. We also shared a side of hash browns. I'm not sure if we got the right hashbrowns (there were supposed to be peppers and onions) but the potatoes were still good. I loved my sandwich and we both said we will be coming back again soon. Also, we got there right at the end of the breakfast rush and the girl behind the counter came out and cleaned all the tables and chairs while we waited on our food to be cooked. Not terrible but not great. Good texture but on the small side and overall lacking flavor. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a jalapeño Asiago that had NO jalapeño taste or kick. They also forgot the garlic and herb cream cheese I had asked for. I also got a blueberry bagel with mixed berry cream cheese and same thing - lacking in flavor. The cream cheese was just meh but no chunks of berries or any real flavor there. Guess I will save my bagel indulgences for New York, because these are certainly not New York standard read more

Just moved here from NY so when I saw this place I said to myself "thank effing g*d" cause I have not been able to find a good NY bagel. Well, I hate to say I still have not found it. Although the bagels are not horrible, they do not compare to a real NY bagel. In any case the food was good and the service and people working there were very friendly and helpful. This was the second time I was at this place. The first time was on a Monday and much to my disbelief they were closed. NY bagels shops are never closed on Mondays!!!! I like to support small business, however, this was my first and LAST visit to this place. Prices posted do not match what you are charged. When I inquired about it, young man got another guy from kitchen, he didn't identify himself so don't know if is owner/mgr. He came out, stood there said 'yes'. Explained my concern, his reply was to blame customers. Claimed menu board was covered up but customers wanted to see items. No apology or attempt to rectify. All he had to do was cover prices on menu board! Even more insulting, I watched him give a customer after me a hash brown for free!! Bagel was good, service horrible! As a Jersey girl in FLA, it's very hard to find good Taylor ham and cheese on a bagel. Well look no further this is your place! You have to really look for it but it's here on College.... Nestled in the corner of a little strip mall run don't walk and enjoy the best bagels in Jacksonville. Not only do I recommend a Taylor ham and cheese but my son swears by their bacon egg and cheese.
