Came here just for the mini golf, so I can't speak on the restaurant. The space has a lot of cute photo ops, which is a plus. However, as a mini golf experience, it wasn't the best option in Orange County. The holes feel very cramped, and there's barely any space between them. You end up waiting in line at every hole, and you're basically elbow to elbow with the group in front of you and the group behind you. It made the experience feel crowded and less enjoyable overall. While it was fun to check out once, I wouldn't come back here for my mini golf fix. read more

I really wanted to leave a good review for this place because it's super cute. The decor was beautiful, and they did a great job with the overall look. The review on the golf side is simply what it is. It's indoor golf with no airflow or AC, and kids running around everywhere, so that part was expected and nothing to complain about. However, the restaurant was absolutely terrible in terms of service. The food itself was pretty good, but the service completely ruined our experience. The servers could barely stand still long enough to take our order or explain how anything worked. Apparently, you order and the food just comes out whenever it comes out, not in any normal order like most restaurants. It was difficult to even get a drink refill. Some appetizers were missing--we let it go, but still got charged for them. Some main entrées never came at all. We weren't charged for those, but they would have arrived after the rest of the group had already finished eating. We thought we chose a good time to sit down and eat since most diners were out playing and we were one of the few tables being waited on, but that didn't make a difference. This place is exactly what the Spectrum needed, but it has to do better. They need to work out the major kinks and improve the service. Unfortunately, we don't see ourselves coming back anytime soon. This was our first visit to Holey Moley but certainly not our last. Both of us, my wife and I, really enjoyed the unique golf holes, but we enjoyed the friendly and efficient personnel more. One in particular, a young lady named Eve really stood out for the way she interacted not only with us but with all of the other customers nearby. Absolutely the place to be if you're looking for a ridiculously good time! We went on a Saturday and honestly had the time of our lives. We did the private karaoke, we did the golf, and we just went all out with everything they had to offer. The staff here are next-level amazing. Every single person we met was super friendly, and even when they were running a little behind on the karaoke schedule, they kept the vibes high and made sure we were having a blast. We recently celebrated our son's birthday here at Holey Moley - Irvine location. Our event coordinators and hosts Destiny and Sarah Vam. were fantastic. They made sure everything ran smoothly and that we had everything we needed to have a fun experience, thank you ladies! The challenge rooms were entertaining, and our energetic teens enjoyed this part of the event as well. The mini golf course was also very fun. My favorite cocktail drink here was the Watermelon Twinkle Toes served in a cute and fun unicorn cup. Music was awesome too. The atmosphere is very visually appealing and had fun signage. I love the look of the different courses, artsy, quirky, random. The mini golf theme was definitely on point. Unfortunately it was very unorganized and some staff seemed frustrated/annoyed. We (six people) opted for 27 holes and we checked in, we were giving two cards with three colors and three different times. There was no explanation except go over there and someone will help you. Well, we went over there and no one was there to help us so we just started where it said "start here". We ordered drinks and some people got their drinks and some people didn't. By the time we got to the ninth hole, we asked about a missing drink and we're about to go to the 10th hole when the staff questioned what we were doing and then scolded us because it's actually three separate courses of nine holes each so when you finish, you're supposed to leave the ball in the hole. So then we're obviously wondering then how do we start the next course without a ball and she seemed putt out and gave us coins and said to go get another ball. After we finished the 2nd course, there was again no one around so we had to go chase someone down for more coins. As we were in the 3rd course, it got super crowded so people were just going to anything that was open. It was chaotic and didn't seem like anyone cared what you purchased vs what you're actually doing. We did have a good time but I personally won't go back because it's too crowded and disorganized. Our team at LEAF Commercial Capital was looking for a fun team bonding event to celebrate an incredible 2025. We achieved many milestones last year, but most importantly, we were celebrating a record-breaking year in originations. Holey Moley in Irvine turned out to be the perfect place to mark the occasion. The experience was seamless from the start. I filled out a form on their website and spoke within 24 hours to Derek, who was great to work with. The booking process was straightforward; we were able to select packages for appetizers and drinks easily, and we had the event booked within hours. Although scheduling conflicts kept our full roster from attending, we had 34 people join the fun. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly team that was completely ready for us. They gave clear instructions on how everything worked and even took group photos of our staff right away--I was immediately impressed by their organization. A huge shout-out goes to Megan M., Ivan, and Destiny. They were incredible--organized, friendly, and dedicated to ensuring we had a great time. One specific thing that stood out to me, which I rarely see, is how genuinely happy the staff seemed. I actually asked Megan M. and Ivan about it, and they mentioned that their CEO and management team treat them very well. As a leader who prides myself on the culture we've built at our own organization--and doing whatever we can to take care of our employees--it was refreshing to see another company, especially in this space, succeeding at that. Once we settled in, the team hit the bar for drinks, and the food arrived promptly over the next 30 minutes. Dear Holey Moley Corporate Team, I am submitting a formal complaint regarding the treatment I received at your Holey Moley Irvine, California location. I am requesting a written response, follow-up, and a clear action plan on how this matter will be addressed. My friends and I booked three separate reservations for a total of 15 people. My reservation was for 6 people, another reservation was for 4 people, and another was for 5 people. Before the visit, one of my friends had trouble applying a coupon online. She called to book the reservation and was told by a representative that if the coupon could not be applied online, the price difference could be handled at the store when checking in. Based on that information, we booked our reservations and planned to ask the store staff during check-in. When we arrived, one person from another group brought outside alcohol. The manager, Ivan, kicked that group out. However, my group had not even arrived yet, and I was still in the process of checking in. I was not part of the group that brought outside alcohol. During this same time, my friend was able to receive a $30 store credit because the coupon issue could not be resolved online. I was also trying to resolve the same coupon issue for my reservation, but I was not able to finish the conversation because of the situation involving the other group. Ivan told us to come back another time and said he would honor the booking, but would not allow us to play that day. Based on that, we left. A few days later, I made another reservation and returned with my family to use my original booking. I also asked for the same store credit that had been issued to my friend for the same coupon issue. Instead of being treated fairly, I was treated as if I was trying to scam the business. Ivan and assistant manager Amy spoke to me in a condescending and disrespectful way. They told me there was a note in their system saying I had been kicked out. That was inaccurate. I was not kicked out for bringing outside alcohol. My group had not even arrived at the time, and I was still checking in. Despite explaining this multiple times, Ivan kept saying "you guys" were kicked out and used that as the reason to refuse to honor the coupon credit. The coupon issue had nothing to do with the outside alcohol incident involving someone else. Your website would not allow us to apply the coupon, and your representative told us the difference could be handled at the store. That should have been addressed fairly and consistently. When I told Ivan that he had not previously told me the coupon would not be honored, he responded by saying, "So now you're calling me a liar?" That is not an appropriate or professional way to speak to a customer. I am especially upset because different employees gave different explanations regarding the coupon. One employee said it could be handled at the store, my friend received store credit, but I was denied the same treatment. I was made to feel unwelcome, embarrassed, and looked down on. I also believe I was treated differently based on who I am. Ivan appeared to speak more politely and respectfully to white customers. He issued credit to my male friend but refused to issue the same credit to me, a woman, for the same issue. Amy also spoke to me as if I was a "cheap" or "crazy" customer trying to get a discount, instead of a paying customer asking to be treated fairly. This experience was humiliating. I felt like nobody cared about me from the moment I walked in. I do not understand why Holey Moley customer service would allow managers to treat customers this way. I am requesting the following: 1. A written apology from Holey Moley. 2. A direct apology from Ivan and Amy. 3. A clear explanation of why I was denied the same store credit my friend received. 4. Correction of any inaccurate note in your system saying I was kicked out. 5. An action plan explaining how Holey Moley will make this right. 6. Confirmation of what steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen to other customers. 7. Accountability for Ivan and Amy for their unprofessional and unfair treatment. I expect a response from corporate regarding this complaint and follow-up on the actions taken. Please contact me at your earliest convenience. We only did the activity rooms but we had such a blast. I'd recommend doing two of the three sets of the rooms as a time! By the third round we were wiped out! We were honestly considering leaving due to some initial service concerns, but Sarah stepped in and said 'not on my watch.' She completely turned the experience around and made everything right. Thank you, Sarah, for making our New Year's Eve so memorable ...we truly appreciate you! We also rented a room at the Hijinx Hotel and had an amazing time ringing in the New Year with the kids. The staff at the restaurant/ Bar side were very rude and unwelcoming. We were not even allowed to place our belongings on a table, even though we fully intended to order food and drinks. Instead of asking whether we planned to order, they immediately told us to leave. It was only after an attendant from the golf area spoke to them that we were finally allowed to stay. I don't understand why they were so upset about guests sitting at tables. Isn't the purpose of this restaurant to allow guests to enjoy golfing while eating and drinking? The experience at the bar was just as unpleasant. It was New Year's Eve, and while we weren't asking for any holiday greetings, the bartender spoke in an aggressive tone and was simply rude. Accused some kids taken some wooden stirs that looks like a surf board without permission when she was the one misplaced at an open area at the first place. If this establishment wants to be a family-friendly place, the staff clearly need proper training on how to welcome guests and provide respectful, courteous service. Upon arrival, my first thought was that this place is way too chaotic and won't be fun. I was wrong. It was actually very fun, and their $5 shot special plus awesome DJ, made the vibe. This is like clubbing meets mini golf. I came here the other day for date night, and did the two rounds of golf. We also got the kinky boot shots, which were pink, sparkly, and delicious! Kinda tasted like watermelon actually. There are three courses here, yellow, red, and white. All of the courses are pretty small, but actually really fun! It looks like there's a lot of people, and like you might be waiting around a lot, but it goes by pretty fast. We ended up doing some pars multiple times as we waited for the larger groups in front of us to finish their pars. After 8pm, this place becomes adults only, which was really nice because of the backlight and party vibes. This is def a really fun spot for a girls night out because it does get pretty loud. read more

This is a must! Whether you are a family with kids or in date night, you can't go wrong with this place. We tried all 3 courses for miniature golf and 10 different rooms. Wear comfortable shoes, especially if you are doing the game rooms. Be prepared to get warn out too. The staff was super helpful and it was easy to order drinks while golfing, despite them being busy. The only downfall was the gender neutral bathrooms. Not because they are gender neutral, but because little boys spray on seats. Yuck. Several of the bathroom seats weren't very clean. I rather not deal with that. This is only a review on the mini-golf/bar. The bar was well-themed, but staff was disorganized. Asked by three different people for our orders, and they weren't aware that we already ordered. Probably a result of new staff, but it was chaotic. Also, it was confusing where we should go. We lined up at the bar, but then someone came and took our order while we stood near the bar? And then after some awkward standing around, we just sat ourselves at a booth. We came 30 minutes early to our tee time to grab a drink/food. They took 40 minutes to arrive. Four drinks and some pretzel bites took 40 minutes. At least the drinks were strong. They're full of ice and in highball glasses, so don't expect to be able to sip them for very long. The mini-golf definitely could've been better. It was small and cramped and I would say only 4 out of 9 holes had anything really interesting. Some of them were just obvious filler. There are 27 holes in the space of what should be 9 regular mini-golf holes. It was pretty much a waste of time for any adults looking to go. We had a few drinks in us and it was still boring/dumb. It seemed like it would be okay for children, but the wear and tear was already showing on DAY TWO of official operations. (carpet is fraying making the surface uneven) I can only imagine what it would be like after a month. I can't even recommend the mini-golf during Happy Hour or whatever sale they've got going. Save yourself some money and pass on this and go to Boomers for mini-golf, cause this was no bueno. read more

This place was awesome! We had a great time. The details and artistry in each of golf booth was delightful. Loved the Vincent Van Gogh booth. And 9 holes for $10 was such a great deal for the Irvine spectrum that I didn't feel bad paying more for the food. Our kids had a great time and we'll definitely be back. I do recommend putting little golf ball holders (whatever they are called) at the start of each course as the ball kept rolling of the marked tape starting line.
