This coffee shop is located in an older strip mall and is exceptionally popular. I came by on a weekday around noon and the place was packed with groups of folks enjoying casual conversation over a coffee as well as the expected cluster of laptop hobos. There were no open tables but they have a window counter with fun swivel seats so I eventually sat there. The staff were quite friendly and acknowledged all their regulars. I ordered a hot vanilla latte and also a strawberry croissant from the remaining items in the pastry case (which, at that point, was only 4 or 5 choices). My order was delivered to me, which was appreciated. The vanilla latte, served in a ceramic mug, was very good - standard but perfectly done. The strawberry croissant was gigantic with a lightly flavored strawberry coating on part of the exterior. They presented it on a plate with fork and knife which was the only way to eat it. The crisp exterior of the croissant and the hardened coating crumbled all over the place as I cut into it. Messy but good. There was a mere tablespoon of strawberry filling in part of the croissant, which was delicious, and had me wishing that they'd added a bit more or spread it out throughout the middle instead of one small blob. During the half hour I sat at the counter it got very busy, at times the line went out the door. I guess because there aren't many coffee shop choices at this end of town? Well, it's definitely better than McDonalds across the street! read more

This seasonal item features a short americano with a sea salt cream top and it's much needed because the espresso itself was pretty acidic. I came here at the right time to find their seasonal latte to be a sweet potato one. Tried it once, blew me away. Asked if it would be better iced or cold, highly recommend ordering it iced since their sweet potato cream top is only on the iced version (as I was told, thank you for the helpful tip!) I was here on Saturday, and due to the unknown of when these seasonal rotations happen, came right back on Monday. I may be back again on Tuesday. Appreciate they can make this a decaf. This is my second time here, a great place in Artesia for coffee and tea. The first time I went here there was barely any parking, but the coffee and tea here is SO YUMMY! I ordered their holos latte which is a unique drink experience: Earl grey tea, honey, oat milk, and espresso. Never had both tea and coffee in a drink and wasn't sure what to expect from it at first but it's great flavor, and I love that they use oat milk as that would be my typical go to. I also ordered one of their teas and tried to look at their menu and couldn't remember what it was.. but I got it iced and without any sweetener. The second time I went here, the parking wasn't too bad and I ordered their short cream latte. Love this one as it has a perfect balance of sweet and not too overpowering. Some notes about the space: both times I've been here it is usually filled with people relaxing , working, or studying. I noticed and counted about: 1 large 7 person table, 4 big tables Counter space with 4 seats Seated only chairs Outdoor seating In both times I've come here it was a grab and go scenario and I didn't stick around to hang out. If you plan to get work done here you may/may not be able to find seating. Takes about 10 minutes for your coffee order, staff is super friendly. My favorite drink ever from Holos was their seasonal sweet potato latte, especially as a hot drink. It was creamy, subtly sweet, and uberly comforting-- perfect way to start your mornings. But as of right now, I'd suggest the cinnamon caramel apple latte! **my little secret** When I'm on the go and pinched for time, I'll order my drink online for pickup through their website. No extra cost and no wait! Note: They're closed Sundays. Holos is the star of the show in this plaza and the parking lot shows for it. Unfortunately, the parking spots are extremely narrow and people don't know how to park. I'll usually find parking but on occasion you might have to park in the neighborhood. read more

I have stopped by on 2 different occasions to this coffee shop & it's so close to me that I feel I should've been more times by now! This coffee house is located in a plaza with plenty of parking available. I have only tried the vanilla latte with oat milk and it's so good. It's not too creamy and it's not too strong. It's very well balanced in flavor. The last time I went, my friend got the iced matcha and she liked it. I will definitely try that next time! They have indoor seating and 1 or 2 little tables outside. Both times I've been there hasn't been seating available. My daughter and I are on a mission to try every cute coffee spot in existence, so of course we had to stop by Holos before school drop-off. Best decision ever. We grabbed a matcha latte, a cookie butter latte, and a ham & cheese croissant -- and WOW. The croissant? Absolute perfection. The ham was crispy, the cheese was melted just right, and the bread was somehow buttery soft and crunchy at the same time. Sorcery?? I stuck with my forever fave, the matcha latte, and it was perfectly sweet, creamy, and everything my morning needed. My daughter tried the cookie butter latte and immediately declared it her new favorite. (She does not hand out compliments lightly. ) The place is adorable. The staff wasn't exactly throwing confetti when we walked in, but listen... those drinks said, "Don't worry babe, we got you." Holos officially passed our coffee adventure test. Holos is one of my go-to coffee spots! They've got a great variety of drinks, but I usually stick to an iced hojicha or matcha. I personally would say Holos serves the best hojicha latte in the area. I also love that they offer other matcha flavors like strawberry and blueberry. This is a Holo-istic review of one of my absolute favorite coffee shops. Holos has most likely appeared on your socials if you're in the coffee scene, as it's one of the trendiest places with the some of the best coffee. Thankfully, this spot is smack in the middle of suburbia, unlike most trendy coffee shops that you have to fight LA traffic to get to. The only limitation is that they're closed on Sundays. Their signature drink is the Holos latte. However, I must say this shop serves some of the best matcha lattes I've ever had, and trust me, I've had a lot. The grade is not too bitter and not too light. I recommend going half sweet (I believe they use simple syrup). Service is top notch. Every barista who's served me at the register was also so friendly and warm, and if you order a pastry for here, they'll serve it to you warm (they'll ask) on a nice trendy black plate with utensils. It romanticizes the whole experience working at Holos. They source their pastries from Nonna Mercato down in Bixby Knolls (LOVE this spot too!). Now for the space. It's minimalistic, with not a ton of wall decor but that's alright. They have one big communal table without plugs, a smaller 4-seater communal table along their front window with plugs, a few tables along the wall (plug presence varies), a few tables in the center, and a couple of more lounge seats. If you snag a spot, this is a GREAT place to do your work or study. But this isn't that huge of a shop, and by 10:30am, this shop is considerably full. So make sure to come in early if you plan on staying long. Otherwise, you'll just have to test your luck with seating. If you're just looking for a quick seat, they also offer a few stools right outside the shop. Holos is in a strip small with decent parking. I haven't had too hard of a time really finding parking. If anything, I just have to park a few businesses down. I know this is a long winded review, but I just wanted to genuinely vouch for how great of a cafe Holos is. If you've made it this far, I hope you're at least somewhat convinced to try Holos! read more
