It was very light and not super sweet and you can taste both the matcha and the pistachio in the drink. The strawberry latte didn't feel like puree was used but more infused into the coffee itself. I've been wanting to try this place for a while, and since I was in the area, I finally got the chance! Anytime I see a strawberry latte on the menu, I'm ordering it. I haven't seen any photos of this drink on their Yelp, so I didn't know what to expect. This was my first time having an iced strawberry latte without foam or a strawberry puree to sip through but honestly, I liked it. It looks just like a regular latte, but with a noticeable strawberry flavor. I know that combo might sound a little weird to some people, but it was super refreshing to me. I visited late on a weekday morning. There was plenty of parking in the lot in front of the shop, located on the east side of Centerpointe Plaza. The interior is bright and tastefully decorated. There were over a dozen two-top tables, each one occupied by single laptop users. A long communal table sat in the center of the room and had several available chairs, one of which I eventually grabbed. The young woman at the register was very chipper and conversational; she really made me feel welcome. Her presence honestly gave the place a positive vibe. I ordered a hot vanilla latte and chose a cheese danish from their well-stocked pastry case. The latte was blistering hot. I seared the taste buds off the tip of my tongue on my first sip. Twenty minutes later, once I could actually drink it, I must admit it was an excellent latte made with quality espresso with the vanilla flavor perfectly blended in. This place is located on the east end of Centerpointe Plaza facing Valley View Street. It took over the former Cachi Coffee location so the layout is similar. It's quite spacious with plenty of tables and chairs so I haven't had any issue finding an empty table on my visits, although it was quite packed on one occasion. It has a good variety of drinks to appeal to most coffee lovers. It even offers pour over coffee, which I don't see at too many places these days. I've been here three times so far and tried three different drinks. My favorite so far is Tonic Espresso, which is offered with four different flavor options - plain, strawberry, yuzu, and orange agave. I tried with orange agave, which was excellent. It tasted like an orange soda. Oat Cereal Latte seems to be one of the most popular items here. I didn't quite get the cereal aspect of it but was pretty good. The cream top on Pistachio Cloud Cold Brew was really good although it was kind of bitter once I got to the coffee part, but I probably should've mixed it before drinking half of the cream top. read more

The cereal latte is one of my longstanding favorite latte combinations, and is made with vanilla, honey, cinnamon, and oatmilk. It tastes almost exactly like honeynut cheerios, my cereal of choice growing up. I loved the latte so much when I first tried it years ago that I started recreating it at home on the regular. Anyways, the cereal latte was as scrumptious as I remembered. The dirty horchata with ube foam added on was also top-tier. The place is clean and a nice size for a bigger party to hang out. I saw lots of people Studying also which works too since it's not too loud in there. Great new addition to the made coffee family is this new big location! I love that the parking lot is convenient and it has so much more seating space. Service is moderately paced with two to three people working the front/barista. I got a matcha latte with a vanilla foam top. CONSIDERING THE UBE CLOUD? As someone who has eaten filipino ube desserts since early early childhood, I instantly have to give a good rating for their ube cloud. I have never eaten real ube: I don't fully understand how to articulate pandan, coconut, taro, cream, and ube flavors apart from each other at times when applicable, but this ube cloud DOES have the subtle "butteriness" I associate with ube. Thank you. So many places have barely there ube flavor and artificial flavoring that tastes like dye. This was good. MATCHA: The flavor is for serious matcha people. It has that basic depth to plain matcha. I'm not picking up that sort of playful, green "umami" from aminos or whatever. More of a bit of astringent serious matcha. imo. A good one, btw. It's enjoyable. BUT CAFFEINE SENSITIVE people: the matcha i can only enjoy in tiny sips and i am getting the instant dry mouth, but the caffeine so far feels calm but strong. enjoy carefully, bc I could not finish this drink. See update. UPDATE for caffeine sensitivity: You may need to skip the matcha. It's intensely strong even if it feels calm. The crash from drinking an inch was overwhelming. I was drinking so much water without relief. The caffeine feeling was otherwise smooth, but the instant dry mouth was the tell tale cue, I think. read more

Made coffee just had their grand opening yesterday (Friday). This is a coffee chain with multiple locations around Orange County, and now a new location in La Palma (near corner of Valley View and Orangethorpe). They combine high end coffee and tea with Korean flavors. For example there is a seasonal drink now that is based on a a creamy corn milk with some foam on top, served cold. Despite being a grand opening day (with some overcast clouds), the ordering line and drink delivery were both moving quickly, indicative of good service. For this day we decided to sample a few Sri k options. For me the standout was the matcha, extremely smooth and not bitter like other places. I don't know how they did this, but it seemed more like a green milk tea than a typical matcha, and I am all about it. There is the option to add both strawberry puree or blueberry puree and we of course tried both. For me the strawberry fused much better, keeping a smooth more smooth and the flavors combining well. The overall sweetness was also appropriate, with no need to adjust it down. In comparison the blueberry puree contained some whole blueberries, which would require a big stray or would be left at the bottom of sipping. Further the blueberries were much sweeter and I added milk at home to tone it down. We also got a regular Hot Coffee Latte, and a Spiced Chai Tea Latte. The coffee latte was strongly bitter, though I suspect part of this is that we dropped it down to only 25% sweetness. The Spiced Chai Tea Latte was strongly aromatic, as to be expected for chai. In this drink the 25% sweetness came across as subtle and a good level, for the chai aroma and taste are what carried the drink. read more

The matcha on its own tasted pretty watery, and while the ube had a nice flavor by itself, once everything was mixed together it just kind of fell flat. It ended up tasting like... nothing. The people who rated this a 1 star for not serving hot drinks 20 minutes before closing has no consideration for the workers and their need to clean certain machines early to make time for oh i dont know cleaning literally everything that the customers touched and sat on for like 30 paid minutes after serving entitled people like you for the past 8 hours. If I'd complain about ANYTHING, it'd be the lids! It's always a struggle to flip the flap without it squirting at my face or on my shirt, but a coffee lid has little significance to how the place is run so not a big deal. Not bad, was a little bit of a wait to get the Spanish Latte, but they "Made Coffee," and it was sweet and creamy. The staff making the coffee was a Korean man, this I know because I heard him speaking Korean on his cell phone, not very professional, he might be the manager or owner. Anyway, he was the only one making our coffee drinks and when he placed the lid on my coffee cup, he dropped the lid on the side of his shirt and proceeded to place it on top of my cup to which I responded "no, that slid on your shirt, may I get a new lid?" He awkwardly laughed not knowing the germs which could have been on that lid and placed a new lid on my cup instead. I tasted the drink which was very sweet and didn't quite have a coffee taste to it, mostly tasted like whole milk, sugar, and cinnamon. This is a new coffee place in the city of La Palma which replaced another coffee place, so hopefully this one will be better than the last one and have a better taste in my mouth...may come back to try the Ube Matcha. read more

I saw this spot, as my daughter attends piano lessons close by, and wanted to try it out while waiting. I thought it would be like any other coffee spot, but not only was the Spanish latte very good, but I bought a banana nut muffin that was also very good. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they both offer good coffee and food, which is always a plus. The staff was nice, and they were efficient.
