    Lamb gyro sandwich

A nice lil jewel located down the street from the neighborhood. Plus it's one late till 2am, so it's the ideal spot for late night cravings. Last time we ordered a lamb gyro platter, a lamb gyro sandwich and some tenders with French fries. While the quality may not be the absolute best, it's more about convenience and the ease of finding food when all else is closed. The gyro meat was good and we enjoyed the sandwich and the platter with rice. The tenders were also well seasoned and golden brown fried. I'm a regular here now.

Super excited to finally try this place out after my friends have been raving about it for months. The food definitely lives up to the hype and is much better than similar restaurants I've been to in the Rutgers area. Where else can I find delicious food for less than $10? Plus the portions sizes are huge (can definitely last you 2-3 meals). When we arrived, it was quite busy but we were able to order quickly. We had to wait a while but that's to be expected since we came at peak dinner time. I really liked the huge mirror on the wall (great for taking your BeReal or something lol) but keep in mind that if you want to eat here, there's only 2 or 3 tables that are pushed together so it's not a lot of room inside to eat. Overall though, I'm extremely satisfied by the food here and will definitely be coming back.

Stopped by recently and picked up some fried chicken. The chicken was good, juicy and flavorful. Also ordered fries and cole slaw. No complaints here. Service was quick, prices were decent. I would return.

Located 5 minutes from Livingston Campus, this is a great spot for a college student on a tight budget. For $8.99 you can get a plentiful platter of chicken, fish or lamb with a can of soda. I went with the fish and was not disappointed. It was flaky and fresh, and paired great with the white sauce. The platter comes with lots of rice and some salad on the side. I would've liked for there to be a bit more lettuce , but it was a reasonable amount. The man working the counter was friendly and the food came out quick. The inside is a bit dingy, though, and it's definitely set up to prioritize take out.

Good fried chicken (spicy and crispy skin), fair prices, and fast and friendly service.

The staff member seemed friendly and the restaurant is a take out only. They should increase the temperature on their hot plate to keep the food warm for the to go orders. French Fries: They were a bit cold and stuck together as if it has been sitting there for a while. It had no taste at all, no salt, and was a bit soggy. Grilled Chicken Sandwich: This needed a little more flavor to it and it tasted a bit over cooked or burnt in a way. Fish Sandwich: This had flavor to it but it just tastes a bit off to me. This sandwich is not what I am used to eating. Overall: This place would be a bit better if the food was hot when you pick up your food.

Yesterday I ordered 3 pieces of fried chicken, dark meat only: One thigh, one drumstick and 1 wing. I received two breast's and a wing. When I called the person who answered told me to come by today and I would be given my correct order. That did not happen! The salesperson refused even though I showed him a series of the same Uber order. I took the time to drive over there for nothing. He acted like I was trying to get a free meal! I'm very disappointed by the way I was treated, especially since it wasn't an Uber problem but a reading problem of the employee in the restaurant who took the Uber order without reading the "dark meat only " request. I don't believe that "the customer is always right", but in this case I should have been given what I paid for! Big picture...you lost a customer over three pieces of chicken. The employee ask me what I did with the chicken breasts. I gave it to my dog since he's not particular about what part of the chicken it is. The employee obviously didn't care how I felt. Too bad!

So.. for starters that cheese steak tasted way better than it looks.. HOWEVER, they were super STIFE wit the meat. Pause.. so I def ended up adding some fries to fill out the sandwich. The cheese fries weren't bad either but I def wouldn't preferred if they heated up a bit more, or rather The cheese more.. however it was also after midnight, so I'm sure I wasn't getting the freshest grill or best effort out of the chef for that matter.. so yea, would I get the cheese steak again? Only if I can ask for double meat or if I got an Italian cheese steak cuz again it wasn't nasty, BUT again, even before I opened the wrapper the first thing I said aloud to myself, "this shyt type light to be a cheese steak".. as in the weight was like that of a regular cheeseburger in da yellow wrapper from McDonald's, I think a double filet of fish from McDonald's would be heavier than that shyt.. I kno, weird point of references but extremely applicable and on point!

if you like halal and you're broke (lol), THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. only $7 for a large platter AND it comes with free drink!! (soda/iced tea) food is super filling and yummy :) they also have other foods here like chicken nuggets, wings, etc. comfort food :) highly recommend for a quick bite to eat! they do takeout only! either order in person and wait about 10 min or call ahead and pick up!

I must have passed this place a million times. It looked like a Chicken Shack. But wrong neighborhood. I just stopped in and wish I had earlier. It is like a typical chicken shack. For a freezing cold night they were busy. I ordered a few pieces of chicken. The chicken and lamb over rice and salad. and a bunch of wings. The rice/salad was fantastic. Just enough sauce. salty chicken and lamb. Fresh salad on side. The fried chicken was as good as any chicken shack. The wings were not great. But they could have ben sitting around. I wish I knew sooner. Because I will be moving soon. Worth a visit.

Our party was situated downstairs at a nice round table. This really helped us share the seafood tower and pass clams around. Our group ordered the small seafood tower, and it was everything I could have dreamed of. It had a little bit of everything. The presentation was flawless. I am still in awe of the lobster. Dinner was also very good. Just about everyone ordered something different, and we left pretty happy. The only issue was the music. I don't know if this is the case for the entire restaurant, but the downstairs had bouncy ukulele covers for the entirety of our time there. It was also a bit too loud. I felt like I had to get up to hear someone sitting a few people away from me, or speak too loud to for shared space because there's a bouncy ukulele covers of Without You by The Kid LAROI. (No, that's not an embellishment. That actually played.) All in all, we had a great time, great food, in a beautiful space. Natalie was a very attentive service. But please, maybe some different music?

The restaurant is very spacious and perfect for large groups and families. There's peanuts, fried broad beans, and sunflower seeds at the table for you to eat while waiting for the food. The buffalo fish does have many small bones which they warn about, but the flesh is very more meaty than most fishes and I don't mind the bones. The spicy garlic base comes with tons of garlic and is the perfect amount of spice. We added the mung bean noodles, lotus root and enoki mushrooms. The portion for the add-ons are very generous!

A basket of 4 biscuits was dropped off immediately, which we dug into as we decided on our meals. Our server came back a few minutes later and I decided on the Cajun Chicken Alfredo Linguine and my girlfriend went for the Wednesday special of steak and lobster for $24.99. The food arrived quickly and was overall decent. The Cajun left a lot to be desired as only the chicken was spiced and was more salty than spicy, so I put the black pepper to use. The steak was ordered medium rare, but came out closer to rare, which I tried to capture in the photo. After our meal, we split the Brownie Overload dessert, which was great! Lastly, the cutlery was a bit dirty, especially the knife. I'm sure we will be back (because who can resist those biscuits) but I will definitely consider a different meal next time as the Cajun just wasn't for me.

I recently tried the chef's 8-course tasting menu, and it was perfectly paced--the small plates are proportionately sized so you leave feeling satisfied rather than overwhelmed. Every dish is a standout with deep, "stacked" flavors; even the ingredients I was skeptical about ended up being favorites. Nothing needed a drop of extra seasoning. The service sets a warm, welcoming tone from the start. We were offered Oshibori (Japanese warm towelettes) to refresh our hands, and getting a fresh set of utensils with every course was a high-end touch I really appreciated. Menu Highlights: Taro Fritter: A sweet-textured appetizer inspired by Chinese desserts, topped with caviar and soy-pickled beets. It was a beautiful way to awaken the palate. Mackerel Crudo: As someone who isn't usually a fan of raw dishes, I was surprised by how much I loved this. It's light, perfectly acidic, and balanced with plum, ponzu, and apple. Grilled Sunchoke: This was "rustic elegance" in a bowl. The smell alone is incredible, and the combination of ginger crab and shellfish butter is pure comfort. Smoked Duck: Topped with black winter truffle and caramelized onions in a gochujang sauce--absolutely excellent cook and presentation. Braised Beef Cheek: So tender you can skip the knife and just use your fork. Since I forgot to BYOB, I tried their house-made Luck & Love hibiscus drink. It's hands-down the best hibiscus tea I've ever had--I actually tried to buy one to-go, but they only make enough for dine-in guests! I think he first wanted to bring us inside, but then my friend told him we were there for the music on the patio. We ordered food. My vegetarian husband and our vegan friend both went with plain quesadillas (just with the veggies) and non-alcoholic drinks. I went all-in and ordered a Kc's Classic Smash Burger with fries, and a side of onion rings (which my hubs and I ended up sharing). My friend and husband said the quesadillas were good. My hubs said it was better than he expected being a bar and all. The onion rings were really good - tasty batter and fried perfectly. My smash burger was fantastic - hit the spot. I saw that the Patio drink menu had Surfside and Suncruiser canned drinks. I asked our bartender what she thought. She was cool and gave me her take on them. I appreciated that she chatted with me and gave honest input. So I ordered them here for the first time, and they are pretty good!
