Great food as usual. Recommend! Nice food and service. We had lamp pot and vegetable. Will come back again!

32 Spicy Pepper Fried Chicken Wings 蜀味椒香鸡翅 the best!

Large food portion, decent price and authentic Chinese spicy food. Good location at the Sunnyvale downtown. We had sichuan mini hotpot, it's pretty good with lots of ingredients, but the pork slices were too big and hard to get into your mouth. We also had the beef wraps, it's pretty big portion with only $9+ (Jan promo), the scallion wraps were really crispy and flavorful. Spicy chicken wings were our best choice, it's all middle part, not the drumlet or wing tips. The cold appetizer is on promo 2 for $5.99, we have the spicy beef and spicy wood ear ( black fungus). Total bill of $50 and we ended up with lot of leftover food. It's really value for money.

Popped in for lunch date. Super quick service. Was in and out under 30 mins. Wonton in chili oil: 3/5 wontons were ok and the sauce was more like a vinegar chili oil soup. Spicy beef noodle soup: 2/5 noodles were soft. Best used for dry chow mein. Beef was tender. Soup base had a mild mala flavor. Yunnan noodle soup with pork and pickled veggies: 3/5 was expecting the pork to be small chopped pieces, not ground pork. Broth was clean and good. Noodles on the soft side. I like my round noodles to have more chew to it like Mifen.

I used to go to the original location when it was located in Foster City. Now there's more locations in the South Bay and I couldn't be more happy. I would say they're dry. Fried chicken wings are better than SF's San Tung. (Don't come for me). This is a great place to get some Chinese food. You get a good mix of American style Chinese along with authentic Chinese foods and at a great price. Definitely recommend.

I was surprised to see they had a similar interior and menu to Home Eat, and found out they are likely the same restaurant chain. We ordered a small hot pot, fried chicken wings, salt and pepper fried fish, and cumin lamb. The fried chicken wings were made with Garlic, Pepper, and Sweet Soy Sauce. The salt and pepper fried fish came with bell peppers and onions, and cumin lamb was served with onions and cilantro. Everything tasted pretty delicious and paired well with rice since the flavors leaned on the heavier side. The service was great and friendly, I would recommend thesalt and pepper fried fish and cumin Lamb.

Delicious salt and pepper fish! New renovated location. Great sauce bar!! Garlic, peanut and spicy sauces

Fashion wok has moved and now is home eats. They moved to the end of the street in downtown sunnyvale in a brand new interior. Same solid food.

I'm such a big fan of the mini hot pot options here! The restaurant itself is unassuming and has plenty of seating. It has a casual atmosphere, so it's great for a relaxed dinner. Service is fast and speedy. Fashion Wok has plenty of delicious dishes. I really enjoyed the beef wraps and beef noodle soup. I cannot recommend the hot pot selections enough. Every single one is phenomenal. My favorite is the sichuan wok, with a spicy mala broth and plenty of ingredients. If you're not a fan of spicy food, the classic fashion wok is also tasty. One hot pot includes fish balls and several types of meat slices. It's a very reasonable price for a solid amount of food. On a cold evening, Fashion Wok is the perfect choice for a cozy hot pot meal!

Great service, delicious entrees, fast delivery - VERY noisy, need to bring my bullion next time, cannot hear the waiter or order without yelling. Young crowd with good eyesight because the menu is in 3 pt Times Roman

There was plenty of seating on a Saturday night. You can order using the QR code on your table and there are a lot of different dishes to choose from. I ordered the Tidu prom tenderloin pot because it was the dish of the week, but was a little too salty and oily for me. The passion fruit juice was also on the sweeter side. I like how this place has quick service and cheap food. I wouldn't mind coming back again to try something else in the future.

Don't judge this book by its cover... So FRESH, top QUALITY, amazing FLAVOR!!! Service is great too. Large portions and well priced. This easily would have fed our whole family of 5. Did I mention the fresh vegetables cooked perfectly with just the right amount of spices?! I usually use Chinese hot sauce, but didn't at all as this was DELICIOUS!!!

Quick lunch. Awesome service and food. QR code menu for ordering. Got fried rice, hot sour soup, and lamb hot pot. Generous portion and reasonable price. I would come back again and again.

Is Home Eat the same as Fashion Wok? Did you guys change the name only?

It is, at least its the same one that we order on Ubereats.

What are your main oils Used in the food?Would love to see all the oils used in each dish listed on the menu! Is sugar added to most things? Can I ask no sugar?M, that's not true plenty of stores respond. It's not such a big deal to disclose

No restaurants can list their dishes in THAT kind of granularity, they can provide calories, fat content but to list the kind of oils for each dish cooked, that's nearly impossible!

Do you use any lard in your dishes? If so, are they in any of the veggie dishes? Also, have any dishes with just chicken breast as the main meat?…

LMFAO in response to Charlie Z's answer, that is 100% pseudoscience pushed by the meat industry. People's health markers always improve whenever they replace animal fat in their diet with seed oils. That's what the studies show.

Do they put msg in the food?

No we don’t put MSG . Ok

    Is fashion wok permanently closed?

A note (in Chinese) was left on the entrance door: An employee was tested COVID-19 positive on 12/12. Store closed for quarantine. will reopen as soon as possible.

    Is Pork Fried Rice served?

I'm believe they have several varieties of fried rice, including pork. Their food is exceptional.

Does anyone know when the full opening and full menu will be available?

But when I saw that this far-from-ubiquitous chain had opened an outlet right near my home, I figured I'd try it. And I was pretty satisfied. First off, they have a lunch special, which is smaller than their regular combo. Second, you get two out of a choice of half a dozen shellfish: I picked clams, which are really easy to get the meat out from the shell, and crawfish, which aren't so difficult to extract the tail meat (the only edible part worth the trouble) from either. Comes with potato and/or corn. Third is that the food comes with not only a bib and a towelette, but clear plastic gloves. I put these on and felt no difficulty in eating off them, and they did keep my hands clean. I like that. Although there are two levels of spiciness below "mild," I found the mild to be not too spicy, and the Cajun seasoning was delicious, worth scooping up in my gloved hands after I'd finished the seafood. Not too large a meal - maybe next time I'll have a full combo - but tasty. Attentive service - someone was watching to see when I was done, and came over right afterwards.

They're good, but not the best I've had. With my combo 1, I got head-on shrimp and clams with the atomic sauce and mild spice. I heard the atomic was a combination aka Whole She-bang etc. which is what I normally get from seafood boil places. It was ok, nothing too special, very chunky sauce with lots of garlic. The mild spice, however, was really more like a medium spice as it only took a couple of shrimp to really feel it. For my head-on shrimp, most of the shrimp heads were already like detached from the body which defeats the entire purpose of it. They were also on the small side which I know it's by the pound but it's noticeable. It was very underwhelming in terms of that. The clams were good, not much to say about those other than they were absolutely drenched in the chunky sauce. Overall, this place is ok. Nothing really stood out to me compared to other seafood boil places.

The staff were efficient, though not particularly warm. We ordered the seafood pancake and the barley rice set menu, which comes with fish and bean paste stew. The presentation was clean and colorful. While the basic side dishes were good, the barley rice with vegetables was very basic. The fish was just okay, and the bean paste stew was a bit disappointing, it lacked flavor. Note: Just my personal preference, I didn't love the shredded rice paper sprinkles on top of the pancake. While it was likely added for a crunchy texture, it unfortunately wasn't crispy. By the end of our meal, the place had gotten crowded, and I noticed many people ordering the marinated raw seafood. Maybe I should try the marinated raw crab on my next visit. Overall, it was an okay experience, the food and service were both just average.

You could stumble upon it through Yelp (as we did), discover it while staying at the adjacent Treehouse Hotel, or simply hear about it through word of mouth. The parking situation is an interesting one. After turning into the driveway from Mathilda Avenue, you have two options: turn right for valet parking or left into the Google parking lot. There are plenty of spaces available, though parking there is technically at your own risk. The restaurant told us they had not heard of anyone being ticketed or towed. We first dined here shortly after it opened in 2025 and were immediately impressed by the beautiful grounds. The hotel's eco-conscious gift shop, housed in a glass greenhouse and featuring a colorful vintage VW Bug, is a charming touch. The short walk to the restaurant feels especially relaxing on a warm, sunny day. This has become one of our favorite places to bring friends or host girls' lunches. With three distinct seating options: the dining room, bar, and patio, there's an atmosphere to suit just about any occasion, whether you're dining as a couple or gathering with a larger group. I would recommend visiting during lunch or dinner service and skipping the in-between hours. During that time, only the bar area is open and the menu is more limited. To fully experience what Valley Goat has to offer, lunch or dinner is the way to go. Despite the name, the only goat dish on the menu at the time of this review is the Goat Empanadas. My friend was initially hesitant to order them, but David, our wonderful server, and I encouraged her to give them a try. She was glad she did. There was no gamey flavor whatsoever; the meat tasted more like beef, and the accompanying sauce was excellent. Over several visits, we've enjoyed everything we've ordered and are delighted to have a restaurant of this caliber in our Bay Area backyard. Chef and co-owner Stephanie Izard, winner of Season 4 of Top Chef and an Iron Chef title, owns a total of nine restaurants, primarily in the Chicago area, along with locations in Los Angeles and one at Orlando International Airport. Since we enjoy traveling for great food, we'll definitely be adding some of her other restaurants to our list.

We ordered a few items to share and each were spectacular. The shrimp salad in particular contained perfectly cooked shrimp (although there weren't many) tossed in the right amount of sauce. The grilled asparagus were delightfully sweet and smokey. The smoked salmon dip paired with pickles were just the right amount of savory, spicy, and sour. Ambience: very greenhouse vibes. The interior had many live walls (walls filled with viney plants), and ceiling decor of plants as well. Along the restaurant was a long line of monsteras, scattered with fiddle leaf plants throughout. Love how "fresh" it made the restaurant feel. Given their different menus I different times, would definitely try to come back and try their dinner menu. Price: food arrives in small plates (for sharing). A bit on the expensive side for the small plates. However, the taste of each dish is exceptional.

Sure enough we met at the PC off Mathilda in Sunnyvale. This neighborhood sure has grown. Kal's BBQ was still there, my food service account about 20 years ago. I found the PC and parked in the multi level garage just behind the restaurant. Still an early dinner time at 5:15ish, I sat at the to wait and pursue the menu. Now I've eaten several times at the Mountain View location and enjoyed it very much. This spot, well seemed kind cold, empty and I was not approached in the 10 or so minutes I sat at the bar...menu's changed. Smaller or fewer offerings, ok keep focused on what you do well, cut some costs works for me. The kids showed up, still nobody So I grabbed three menus and sat us along the wall at a four top. The server came right over once we sat and we were good. Beverages were ordered and I had decided on the Seafood and chips with cole slaw and a dinner salad. A ordered two sushi roll plates. Aa ordered something but I don't remember. The food was out in good time, I was disappointed that my salad hadn't arrived before my entree....oh well. The salad had the house dressing, I typically ask for the dressing that is house made, I couldn't hear/understand what dressing she said. Anyway the salad was good, I liked the edamame beans as a topping garnish. The Seafood fish, calamari and coconut shrimp and spicy fries, good Looking further it appeared that the cooking time in the fryer was, well inconsistent. The Coconut shrimp cooked to almost burned which made the shrimp dry, spicy fries just a notch below burned but good. The two battered cod pieces, I'm not sure as the battered crust was not too sturdy and fell off the fish. Then the calamari seemed to be cooked just right, a bit on the lighter side. I still ate it all. I didn't eat the cole slaw, it looked as if it was from a few days ago, dry tasteless. As our table was cleared plate by plate I saw Aa hadn't touched his black beans. Now black beans are a favorite of mind, these were tasteless. Aa looked at me as I finished my bite of his beans and said "I didn't like them either". The vibe was not there as it is in MV, my own sense of things. If I didn't know the franchise I wouldn't return to this location, there's plenty of other places to get an excellent meal. See ya at the next place I drive to...thanks Foodguy-Martin.
