Delicious and staff takes care of you very well I would highly recommend this restaurant it is small and has a home style feel so it's not an elegant place but food and service is excellent

The food is sooo great! I went there for lunch/dinner multiple times and they have special dishes and new dishes every week the service is also very good. I highly recommend fish/shrimp/pork ribs - yummy yummy!

    Too salty

I was driving by and it smells good. I stopped to order lunch. The lady that took my order was super nice. But the chicken was overly salty. The chicken was all salt.

Food (4/5) Great food but it is on the saltier side for some dishes. For our hungry party of three, we ordered the Fish Fillets with Tofu ($15.95), Grilled Cauliflower with Smoked Pork ($13.95), Stir-Fried Rice with Smoked Pork, Spicy Chicken (forgot the exact name, but in pinyin it's "La Zi Ji"). Fish Fillets with Tofu (5/5) was soft, yummy, and seasoned well (not salty). The Grilled Cauliflower (4/5) was also delicious, though I wished that they adjusted the seasoning to account for the saltiness of the smoked pork. The Stir-Fried Rice (5/5) had great "wok hei". The Spicy Chicken (4/5) was good though I would try something else next time. Price (5/5) Entrees range from $15-20, reasonable given the portion size. Wait Time (5/5) Came for a weekday dinner around 530pm and it was empty. It filled up a bit afterwards. Service (4/5) Service was good, they were fairly attentive. We were seated a little aways from the server area but they were managed to provide everything we needed for the most part. Also appreciated that they didn't check-in on us too much during dinner. Ambiance (4/5) No concerns, clean and well-it. There's lots of tables and seats available. Parking/Access (5/5) Parking lot in front. There's plenty of parking available nearby. Just down the street from the shopping plaza with Daiso, Marukai Market, etc. I'd definitely be back if I was in the area. This restaurant is more on the 4-stars side for me overall because some dishes were quite salty.

Tasty food, reasonable pricing, and very attentive staff. And there's never a wait when I go. This place is truly a hidden gem.

Ok a few things to clear up right from the start... We went their website and clicked on Place Order Now. This takes you to the Beyond Menu site. We order and are told to pick up in 35 mins. When we picked it up, they have a hard time finding the order (eventually do), tell me not to order that way next time, and give me a card with a QR code to use next time. Umm, change your web site? The food was salty and seemed to have MSG. Other Yelpers claim you should put "special requests" like less salt, no msg, no peanuts, etc in the comments. Wish I'd seen that beforehand. Warning: I was thirsty for hours afterwards. On to the food... Deep fried chicken wings: spicy! And a gazillion peppers. Wings themselves were crunchy with a decent taste but too spicy for me. Mongolian Chicken: also spicy but not as bad. The chicken was kinda mushy -- maybe from the MSG. We found a small bone so at least we know it's real chicken. Kung Pao Chicken: you expect this to be spicy but it was actually less spicy than the Mongolian ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I like this dish the best. Napa Cabbage with Fried Tofu: messy and unremarkable. pass Pork fried rice: flakes rather than chunks of pork. Fried rice was good. We'll probably give this place another chance but it doesn't seem like our go to Chinese takeout.

I went to Grandma's Kitchen for lunch on a weekend afternoon. The restaurant wasn't very crowded, so we were seated right away, and the service was fairly quick. We ordered three dishes. The first was a steamed tofu and fish dish, but it was rather bland and lacked the fresh flavor you'd expect from fish; we left about half of it uneaten. The second dish was a smashed eggplant with chili, which was quite oily. Guests are supposed to crush the ingredients in a clay pot themselves, but the pot was small and hard to work with. Finally, for dessert, we had glutinous rice balls in rice wine, which was actually very good--sweet but not overly so, and generously portioned.

I have been on the look out for a GOOD Chinese-styled steamed fish and this place had a lot of good reviews. Upon arrival, there was a big crowd of people waiting to be seated. Seems to be really popular on the weekends. I scanned a QR code inside and ordered on 39miles. Definitely order ahead because they estimated 30 minutes for pickup orders. I ordered the Steamed Fish Fillets with Tofu. It comes in a huge aluminum tray and it seems to be steamed in a light soy sauce. The dish is overall very simple and easy to eat. I think it was cooked perfectly, but the sauce could have been elevated. It was a little plain. Overall great value and authentic food.

Definitely 5 stars. This is a hidden gem of authentic Hunan food in South Bay. Highly recommend the special fried tofu (臭豆腐)。味道很接近长沙火宫殿的。看相稍微差一点。 Generous portion for all dishes. Spicy lamb ribs is also super good.

    Fried Rice, Twice cooked pork

This place is definitely less well known and slightly more difficult to find but it absolutely delivers. The overall interior is cute and peaceful and the service is good. I personally love twice-cooked pork, especially when it is served in a pot where the flame continues to run. The flavor of the pork fat that gets rendered in the pot permeates into the cauliflower and makes the entire dish taste excellent. This restaurant captures the essence of the dish. Their fried rice is also a cut above the rest. I'm not sure how they do it, but it certainly has more flavor than restaurants elsewhere. All meats that we ordered (I don't remember what they were called) were very good as well. I'd say this is a very accurate representation of Hunan food. It is authentic and delicious. Come here and see for yourself!

Got griddled intestine, water boiled spicy fish, yuxiang pork. Staff also said they made fresh soy milk and it's BOGO and so you can drink on-site (they refilled for me when we left). Super friendly staff, food was a bit of a wait, sitting area had a few flies (restaurant also had zappers). Small parking area, food hit the spot. Friend was also in the wechat group where if you mentioned the promotion, there was 10% off. Can't wait to try more dishes next time!

You place your order through a QR code, which makes the process quick and easy. This visit, we ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings, Tidu Sliced Beef Pot, and Tianjin Eggplant. The wings are a must-order here. They're always perfectly fried and crispy on the outside while still staying juicy and tender inside. The Tidu Sliced Beef Pot reminded me of a dry hot pot. It had a great mala flavor with a subtle numbing sensation, and the peanuts added a nice crunch and texture to the dish. The Tianjin Eggplant was simple but delicious, with flavorful pork that paired really well with the soft eggplant. Overall, the food here is comforting and satisfying. I really loved the Mongolian beef, and the eggplant dish we got was good too. The chow mein was good. I did like the cucumber salad, but it would be better if it were sliced smaller, so the marinade could infuse the cucumbers. Service was friendly. Food was very fresh. I did notice the portion sizes were generous and we had plenty of leftovers!

When I went with my mom there was no customers. The server seated us at the bench closest to the wall (the table was pushed into the bench against the wall so we had to move it.) Apparently a lot of the legs on some of the tables and benches are wobbly so they put things under to balance it. The servers told us to move it back under the table since we pushed the table out to sit into the bench. My mom is older and she has a hard time walking, she asked to switch to another table where the benches and tables were already spaced out properly because it is hard for her to bend down and move the things under the table legs. The server gave my mom an attitude and asked why two people couldn't fit into our current table.
