Onion rings 10/10 with good ranch. Nice guy working younger dude. Cute family owned restaurant. My boyfriend and I split our meals. I loved the bacon cheeseburger upgraded to waygu 10/10 He preferred the Philly which I also liked I'd say 8.5/10 with grilled jalapeños on the side m. Loved the vibe.

I've lived in Goleta for many years and finally tried this place out! My partner and I were craving comfort food, and that is what their menu is filled with! We ordered onion rings, fried green beans, the sampler platter, the Connie sandwich, and the pastrami reuben. The onion rings and fried green beans were super crispy and went great with the sandwiches. The sample platter was really satisfying. I enjoyed the wings, while my partner enjoyed the sliders. I thought the reuben was a little on the dry side, but it was still pretty satisfying. The interior has a cozy mom and pop-owned vibe to it. Our server was very nice attentive. Great spot for all ages!

Thought we would try this place on our way back home after flying into the Santa Barbara airport. Their reviews were good and the food did not disappoint. It's in a tiny strip mall off of the 101 but had a very nice outdoor dining area which we took advantage of. I ordered their Trainwreck Breakfast burrito with decaf coffee while my husband opted for the Grand Slam breakfast. The breakfast burrito was excellent! It was also huge and I ended up taking some of it home. The coffee is your standard fare brewed coffee. My husband's grand slam, with scrambled eggs, was also excellent. The bacon & sausage were prepared perfectly and the pancakes were delicious. Even though we were outdoors, it was a very quiet spot. They do have indoor dining, if that's what you prefer. Our waitress, Jasmine, was very pleasant and efficient. We would definitely stop by this place again.

'm usually the type of person who always finds something to critique when I go out, whether it's the food, service, or parking. Drives my friends and husband nuts! But honestly, I can't complain about a single thing here. The food was absolutely excellent, delicious, plentiful, and reasonably priced. The service was warm and friendly, the waitresses were professional, yet ready to engage in a happy conversation when prompted. there was even a good amount of parking, which is always a bonus. This place truly exceeded my expectations in every way. I'll definitely be back! My son even texted his girlfriend and her family to recommend it to them.

Service is great - fast, friendly, and when there was construction outside, they graciously let us move indoors. Came here with the boys looking for a new brekkie spot. I think we found it? I had the Cali Real Wrap with chorizo, and friends had the Chicken Tater scramble, Carnivore omelette, and the 805 omelette. Overall, the consensus was best described by friend John: "If I was , this would be immaculate. But I'm not, so it's just good." I'd come back to try the pancakes and stuff. This was essentially good hangover food.

Sweet & Spicy Wings - These are my favorite flavor for sure and are delicious but definitely a bit overpriced unfortunately.

I no longer live in SB so rarely go but even years later this local spot is still one of my favorites in town! The owner is great, the food is very tasty and the menu is massive with full breakfast options now too. Everything still tastes the same which is hard to say during these crazy times.. I will admit a few certain things are maybe overpriced slightly or the portions are a bit small, but in general most of the menu is fairly priced and I'll still support any local restaurants I can.

Friendly service, huge menu for everyone to chose from, and incredibly fresh ingredients. The hamburgers are fantastic! The location is hidden behind a gas station but don't be fooled, there is plenty of space to sit inside or outside of restaurant.

I ordered through doordash and their website says their burgers include everything and doesn't give you the option of adding them. So i get the burger and there's nothing on it at all, call the restaurant a girl picks up and tells me next time I need to call and make sure they got the order right and they are sorry and wasn't going to offer anything. I ask her is there anything you can do she says hold up a few minutes later someone picks up then hangs up. I call back a guy picks up its the manager Ken, he says they don't really know how to use the doordash system and says he will figure out a way to refund me because he doesn't know how... i ask how I'll know i get refunded he laughs and says look at your card like dude you don't know anything get it together its not that hard to be a manager. read more

This is not a fancy restaurant (good thing) so I can't give it 5 stars. Home Plate is a great place to eat if you want some casual dining with great American food. Prices are reasonable and the staff is super friendly and efficient. I recommend this place and come here myself at least twice a month. I usually have a burger but have also had the pizza and hot dog. All are delicious. I've decided to try something different next time. I'm sure it will be great. read more

Love Home Plate! The food is always good and they are happy to amend anything that they can to please the customers! Philly Tri-Tip is my favorite, but I force myself to not ALWAYS order it and try new things so that I can let people know that the food is all great! Cheese Burgers, Meatball Sub, Corndog Bites, Salads, Garlic FRIES!!! ALL YUMMY!!!!!!! I appreciate the clean atmosphere and great service! read more

Yum! We love the chicken Parm sandwich, Philly Tri Tip and yes the pizzas are delish too. A great addition to the neighborhood, it will keep you from having to go deal with traffic on the other side of the freeway. A clean place with friendly staff and a great American Grille type menu. This little hole in the wall place was fantastic. Our service was fabulous. The entire kitchen was so friendly! The menu is so vast that it's tough to decide what to order. Pretty much anything you could ever be hungry for is on this menu... and you can make changes to it to suit your tastes. I ordered a grilled turkey avocado sandwich on sourdough with provolone cheese and it did not disappoint. I added garlic fries and they were amazing. Just enough garlic zing but not overkill and the fries were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Perfect! My friend ordered the tritip sandwich and said it was delicious. I may have to get that next time... but it'll be so hard to choose! (We had 5 kids with us for a Girl Scout camping weekend and between them there was grilled cheese, corn dog bites and mini sliders. They all looked good, but the sliders looked so awesome I'd order them myself!) read more

A few people in the office were talking about the owner of Roundin' Third opening up a joint next to his bar. Ordered the "home plate" pizza. Gaaaaaaaaaaawdamn!!! I've never had tri-tip on pizza before. I may be 100lbs but I do like my meaty pizzas. Great hometown feel just like his bar. I would highly recommend it. A true local jewel. Not pretentious and homegrown. Gotta love The Goodland. read more

Traveling for work, needed a bite to eat. This place came up on yelp. It's in a small business complex almost hidden. Ordered the garlic fries and bacon cheeseburger....was not disappointed! Prices are great and the food was hot and tasty!!!! I definitely recommend this place and they have a great selection from sandwiches to burgers, pizza and so much more!!! read more

This hidden gem is our new favorite spot! The tri tip dip was so tender and the bread roll it came on was perfectly toasted. The ah just sauce had a lot of flavor! The sweet potato fries are amazing!! Can't wait to try more stuff. The staff was very helpful and friendly for our first time. I only did 4 stars because my husband got the tea and it was spoiled but we went late... easy fix! read more

Checked this place out based on reviews and was NOT disappointed! I had the brisket cheeseburger, and garlic fries, both were amazing and delish!! My husband had the tri-tip sandwich, potato skins and chicken tenders. I don't like the toughness of tri-tip, but when I tried my husband's sandwich, the meat was so tender and tasty! We will have to try the Philly tri-tip sub!! We will definitely be back to try more, we've got to try their pizzas too! Prices are great, food is excellent. A little out of the way, but worth the trip, you will not be disappointed!! And yes, everyone who works there is genuinely friendly and gracious!! read more

If I could eat here every day I would. Unfortunately my new diet plan only allows it 1-2 times a month but good lord their food is amazing. I usually order the sliders and the philly cheese steak. Can't go wrong with either. Never tried their pizza but that looks good too. read more

While in the area from out of state visiting family, I decided to place a to-go lunch order for all of us from Home Plate. We got the following items: Guacamole Chicken sandwich; Turkey sandwich; Meatball Sub; Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers (these were crazy good!); and, a Tri-Tip sandwich. Everything was excellent! Their turn-around time on the order was very good, too, despite it being lunch time. These guys are kick-butt in every way, and they are on the top of my list for the next visit. read more

Totally love this affordable place to the bone and you should try it too! I had a delicious and hearty cup of roasted tomato soup (homemade it appeared) and a perfect short stack of chocolate chip pancakes for only $7 for a quick meal in a cozy environment with espn, lovely service and real people, water with cucumber and lime, spic and span tables etc. Very relaxing. The pizza looks good too. Could host a birthday party, or post sports team event, or catching a game perfectly. They also have beer! Thank you to whoever owns this place! read more

What a great place! Very homey! We were starving after a long day and boy, did we have the best meal in a long time!!! Turkey club melt was so good, crunchy on the outside and so gooey on the inside! Darby, the guy at the counter recommended it as his favorite and I completely agree!!! My wife and son had their mango habanero cheeseburger and it was bursting with flavor and spice! We also ordered butternut squash soup and chile Verde taco (pork) and bacon-wrapped jalapeño peppers. Needless to say - we left very satisfied! Would highly recommend this place! read more

BEST PANCAKES! No Krusteaz mix! Really, I'm always hunting for the best pancakes. These were incredible. Not dry, a hint of maybe cinnamon, almost taste like horchata. Seriously so very good. We came in with a youth soccer team group of over 30 people and they were quick to accommodate us and get our food out. It's a smaller space but they made it work. More importantly, again, BEST PANCAKES. French toast was great too. Thank you so much! read more

I love homeplate! We live maybe 5 min away so we call in burgers all the time. They always get our order right and their food is just tasty. It's nice to have a better burger alternative to mcdonalds and jack in the box. Seems like they care for their customers and put effort into their food. How can you go to Brophy's and not eat chowder? I also ordered a Baja fish taco and a shrimp taco. I love fish tacos. This one was super moist and crispy on the outside...perfect seasoning and the pickled onions were spot on!! The shrimp taco was a nice surprise. They are grilled (no guilt over extra calories) and good flavor. There is a good combination of savory with a little sweet from the mango salsa. The mangoes were not as ripe as I like, but the salsa had good flavor nonetheless. I especially appreciate that the young guys checked on me and asked about the food and if I needed anything. On top of that, the ingredients were distributed completely unevenly between the two halves. I literally had to take both halves apart and redistribute everything myself just to make it edible. Nothing about this felt fresh. I also swapped the "house-made chips" for tater tots -- which turned out to be the exact Ore-Ida frozen tots you buy at the grocery store, and even worse... they were undercooked and mushy. I am willing to bet I just paid $16 for about $2.50 worth of ingredients. For $16, this was not just underwhelming -- it was bad, REAL BAD. Do NOT order this sandwich.

The inside of the restaurant feels cold. Just a bunch of tables that you find and seat yourself to while you're waiting for your food to be made.

Just had dinner here for the first time and I have to say it is very good. I had the Mushroom Swiss burger with bacon and grilled onions. Honestly, one of the best burgers I have EVER had!!!! The burger was juicy and cooked perfectly. The cheese was melted over all the topping and the bun was soft and very fresh!! Ordered the Garlic fries with it and they were very good as well. I can't say enough to describe the amazing taste of the burger. My 8 year old daughter who does not like mushrooms or onions ended up eating half of my burger and wanted more. My daughter and mom ordered the tri-tip sandwich which was amazing as well. The tri-tip was VERY tender and full of flavor!! We also ordered the clam chowder and in fear of sounding redundant, it was very good as well. My daughter is a self proclaimed chowder expert and she said she could just drink it!! Had Mozzarella sticks and the sweet potato fries which were very good. I'm looking forward to trying more food from here in the very near future!! So in ending, TRY THIS PLACE!!! don't judge a book by its cover! That is really true in this case most definitely. I've lived here my entire adult life left a few years back the entire time living right here in the neighborhood & always saying we needed a good place to have breakfast over here in "this side"! The food is really dang good! - Clean kitchen, engaged staff and you can see the "Love" in food menu come to life very quickly I might add and hot from scratch! Great vegetarian options and plenty for the meat eaters too! before omelettes home fries my friend had the same thing with hashbrowns and the avocados spicy pico de gallo was excellent.? You don't have to ask for extra spicy sauce to put on top because it's so darn good with perfect heat. And I don't know what they had they did to the blueberries on these pancakes but they were amazing!!!! I'm looking forward to going back and trying their waffles and eggs!
