We have been using Home Shield Pest control for almost a year. Our initial issue was dealing with ticks which they hadn't seen too much of in San Diego. We had them bad, even counting multiple ones in the house despite my dogs being on flea and tick control meds. They treated the outside and inside of the house each time and it took a while but now we are tick free! When we would see extra bugs they would come out with no extra charge. Austin has been our guy for a while now and he's super personable and takes the extra time to make sure all the spots are taken care of. I have been so please that I hired them to take care of my other property in Santee which had major cockroaches. That too has been resolved. I've been using these guys a few years. Originally started service to keep huge spiders out of the garage. So far so gad, haven't seen any spiders of significant size since I started using them - just a few tiny guys a few times a year, and they die on their own. I suppose they came into the garage and were exposed to the spray Homeshield uses (I have them use a natural non-toxic spray at my house). Julio serviced my home today and this was his first time here. He was great and showed a proactive desire to "get to know the key areas of my house". He was also very thorough and knowledgeable, and what I also loved is that he showed care for my walls and property, which some of their previous guys could have been better at. John O. performed a very professional and thorough termite inspection of my home, garage, and property. As he inspected all the fascia boards, under the eves, and support framework for the patio and porch covers he pointed out the termite tunnels, holes, and damage, and damage from dry rot. He inspected the attic and the interior wall of a cabinet where I had a termite problem decades ago. His inspection was more comprehensive and in-depth than any inspection my property has ever had. Hurvey did a phenomenal job!!! He was on time, friendly and performed exceptional work. I've used other pest control companies before whose technicians did not do anywhere near as good a job as Hurvey from Home Shield. Hurvey goes above and beyond: he cleaned / removed every cobweb & spiderweb from my home both inside and out. He even went so far as to clean my trash cans!!! I have had Home Shield pest control service for almost 2 years. They never fail to amaze me in the fantastic customer service that they provide. I have a problem with rats in my garage. They caught the rat and also continue to monitor the situation for me. They do a quarterly Bug service for my outside and inside if needed. I rarely see a spider at my property. Hurvey was my technician and I would like to give him a five star review for his quality and professionalism, and "service with a smile attitude "that he provided at my home today and over the last year. Most recently, I had a problem with a gopher in my front lawn. Dave arrived the same afternoon the day I called for help, Monday, with the problem. He put in 2 traps and by Tuesday morning we had caught the gopher! He was here today, Wednesday afternoon to remove it.
