I am from NorCal and would move to Oceanside just to have these tacos regularly. The tortillas are homemade and delicious. The tacos were incredible, and the iced coffee was perfect. The inside is adorable and the service was 10/10. Can't wait to visit again and have more tacos. read more

We love trying new local hotspots and so we couldn't wait to give this place a try! Unfortunately, we were somewhat underwhelmed with our experience. The tacos were fine and the meat had good flavor. But nothing super exceptional. They wrap the tacos in foil which means they sit in the grease for a while and end up kind of soggy on the bottom. The queso was good, chips seemed like they could've been from Costco? Husband ordered a basic margarita that was about $15 which was insane! Service was fine, employees were nice and attentive. This isn't the fault of the establishment but the night we went we were sitting on the patio and there was a group of about 8 kids under the age of 10 just running in and out of the patio and screaming and it's not that large of a space. Plus, the exit gate is on a hinge, and so every time it would open, it would slam a shut. Unfortunately the moms felt like this was totally fine and apparently didn't see all of the patrons, rolling their eyes...hoping they would eventually intervene, and at least have them calm down or play somewhere else, besides where everyone was eating. The bill was over $55 for two of us yikes! Not worth it since I would say this is just a glorified taco shop. I would rather save my money and get the best margarita in town down the street at Anita's. read more

Beware - trendy tourist trap!! This placed is overpriced and underwhelming. $42 for 2 tacos - brisket and vegetarian Chicano Batman (clever collab I admit) - also got a "loaded" queso and 2 beers. First off, only 2 options for beer?? In this town? Serious miss! Then I get my Modelo tall can ($8) and it's warm room temp!! I felt it immediately and asked if I could have a cold beer, she said she just put them in the fridge and that's all they had and offered me ice (yes, ice for my beer ). I said no, so decided to get this vodka slushie thing which was nothing special and wanted a cold beer. The tacos were ok at best, not worth $5 each to be sure. The "brisket" was not at all what was expected, I expected REAL TEXAS (they bill themselves as from TX) sliced brisket, instead I got a cooked brisket that likely was cooked in a crock pot or something. It was edible. The queso was also a disappointment, virtually no brisket in the queso, the chips were crumbled. Basically everything was meh for tourist prices. Not going back. read more

We did take out from there and I really wanted to like it and I was so bummed when we got home. I got the brisket taco and 75% of the meat was just inedible fat chunks and it was a pretty dry taco with what was left. The breakfast taco we ordered was overcooked and also dry. I would not consider this Mexican food. The flavor is very bland and they don't use salt. It was weird ordering a brisket taco with cabbage and not cilantro or onions. Nothing was spicy. Their salsas were bland. The queso reminded me of a Taco Bell dollar menu burrito. The beans had the slightest hint of chipotle. It's like they're scared of bold flavors. The tortillas are good but if they come from a machine I wouldn't consider them fresh but that's just me. Save your money. Tacos are always so good, to be fair I've only had the breakfast ones. The service is always friendly, and I absolutely love the order online and pickup feature they have. I visited this location on my way home to LA from San Diego and I must say that this place hits the spot. The tacos there are delicious but my go-to would be the trinity taco on flour. I like the fact that their flour tortillas are freshly made. Their coffee definitely gave me enough caffeine for the drive home. This location definitely has a chill vibe as it's near the coast. Service was good and the staff there is friendly. Definitely would revisit this location whenever I'm in the area. read more

Great new place with great service, great food made of healthy ingredients and reasonable prices. We've gotten food from there few times it's our new favorite place while vacationing in Oceanside. Today we ordered chicken tacos for lunch and it was the first time we were a little disappointed. Last time we got it for dinner it was made with chunks of mostly white meat it was hot and delicious. For lunch today it was all shredded dark meat topped with a lot of sauce which made it soggy and cold. As a new business I would recommend to keep the quality and stay consistent. read more
