I have to agree with the all of the poor reviews. The customer service at HomeTeam is awful. I had a great technician (Dorian), but the business office was constantly trying to schedule my service that was supposed to be guaranteed for eight weeks every six weeks just so they could make extra money throughout the year. I am so tired of having to call in and talk to a manager just to get the service that I was promised. The only reason I continued to go with them (for six years) is because they were the only company that serviced the in wall tubes. It's just not worth it anymore. They are not worth the money and they need to work on improving customer service in the business office. I highly recommend using someone else. JESSIE has been doing this business for many years and brings his knowledge to HomeTeam. JESSIE is personable and takes the job seriously and is honest. Yesterday, a hose malfunctioned and he told me that he would need to come back and finish. He certainly could have kept quiet and I would not have known. We came to Arizona and got to know HomeTeam but did not immediately use them. Starting in March I believe we contacted them for services for pest control. We noticed spiders and ants. Fixed in first visit really. The fact that there is no contract and the results in the first two months we are very happy with their services. Pricing is middle of the road but the goals are all met and amount we are spending is worth the service and results. We always get a professional reminder and thorough report after every visit. Service techs go the extra mile on requests and advice, like the techs take time to care for their work and our personal needs. We will be renewing services when our years up. I called Home Team Pest Defense today for the last time! After years of poor results they have crossed the line. I was paying $50.00 per quarter and $150 for the pre emergent treatment or a total of $350 per year. This year the minimum annual cost would have been $600 (almost a 60% increase)! For that amount I would continue to receive a pre emergent treatment that offered results more like fertilizer than herbicide! A parade of new and or inexperienced technicians that have no idea where they are supposed spray, if they even bother to show up. A company that believes a 60% increase is a minor increase and that the customer should just absorb it with a grin. I for one, am done with companies that believe that consumers should just shut up and pay what ever inflated rate charged for piss poor service and performance! The only reason the company got one star is there is no way to give them no stars or minus stars on Yelp for the weed service I was getting at my office bldg. read more

Well I have used them for years and been pleased. But trying to cut budget. I started looking into other options and found out new homes pay $31 less every other month then I do. Called them and they said they would cut my charge by $5. Needless to say I canceled them. Guess being faithful customer Doesn't mean anything in todays world. We used home team for a year and every visit I had to call them to come out or remind them to schedule my visit. Eventually for the past 4months they've canceled each visit and postponed. It's not my job to call them to come out and do a job we agreed to have have service and pay for!! If that was the case I'd apply for a scheduler. I canceled my service today and can move on the better company's that can actually keep appointments. read more

So let's start with this. If you agree to do a service at a price, do not call me the next day saying we're not going to do it unless you agree to a much more expensive service option. That is both dishonest and shady business. You agreed to do the service at a stated price. You even confirmed it with your service manager. Remember back when people would honor their word? I asked if they needed to wait until their tech was going to be in the neighborhood for other service calls, and they said no, they just wouldn't come out unless I agreed to one of their much more expensive ($140 vs $50) service options. I initially contacted Home Team Pest as the builder had the TAEXX system installed in my abode. Sales team promptly contacted me and I signed a year contract for service bi-monthly. A technician came out soon thereafter and did a great job for the initial. The next month we had a bug infestation and I asked for a spot treatment between my two months. They sent a tech and sprayed my front porch...now the bad. When I arranged for the spot treatment they told me the technician would follow up in June (June was supposed to be my regular service) however, I was never contacted. I emailed Home Pest twice asking why I was not serviced in June as we had a large amount of ants inside and outside my home. I have not rec'd a response as of this writing....time for another pest company. They are great when they showed up..... read more

I scheduled my service about 2 weeks ago because their availability was limited. So on 4/26 someone was scheduled to come out and release the systems in the walls and spray the outside of the house. I received a bill for 86$. However, after reviewing my cameras i saw nobody from home team had come to spray. I called to speak with a manager and I believe I spoke to the tech who allegedly came to spray. Apparently according to gps, he was on my street that day! Like that mattered when he billed me for work he didn't do! On top of everything, he scheduled to come back out in 7 days! I would think that if they billed a customer and got caught not even actually doing the work they would make adjustments to come back out immediately! Very disappointed. The more I thought about it I wondered how many times that had been done before to myself and to others... not sure if it's is just this particular tech or not but I will never use their service again! read more

We have used Home Team for 8 years. I am done with them. over the last 6 months or so we have had to call because our service has been missed. Last service the person did not have what he needed to spray into the tubes that go through the house. he said he'd have to come back. Never called never came back. I had to call again because no one called or scheduled our service for September. He was scheduled to come out last Monday. He called that morning saying he was sick and would have to reschedule. Never heard back. We texted Friday no response. I just called and they apologized and said he was scheduled to be in our neighborhood Saturday and asked if that would work. I said if that's the soonest. I was then told oh I'm sorry his scheduled is booked that day. I told them I'm done I'll find a company that can actually meet their commitments. I will not continue to throw my money at a company that obviously couldn't give two hoots about their customers. My sister has been experiencing the exact same issues. AJ contacts me to schedule/follow-up on appointments, and he is always polite, on time, and very professional. AJ is a great representative for their company and outstanding customer service. You can find a less expensive pest control who actually respond to your emails. I currently pay $80 every two months and I emailed (asking 2 times) if they can adjust service to every 3 months. No reply. I have many different pest controls who offer same service for $75 every 3 months. I know I will be changing soon. read more

We used Western out there and could've transferred over-but Home Team has been great and have taken care of everything from scorpions and red ants to normal pest control. Always recommend them.
