Once again Hometown has made my life easier and delicious, and without breaking my budget. This month alone, they not only made me the best iced Chai lattes, consistently perfect over and over again but they catered my twins' graduation party, AND they made my twins birthday cupcakes (every year- this year is year 18!). Hometown has always been there for me, even when I am hangery and have an off day, they make me feel welcomed and just for those few precious moments while I'm there, I'm a part of their big loving family because that is how they treat me. thank you Hometown.

Focaccia bread generally contains more air bubbles, no spread and all soft doughy bread with some well refrigerated chicken.

Bummed to write this because this shop used to blow my mind. The menu honestly reads for homey but upscale food, but good lord the prices are CRAZY now(not the biggest concern). Usually, I collect the hot pastrami and have them toast/press the sandwich but decided to try their chicken focaccia because it was on their "Grilled Sandwich" selection. I asked to have the chicken microwaved and assumed the bread would have been toasted. Unfortunately, the meat was cold, and the bread did not have lick of a crunch, and I couldn't even taste the aioli or whatever was supposed to be spread on the bread?... I had to drive back to the shop to get mustard because the sandwich was SO DOUGHY. Almost seemed like the bread may not have been cooked fully?.. the staff was helpful and the cookie was great but for an 18$ sandwich and no drink, please consider warning customers that the sandwiches are not going to be toasted/grilled especially if they order from the "Grilled" section.. Very misleading and being given a cold sandwiches after ordering a "grilled"? I would have been better off paying less at subway.

Amazing service, great small town atmosphere, food is delicious and so are all of the treats! My favorite is the chocolate chip pecan cookies!

Sandwiches were good and very big, but not the best. Pastries are top notch. Service was very friendly. Overall experience just okay.

Great local bakery/sandwich shop. They bake their own breads and cookies. A nice locally owned spot for lunch or take away.

The staff is always friendly and welcoming with the service to match. They serve classic American fare for breakfast and lunch. The portions can be large so be prepared to loosen that belt or take leftovers home. Our recent outing I tried their hamburger steak breakfast. A decent sized patty that I requested be topped with both grilled onions and mushrooms was good. Although the patty itself needed a bit more seasoning, it didn't disappoint. The country potatoes were fluffy on the inside with good texture on the outside, accompanied by onions and bell peppers. Eggs were cooked perfectly to order. If the servers offer salsa, TAKE IT! Very flavorful, fresh and vibrant. Compliments everything I've tried so far. And no, it's not spicy. This place is a gem and my kids love the train decor. If your kids are good, they might turn on the model trains. You won't be disappointed.

With the reviews on Yelp and the recommendation of our Air bnb host, this was a "must" during our visit. Nice decor and ambiance upon entering. Had a musician playing clarinet, which was beautiful. Unfortunately, we did not even eat here. As I stated, we had been at an outdoor convention- we were in nice jeans and ballcaps. This restaurant was not "suit" fancy, but we may have appeared underdressed with our ballcaps. Honestly we don't make a habit of dressing down and are usually overdressed lol. We felt judged the moment we walked in. They asked if we had a reservation. We did not but we were still sat. There was a wine tasting going on and we were asked if we would like to participate. We politely declined. The vineyard owner came over and talked to us. I politely declined again. The waitress never returned for over 10min. We hadn't even been asked about any other drinks, appetizers, specials of the house, nothing. The menu had some amazing dishes and appetizers that I am sad I wasn't able to try, but if you're going to make me feel less because I didn't have an opportunity to brush out my ponytail and change my shoes, then you're not deserving of the money we were planning on spending in your establishment. These Texas ranchers were very unimpressed

As the years went on I was a little wary of giving them that recommendation since it's been so long since I've been there...but good to know it's still just as amazing 8 years later. They have updated the interiors and there is plenty of seating both inside and outside the sandwich shop. We opted to sit outside so that we could see the river (even though it was 90+ degrees...but in the shade it was a cool 85 degrees) Gourmet Green 5/5 turkey, creamy almond cilantro jalapeno spread (not spicy to me) kind of reminded me of the green goddess sauce, red onion, roasted red pepper, havarti and spinach. Everything just worked beautifully and it basically felt like eating a salad. Blue Cheese Potato Salad 4/5 I wanted this to be more blue cheesy, but it was still pretty tasty. Though when my bf tasted this, he said it was really blue cheesey so maybe I just want it to be way more intense tasting. So glad that this place is still here and that they still are super delicious :)
