Because I live in the San Francisco Bay area, I flew down a day before our scheduled appointment because I wanted to ensure that the job was successful. An hour before the appointment, I received a text from Ryan explaining that he needed to reschedule for Monday. Because of my work, I had to leave before Monday. According to my mom, Ryan showed up on Monday, but not during the time specified which worried me because of the previous cancellation. Due to some scheduling conflicts (work emergencies and the Christmas holiday), I went with Honest Electric and was very pleased with my experience. Ryan was in and out in less than 2 hours and did a beautiful job. I also asked him to take a quick look at my Google nest to see whether and how I should install a common c wire, and he was helpful--I'd probably reach out to Honest Electric for that too. One thing--I'm a shoeless household and I provided booties to Ryan but in one of Ryan's trips to and from his car, he completely forgot and wore his shoes into my condo and into the carpeted bedroom, where he left a black stain. I was particularly unhappy given that it was raining outside so his shoes were wet and my carpet is quick to show dark stains (it's a light cream color). The guys sent were great and professional but in my later response to the owner Ryan he first scheduled a day for the fan install but at the last minute cancelled as they had an emergency. They lied about fixing their own installations if u pay for their overpriced installation. Claiming if u pay, they would come if there was ever any problems. No, they come once to get your money & leave forever. Make up excuses and never come. As u can see in this picture the lights aren't properly installed & the fans are sitting outside of the ceiling, not even inside the ceiling & it is crooked & the lights are only lighting up from one side. Half ass job for a way overpriced installation. I do not recommend. They LIE about coming to fix it if there was ever a problem. I spent $3,000 for simple light installation. Paid for my own lights not even them providing lights or anything. This was much very OVERPRICED installation. Installation alone can be done by someone else for $1,000 or less. They can't even bother to come and see what they did wrong. They are lazy and want people's money with false promises. Bad service & they lie to you about coming back to see what is wrong. When this is resolved I will take down this review. As long as this review is still up, I suggest you work with someone else who keeps their word & actually help you. This small business is shady for making false promises and overcharging you for lights installation. Unfortunately sometimes that comes at a price and everyone seemed to have a minimum of like $250 or whatever for any service call or job. I'm not a electrician but I knew enough that my job was only a 15 min circuit breaker replacement. But I'm not going to risk fixing it myself to save my landlord some money. In any case, of all the electricians that quoted me on Yelp, Ryan at Honest Electric was the only one that read what I wrote and asked for pictures and communicated real promptly. Sometimes contractors don't seem to read what you quote or just waive a "nominal service visit fee" but then quote super high or their minimum, it certainly appreciated to find someone willing to take the time to really communicate with you.
