Interesting fast place next to a large Indian supermarket. There was such a long line waiting that we figured it must be alright. It was okay but not spectacular. Primarily because a lot of items on the posted menu were not available. Then it took an extraordinarily long time to get our food. Over 25 minutes. It wasn't worth the wait.

Always looking for a good indian restaurant and Honest did not disappoint. glad that they have a large indochinese menu since many indian restaurants don't. All the items we got were super flavorful. will definitely come back again

The food was very good here and I really appreciated how it tasted authentic; however, what had me a little taken aback was the guest service. When me and my first party had seated we had a wobbly table so we moved to another table that wasn't shaky. When the manager saw this he yelled at the waiter who was directing all the people to tables and I felt really bad for him because it wasn't his fault and to yell like that in front of all the customers is very embarrassing and rude. Also when we got our food this same manager just came and slid the food tray on our table and walked away as fast as he could. I get that the restaurant is busy but I think he could've at least asked if we needed anything else or at least looked like he wasn't angry and irritated. Either way this manager made the whole experience uncomfortable.

This place brought back memories from Indian street food. The masala dosa was crispy with awesome stuffing. One of the best I have had in a while. The chai was extremely flavorful with the right amount of sugar. If you don't drink sugar- it comes with it. The pani puri could have been a little more tangy but for the quantity they gave- it was cheap for $5.99 A definite visit for anyone craving Indian street food. There are a plethora of sandwiches to try and lots of different South Indian food. I have to go again to try all the rest

This is my favorite place to go for Indian street food- they have such great variety and so many vegetarian options to choose from. My top three are the grilled Chicago style honest sandwich, the Indian pizza, and the dabang dosa! They are so cheesy and flavorful and not too spicy. Also, the prices are very reasonable as the portion sizes are huge (the sandwiches come with a bag of chips!) everything is made to order so it comes out hot and fresh. Also highly recommend the fresh sugarcane juice.

Honest has the best pav bhaji in Chicago. Offering all vegetarian food, the menu has something for everyone. Great food and great service , will be back again.

Honest indian restaurant is located in the strip mall right next to Patel Brothers. The dining area is fairly large, with numerous tables and booths. You go to the front counter and order from the menu there, and they bring the food out to you. I love all types of indian food, vegetarian, or meat, so I've had my fair share. I'll be honest with you (see what I did there?) The food itself is OK, but the customer service is really good. I have a tree nut allergy, meaning, I can have peanuts, but not cashews, almonds, pecans, etc. Honest Restaurant, although they are explicit, and there is a sign for peanut allergy, I thought I was good. I ordered the masala dosa, and luckily after getting my order, I asked (although I should have asked beforehand) and there apparently was cashews in it. I felt bad having to send back and reorder, but the people there were so nice about it. The people there were very accommodating and explained all the menu items, specifically, which didn't have any nuts in it. I ended up getting the Bhaji Pav, which out of most of the menu, didn't have any tree nuts. I never had Bhaji Pav and it was A-OK. The order came in this cardboard togo box thingy and came with two pieces of bread. Overall A-OK food. But extra star for the customer service. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located past the front counter, the bathroom had a urinal and toilet. The bathroom smelled well, like a bathroom, and overall I wish it was more clean. But everything was in working order and fit my needs. Sit or squat? Squat.

Alright listen up, if you crave anything but pay bhaji (not bhabhi), this is your place to be at! I love the dosas here and that's what I crave the most. I come here to get my belly full with nothing but some delicious plain dosas full of butter and sambhar. But there is plenty of other items to eat here as well that is just as delicious. I like the service, it's quick and no fuss. I also can't complaint about parking as there is plenty. Will I be back, you bet!

The food tasted good however, it was very little portion and misleading. The price for chaat on their digital menu was $5.99 and they upharged for 6.99. We requested for Kaju ice cream and the host said it's not available and suggested Kaju "shake" instead and charged another $7 for Kaju "Fallooda". Below is the picture and size of the "falooda" which lacked the main ingredient of noodles and DID NOT look like the picture of falooda on their display At ALL. Very disappointed and felt cheated. Will not come back.

The food is less than desirable. It is a self service restaurant but when paying they ask if u want to tip. I don't know why tips are necessary when it is all self service and they provide zero service. If you have leftovers they will give you boxes, but no bag. You have to dispose of any trash yourself. No busboy. Water is free and you can refill it yourself. Like I said before...self service. We ordered the following: * Steamed Classic Momos - a couple were stuck to the plate and all the filling came out. The others were falling apart. The overall taste was not good. The chutney was spicy and not bad. * Punjabi Samosa - it tasted like frozen samosas reheated. Did not taste fresh. * Aloo Paratha - It was ok but tastes like it was reheated from frozen. Lots of ghee. * Paneer Tikka Masala - It was sweet and had zero spicy flavor. First time having any tikka masala taste sweet. * Palak Paneer - It tasted like grass. Lacked any in depth flavor. * Garlic Naan - It was so paper thin it could have been a crispy cracker. Do not recommend eating here. Disappointed.

If you're considering dining at Kritunga Indian Restaurant in the northwest suburbs of Chicago,…read morethink again. My recent experience there was nothing short of a disaster, and I would strongly advise against visiting this establishment. Here's why: Firstly, the management of the restaurant is incredibly unprofessional. The place is run by a group of young individuals who seem to have no understanding of customer service or respect for their patrons. Upon arrival, it was clear that they prioritized larger parties over smaller groups like ours. Despite the restaurant being relatively new, it was evident that they had not taken the time to properly train their staff or understand the basics of running a successful business. Our dining experience started off poorly and only got worse. The staff barely acknowledged us and seemed disinterested in providing any sort of quality service. The lack of attention to smaller parties like ours was not just noticeable but blatant. We felt ignored and undervalued, which set a negative tone for the entire meal. The food, which is supposed to be the highlight of any dining experience, was utterly disappointing. We ordered several dishes, hoping to enjoy the rich flavors and spices that Indian cuisine is known for. However, each dish was tasteless and bland. It was as if no thought or care had been put into the preparation. The flavors were flat, and the textures were off. It was a complete waste of money, especially considering there are numerous other Indian restaurants in the area that offer far superior food. Adding to the misery was the state of the restaurant itself. The floor was slippery, making it hazardous to walk around. It was clear that cleanliness and safety were not priorities here. Both bathrooms were lacking basic amenities, such as tissues, which is unacceptable. Additionally, there was no salt and pepper in the shakers at our table, a small but significant detail that further highlighted the restaurant's lack of attention to basic customer needs. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was also lacking. Instead of feeling welcomed and comfortable, we felt neglected and uncomfortable. The staff's attitude was one of arrogance and indifference, which was reflected in the poor service and subpar food. It's truly a shame because the northwest suburbs of Chicago have a vibrant dining scene with many excellent Indian restaurants. Unfortunately, this place does not come close to meeting the standards set by its competitors. The combination of poor service, tasteless food, and an unclean environment makes this place a regrettable choice for anyone looking to enjoy a meal out. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. It was a thoroughly disappointing experience from start to finish. The management needs to seriously rethink their approach to running a restaurant and prioritize their customers' needs and satisfaction. Until significant improvements are made, I would suggest avoiding this place and opting for one of the many other decent Indian restaurants in the area. Save your money and your taste buds--do not dine here.
