Great little corner store for interesting craft beer, wine and lottery tix. The food though leaves much to be desired...as a vegetarian there are very few options. (No veggie patties as a meat substitute for example) Twice I have gone in for breakfast and twice I came home to find out my bagel had not been toasted as requested. Also I had to ask what bagel options were available but when I then asked for an everything bagel I was told my lox was almost done. Mind you this was one of the non-toasted bagels so changing for customer service would have been quite easy. I also caught a bit of attitude in the form of body language/facial expression by the girl who made the sandwich. Not a good way to treat a customer. I once tried this place for lunch and ordered a veggie sandwich and was unfortunately disappointed with the contents when I got home. Lettuce, tomatoes a ton of mustard and not much else. Maybe I should eat there so I know what I'm getting before leaving? I am writing this review so they can improve the food and service. I really want this place to succeed. I found this place on yelp yesterday and decided to try it out. I was very disappointed. I waited for 40 min for an original milk tea with boba. There were maybe about 3 other customers and 5 people behind the counter. I'm not sure if cashier was new but it seemed as if she had no idea what she was doing and was super slow and so were all the other employees making the drinks. I complained that I waited for over half an hour for my drink and they gave me $2 back. My milk tea tasted nothing like milk tea. It tasted like watered down, Lipton black tea with sugar. My friends and I get food from honey bees here and there because we all live very close. It's a known thing that honey bees always messes up orders. Like every time we go there at least one of our orders would be messed up and this was before COVID. I've been ordering from them for delivery recently and I'm realizing how cheap they are. If i add avocado to a bagel for i think it's $1.50 i get one slice of avo. and this has happened multiple times (me thinking that maybe they were super busy the first time). I asked for very light ice with the viet coffee and it came 3/4 full with the same amount of ice????? it's sucks because i do enjoy their food but i'm over the cheapness and the messed up orders. read more

This place is not far from my neighborhood. I think it was an older general store that was redone and it looks great now. I decided to stop in and give it a try and I had a delicious breakfast. A bagel with turkey and egg and a delicious coffee and orange juice and it was fantastic. Definitely a cool neighborhood corner café and general store. Nice people working there. I ordered the make your breakfast croissant turkey with egg salt pepper, provolone and tomato. My partner ordered the chicken pesto panini and a sunshine delight tea. My croissant was delicious! Flaky buttery and filling at 5.25. inexpensive. The chicken pesto was 7.25. it was good but the chicken was a bit dry and lacked seasoning. It was missing something I felt like. This place is waking distance from my home and it's located in a very nice area. It has quite the view to the contemporary Islamic Temple next door. I ordered the Honeybees' iced coffee which was pretty great. It's a little sweeter than what usually order at various coffee shop but not too sweet. It's after taste was the best part. Savory but not too overwhelming. It's a nice treat on a hot summery day. The cashier was very friendly and was ready to receive me the moment I entered. I feel that the place is still under renovations, but enjoy the openness of the main counter with added wooden bar extension. I love having Honeybee's in the neighborhood. I have seen great improvement over the past year and I will continue to support our local spot.
