The restaurant itself is quite small but they offer both dine in and take out. They have limited indoor seating consisting of booths and bar seating with a lot more outdoor seating which would be nice once the weather warms up. I was able to try their Chicken Banh Mi, and it was absolutely amazing. The perfect balance of flavors with the crispy chicken, pickled veggies, and zesty sauce! It is a bit on the spicy side but it is balanced very well with their sauce. The Honey Butter Rolls are a must try as well! They are soft, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet topped with a little Maldon salt making it really yummy. I ended my meal with the S'mores Hand Pie for dessert, and wow, it was good! Warning they do come super hot so let them cool a bit if you can control yourself. To top it all off, their happy hour (HH) offered $6 cocktails which was a steal! The Strawberry Daiquiri was delicious, the Firework Frozen drink was a bit too sweet for me but their HH deal is one of the best I've experienced for fans of mixed drinks. Besides the retro themed aesthetics of this place, each table has a QR code where you are redirected to a site to start a tab by yourself or with the whole group. I think this is very convenient as you can pay your tab and not have to rely on a server to flag down if you need to leave early, ect. Of course I got the four piece meal with the two rolls along with wedges. There is a upcharge if you'd like it " Honeymoon Style " which is just their signature Hot Honey. A sticky ordeal but very worth it in every bite. The chicken and the rolls came out quick and I was delighted to take a bite. Have you ever ate something so good where your eyes rolled back? Upon our arrival, the dining area was full (all booths were taken) but the bar area was open so we sat there. It was both of our first times being there so we didn't know what to expect. The hostess didn't really provide any instruction or even ask us if this was our first time dining there. She just told us that it was ok for us to sit at the bar. Once we sat down, we were immediately greeted by someone else who provided us with water. At that point, my friend grabbed 2 menus from the hostess stand (the same one who didn't say anything) and we browsed the menu. Again, by it being our first time there, we were expecting someone to come to us for our order. It wasn't until one of the employees prepping the meals told us to use the QR code to order that we did. Ordering was super easy and very convenient. The process was honestly one of my favorites. It had every option and add-on option clearly spelled out. Because I wanted a leg and wing, I ordered the 3 piece meal. Each meal comes with 2 dinner rolls and I added the Mac and cheese! The chicken was piping hot when we received it (which wasn't going after ordering! It was juicy and crispy. The honey dust also to add extra flavor! Next time I go, I will try one of the honey drizzles (which is an up charge FYI) The Mac and cheese was not the best I've had but was pretty standard for what you're expecting. It was good, though. I wanted to try the potato wedges but decided against it. The dinner rolls...my favorite part of the meal! Overall, I'd give Honeymoon a 3.5 to 4 out of 5 stars! Service can be improved ESPECIALLY for first timers. Never assume someone knows your policy and the hostess could've been a little friendlier. Everyone else in the establishment was great! Very middle-of-the-road for me. Stopped by on a whim on a random Tuesday for lunch, arriving at 11 am when they opened. I ordered a three-piece meal which included chicken thigh, leg, and whole wing (dipped in the honey sauce for a $1 up-charge) and two rolls, and I added on a side of Brussels sprouts. Despite the restaurant having just opened, the chicken wasn't piping hot. It was borderline room temp as it lacked the usual fresh-out-the-grease temp at which you'd want your fried chicken served. The chicken wasn't bad, but it also wasn't good. The Brussels sprouts were super bland-- they need salt or bacon, OR BOTH. The yeast rolls, luckily, were the star of the show. They were soft and the bottoms were dipped in a delicious honey-butter (?) sauce. I could've eaten four of these and been satisfied. The service was kind of nonexistent. I told the hostess that I'd be dining in, she told me to sit anywhere, brought over a plastic cup of water, and that was it. I ordered my meal using the QR code taped to the table. (It was unclear at first whether I needed to pay the tab before my food would be delivered to the table; I just waited for a bit and realized I could close the tab after my food was delivered.) I've been wanting to visit Honeymoon Chicken in person for a while, but thanks to a last-minute trip to the National Zoo to see the giant pandas, we had to skip the dine-in experience.
