This buffet has always been one of our go-to places when in Branson. I would have rated it 4 or five stars based upon past experience, I don't know what has happened in the last two years, but it is a mere shadow of its former self. The food was tasteless and unimaginative. I would not go here again unless I had no other choice. On the plus side, it was clean, buffet well-stocked, and staff attentive. We have eaten at this restaurant several times and the food seems to be getting worse. They offer the same items every time and never try to change it up. This last visit was particularly disappointing. The noodles were over cooked and soggy, and several of the other entrees tasted greasy. The grilled steak was tough and the sausage just tasted bad. Our waitress never came over to refill our drinks we had to grab the lady that sat us down because clearly she had zero intentions on coming over. Huge buffet, quick service. They easily accomodated our group of 11. Some of the items on the bufet were really good, some were not. I totally avoided the sushi section since there was no way to know how long stuff had been sitting out. The 8 1/2 dollar buffet price gave us access to a salad bar, hot food bar, and dessert bar with ice cream, cookies and cake. Everyone found something they liked. Although the staff was quick to pick up our dishes, the floor in the restaurant was very dirty with food, napkins, etc. I didn't see any attempts to clean that up. read more

No soap in restroom. Rice and the majority of foods were not fresh at all. Very pour service, you need to ask waitress several times to collect your plates. They are all playing with their mobile instead of caring their costumers. They even charge a 3 year old child. My wife and I enjoyed Branson from 3/9/19 to 3/15/19. Absolutely the best meal that we had was at the Hong Kong Buffet. We almost missed out because of the bad Yelp reviews. Terry was our server and she was very attentive and personable. The food was tasty, and fresh. Good for meat-eaters, vegetarians, and vegan alike. My wife is a non-meat eater and she enjoyed there fresh salad bar very much. I sampled much of the buffet and was not disappointed. This place is horrible as far as service goes. The food was ok however our server never checked on us, she brought us our check about 5-10 minutes after we started eating, we had to ask another waitress for our cups to be refilled. Our waitress Terry was yelling across the room and was very loud. I ordered 2 cashew chickens and a general chicken some egg rolls and crab ragoon the cashew chicken didn't have any cashews and the sauce tasted like brown gravy it was all cold. The general chicken is supposed to be a little bit spicy and it tastes like sweet and sour. The egg rolls were cold and soggy. I called and complained she said to bring it back so I did and the manager was extremely rude didn't apologize for the food being horrible. This place SUCKS . There was very little actual "Oriental" food on the buffet and what there was was not flavored like any I have had before. For instance, beef and broccoli has a regular normally accepted recipe - but their's didn't taste anything like every other beef and broccoli I have ever had or made in my own kitchen. Even the egg rolls and crab Rangoon was yucky and I am not a picky eater -- usually I can eat anything that's been deep fried. We were so disappointed. The only reason I could see people might enjoy this slop was solely for the huge quantities they could pile on their plates, basically favoring huge quantities over any hint of quality. Went to Hong Kong Buffet on July 30th with daughter, son-in-law and grandson. We arrived 10 minutes after opening. The buffet is very limited without a good selection. There were two different chicken items, both were tough and barely warm. The noodles were cool and not very good. The same with most other items. My grandson wanted a cookie. They had 2 separate flavors and both were dried out and hard as a rock. To sum it up, we expected the food to be fresh and warm since they just opened, but tasted more like day old overcooked. Terrible the food is very limited and not good. The add for this place says they have over 100 items including sushi. Well no sushi to start which is why I came but also not even a classic like general tso. The only way they can say 100 items is because they must count every salad ingredient and each flavor of soda. There are six Chinese entree to choose from and hard to find any meet in them. Sorry that I am so negative on here but when you look on an add and it is very misleading you can't expect happy customers. As for the cleanliness about ever other plate was dirty along with my fork. Would have liked to give this restaurant 3 - 4 stars because the food was good and the service was ok, BUT they allow smoking in the restaurant and that is a huge problem with me and my family. We don't believe we should be forced to breath somebody else's drug addiction. I can't remember how many times I have had a nice meal ruined by some idiot lighting up a cigarette.
