Rude service. Not much to choose from more American food than anything else. Really let down by this place. Don't recommend at all.

Coming from a local resident, this is the only option for a Chinese buffet in the area. The only place remotely close would be at the Shanghai Star oriental Chinese joint in Branson West (which is Outstanding and cooked to order and there are only a few tables to sit inside) or Springfield. The food is spotty, but I would definitely recommend coming as soon as they open or after 4pm when the food is fresh.

This buffet on the main drag in Branson has a little something g for everyone. However the actual Chinese dishes were limited and several looked over cooked. It's a popular spot with a lot of people here. Overall food was hot and they kept bringing out when items were low. Overall ok.

BBQ ribs were part of the veggie and meat options with the Chinese options.

Such wide opinions for this spot. Our experience was this wasn't close to a 1-star review, but definitely not a 5-star place either. There were a variety of chicken or beef and veggie items for the Chinese selections. Chinese soups, egg foo yung, and sweet mousse cakes were also available. Some standards, like General Tso's chicken, were missing. However, for a Chinese buffet about half the food trays were filled with American comfort foods: fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet corn, sweet rolls, waffle fries, BBQ ribs, etc. Back on the Chinese side there were some odd options, such as cheesy fried shrimp (which looked too awful to try) and "burbon" chicken. Service was acceptable. There are discounts for seniors, veterans, and others but you won't get them unless you ask or note the tiny sign away from the price menu.

Not the best, Chinese food only by definition. Would recommend trying another option.

It was fair. Not the best or worst we have eaten. It was good to see kimchee. If/when we visit Branson might try the other oriental buffet.

The food was ok. It's a typical Chinese buffet. There were many different food options on the buffet and we well ate our money's worth.

My waitress, Jacqueline, was so very sweet. She kept my drinks full and got me extra plates. Don't listen to the hateful comments on here. This place had great, fresh food with awesome service. Anyways 3.5 to be honest, but I selected 4stars above. So they got 3.5 which is better than your typical CG which is only a 2star at best. So they beat out all the other CG i have eaten at.

The buffet is usually well-stocked and clean, and most of the staff are friendly and attentive. The restrooms could be cleaner, but that seems to be more of a patron issue than a staff issue. Out of dozens of visits, I've only had one experience that really surprised me. I noticed an eyelash in the ranch dressing and told the buffet attendant about it. He notified someone who I believe was the night manager. The manager used the same ladle that was already in the ranch to scoop out the eyelash, threw that portion away, and simply replaced the spoon. I was shocked. I told him that just replacing the spoon isn't sanitary. He can't just remove the foreign object and leave the rest out for the patrons. He reacted as if he suddenly realized he had a 'duh' moment and asked the buffet attendant to replace the ranch bowl. Maybe he just had an off day or it was a long shift? Idk. I stood nearby to make sure it was handled properly and it was. They dumped the old ranch in the trash and put the bowl elsewhere. Then they put out a fresh, new ranch in the buffet. I haven't seen anything else like that before or since. That said, I do hope that after all holiday food is gone, they will change the Mexican dishes back to their larger sizes. With the dishes being smaller, they're always empty, so that's a bit annoying. Even with those two issues, we would still return. This is seriously the best Golden Corral around and everyone has an off day. ETA: I also love the amount of vegetable options here! It's the only place you can go and have a bunch of vegetables with your meat options. I primarily eat the veggies on each visit, in addition to a good helping of taco meat (topped with rice and cheese sauce). Sometimes I get a little bit of pot roast, and occasionally, a little piece of meatloaf. Vegetable-wise, I get the same ones every time. The seasoned cabbage is surprisingly good, especially if you get the pieces that have the seasoning directly on it. Seriously though Golden Corral, don't put Baby (taco meat) in the corner! She needs to shine in a larger container like she used to lol. Same with the rice and cheese sauce.

At Roadhouse 165, you get fresh food and a team that genuinely seems to love working there. The salad bar includes fresh Romain and spinach greens unlike many of the local restaurants that only serve iceberg lettuce. Along with a great selection of greens the choices of vegetables for salads are plentiful. Several standard dressings and the highlight. The deviled egg dressing are all available to place on top of your salad or take on the side. We're entrées there was Meat Loaf, fried chicken, grilled chicken, fried catfish tri-tip being served at a carving station. A baked potato bar, several sides including green beans, mashed potatoes, and many more favorites like mac & cheese and chicken pasta. Desserts were cookies and ice cream. A drink was included with the meal, making it an all inclusive dinner. Service was spot-on and as mentioned earlier, all of the staff we interacted with were friendly and welcoming. We will be returning often, as this is definitely the best buffet for fresh food in the area.

Food on the buffet had flavor some interesting combinations like balsamic Brussel sprouts. They changed several offerings while we were there. Being new I think they are experimenting on what they had out. Food on the buffet was solid. Baked potatoes were way overs cooked but they brought out a fresh one from the back and did change over the station. When our KC steak came out it was a beautiful cut but was Pittsburgh rare when ordered as medium. We had to send back and they got it up to medium rare. Manager apologized and brought out the redo. Overall I'd come back they just have to work out some kinks.
