My wife wanted Thai food. We are visiting from out town and this was the closest place. When we walked in we were the only ones there and had to ask if they were open. This was 5:30pm on a Friday evening. I wanted to leave but my wife really wanted Thai. The service was very friendly. My wife had a glass of wine and I had ice tea. We order the cream cheese wontons which were good once we got to eat them. The wontons and the sauce were so hot (think steam) you couldn't eat them. Our food came out and they were still to hot to eat. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, there were exactly 2 small pieces of pineapple, bell pepper and onion. My wife ordered a not hot dish and said wow I would hate to see how hot medium is. Overall the food was just OK, not bad not great. When I asked for a refill on my ice tea I was told that you only get 1 refill and if I wanted more I would have to pay for another. She said it was on the menu, so I looked and the menu stated two free refills on soda. She said that did not include the ice tea. When we paid I asked about a service charge on our bill, I was told it was for using a credit card. I have got think there has to be a better place to get Asian food. read more

Great secret in Rogers just off interstate 94. Worth the trip from MG or Monticello. Great Asian dishes at very reasonable prices. Wonderful service. Get Keelie as your server. Delicious curries. Only the 4 star is kind of hot. All are delicious. They use really good chicken in their recipes. You will see and taste the difference from this typical mom and pop Chinese joints. Great appetizers. Very weird dining experience especially from the owner, Randy Carstensen. I had a craving for Good Thai food and was hoping to be good. It was OK. In the Yellow Curry Dish they added onions to the dish. I told him it was Unique and had address I never saw "Onions" used in Thai Dishes especially curry dishes. He seemed to be a bit offended about it but I did not start any ugly confrontations since he asked me. I did NOT say it was terrible either. He insisted that in Thailand the used onions but I myself have been to Thailand and never experience the use of the ingredient Onions. He said they do in Bankok and I have been to Bankok and never experience eating their too. A bit weird in conversation. I was gonna give him tip but he seemed ticked off at me. I told him I might come back but now I am having 2nd thoughts of regret. Also claims this new religion called being a "Hebron" because of his bearded appearance. I asked him them if he was Jewish and he said no since he was a "Hebron". Anyways it was a weird experience in means of the owner's touch of reality. Also ready other reviews of diner's experiencing his flaky behavior carrying a gun. I did not see it but being a judgmental person I can imagine it as well as Not to mention him running a Thai restaurant with other locations. I am shocked to see such positive reviews and high ratings for this place. For starters, the name is misleading as the food is not by any stretch of imagination Thai food. The restaurant itself looks outdated and seedy, with a poor attempt at pseudo-Asian decor. The location is terrible. It seems hard to find if you are not familiar with the area, and is located in what amounts to a back alley. Overall, the restaurant's appearance is just not appealing. Our waitress was perky and attentive, but in the interest of fairness, we were the only people there. The food was reasonably priced for the amount given. However, I would not consider this a bargain, as it wasn't very good food. It was bland and overcooked. My rice had been rendered to mush. We expected authentic Asian cooking, but this seemed to be poorly prepared mass produced restaurant-supplier food. read more

I have been here a number of times before, but this last time made me not want to go here ever again. Our server (the owner's husband) was quite cold to us and never came back to check up on us. The portions were much smaller than they were in the past and the Beef Lo Mein tasted like boxed noodles in a bowl of water. All in all, very cheap tasting. We ended up having to walk in the back kitchen to get our bill as our waiter disappeared for 15 minutes and never brought us the bill. We will not be coming here again. I think the must put crack in the panang chicken curry. I could not stop eating this! The frothy coconut milk on top just kicks it over the top. I also tried the drunken noodles which were good but I think would be better eaten at the restaurant. I did a carryout order and all my noodles had melted together by the time I plated it. Plus next time I'll get it spicy since it needed a little heat. But it was also really tasty and I'll order again. This will be my new go to Thai restaurant in the Minneapolis area. read more

Well, we dropped in on our way to Fargo. It was about 2:30 pm and it has good reviews. No one was at the front to greet us. We sat down and waited 10 min. Someone was working in the back and could obviously see us waiting. No one came out to ask for our order. Also, there was a couple tables that still had dirty dishes on them. After hearing everyone rave about this Thai restaurant we decided to give it a try last weekend. Both my wife and I are huge Thai food fans. We ordered pad see yew and spicy lemongrass curry. I did not like the food very much at all. It wasn't good. Maybe to someone else it is, but I did not enjoy it. The pad see yew tasted like it was frozen and not made fresh. The curry was very thin and not very tasty with very little of anything else other than the curry sauce. Went to Hong Thai tonight and on a Friday night they have one sever. They had no ice and the pop and water were warm. Had the kids run to gas station for drinks. Took a long time for server to come and take our order. We Had cold rice and she actually told us our rice was cold. Didn't do anything to fix it. We all ate finished eating and we're waiting for bill as she didn't come back and we couldn't get her attention. Went to pay and told her to have a good night and relax since it seemed like a busy night, she said to us " I don't want to be that person but we did close at 9". We have gone to Hong Thai, twice... For takeout... The food ranges from ok to very good for flavor and quality. If you are looking for authentic Thai food, you may be disappointed. This is more like Thai inspired. The stables are sound. Pud Thai is awesome, the curries are great, although a little runny. The egg and spring rolls are amazing! Seriously do not pass up an order of one or the other or both. The chili beef is also very good. We really enjoyed it. The cashew chicken wasn't for us. It was ok, wouldn't order again. On one of our orders they were a little stingy on rice. Order two meals with rice, and received one container of rice. Keep that in mind when ordering. The restaurant is clean, but not very welcoming. The owner is very nice but a little eclectic. Prices are fair, maybe a little high. We will continue to get take out there for sure. read more

I went to eat there twice, each time I was brought a mound of greasy rice with small bits of pretend beef! The egg rolls looked like burnt pieces of wood and tasted like oily mysterious rolls of cotton! The restaurant was dark and seedy looking. The restaurant was hard to find and the location wasn't welcoming especially on a dark night. I don't recommend going there, take your appetites to the first fast food joint off the highway! I have eaten Thai food in Thailand, and all over the US. This restaurant serves excellent, authentic Thai food. Their chicken Panang is some of the best I have ever had. Contrary to other reviews, the service is very good most of the time. When I go there to eat (rather than take out), the service can sometimesbe slow, but so what? This is a small restaurant with just a handful of employees. I love the feeling of a neighborhood restaurant, and the food and the niceness of everyone makes up for the few times the service was slow. The fact that authentic Thai can be found in Rogers is amazing, and a blessing for those of us that live in the area. Two more things: the spicy chicken wings are insanely good, and for the reviewer that suggests you go to Bo Bo (a chinese restaurant instead), they dont serve authentic Thai food. If you like Chinese, then yes, go there, they have great food, but no real Thai.. Excellent restaurant, excellent food, go there. (UPDATE) Just went there again (I usually get to-go, but tonight went there to eat). We tried the fried egg rolls, spring rolls, masman curry, and wantons. My two spring rolls were wrapped in stale rice paper and my Param Long Son contained a half cup of spinach, five small squares of tofu, an over-salted peanut sauce without a trace of coconut flavor.
