The dumplings here are amazing. There is some confusion about sauces as 2 employees gave me different information. The pizza dumplings were a special but they come back from time to time. After seeing this place all over my tiktok, I knew we had to come try it!! This place was very good!! Definitely worth stoping in! There is paid parking outside but we found a spot fairly quickly. Inside you order on a tablet. They do have water that is free, otherwise it is cans for soda. The food came fairly quickly! The service we had was so fast, I can't even tell you if people here are friendly haha! They dropped our food off and were gone again! But we loved the fast service! The pizza dumplings were good, not great. They tasted like a fancier pizza roll. The sauce it came with was good though! The buffalo scallion pancake wrap was VERY good! I thought the dumpling were going to wow me but it was really the burrito that I couldn't get enough of! The texture of the tortilla was so soft and blended perfectly with the Asian flavors. I do want to come back and try more of the dumplings and sauces as well. I also loved the decor was so fun and bubbly - it just felt so fun. It's counter service with a self-order screen. As taboo and contrarian as this may seem, I wasn't a fan of the dumplings and the chicken bowl was underwhelming. There was a sauce I couldn't pinpoint in the bowl (I think it was supposed to be a green onion mix but it looked like mojo?) and the slaw mix tasted heavily of wasabi. Service: there is counter service, then you seat and clean up after yourself. Service was friendly and efficient. This is likely an unpopular opinion, but felt Saturday Dumpling was just ok. The pork and cabbage dumplings lacked flavor, however they are packed with filling which is awesome! The chicken Caesar sandwich again was good but didn't quite get the hype. That said, the chicken is cooked perfectly. Nice and crunchy. The pork rice bowl was the most flavorful of the items we ordered. The place is cute with a sweet alley type patio. This is a perfect lunch spot and there is parking behind the building in a ramp with designated parking. Great food for what it is- fast casual. This isn't a cheap meal, especially considering you order yourself (on a computer), take a plastic number, and then get your order, and you self-bus. The tables and chairs give Chipotle-level vibes so it's not a comfortable place that encourages you to linger. BUT the decor is cute and funky, and the food was great. Surprised myself by not ordering dumplings. The chicken caesar sandwich was just as good as everyone says- the warm, fresh-baked scallion foccacia was pillowy soft and the sesame crusted chicken was unexpectedly unique and delicious- a nice nuttiness. We stopped by yesterday because we saw on social media they were bringing back breakfast burritos for New Year's Day (one day only). When we arrived, we were lucky to find a metered parking spot directly in front of the store. Meters weren't enforced yesterday because of the holiday! The area has a lot of businesses nearby, so sometimes it can get busy and may require some circling around to find parking, but I've never had to be more than a couple blocks away! We arrived just a little after 11 am. It wasn't very busy at the time. The staff greeted us right away when we entered. There are a couple vegetarian and vegan options on the menu as well as a gluten-free chicken bowl. We preordered 2 egg and cheese burritos, which were ready by the time we arrived! We also decided to order veggie dumplings at the kiosk. There are numbers sitting next to the kiosk which you enter with your order and bring to your table. You seat yourself. The dine-in orders are brought directly to the tables. There is a station near the pickup area where you can get your own napkins, utensils, water cups, or Zab's hot sauce (which is a slightly sweet hot sauce). There is also hand sanitizer available. The decor was cute, it was very pink and there are large windows for anyone who wants to look outside as they're dining! It is a casual place and would be good for meeting up with friends! For the food: I really enjoyed the breakfast burrito! I would rate that 4.5/5. It is flavorful and delicious, and unlike any other breakfast burrito in the twin cities metro. It uses Chinese giardiniera (which had a milder pickled flavor), scallion pancake tortilla, a generous amount of sauce and cheese, and egg! The only drawback is that the components were distributed very evenly, with half the burrito being much cheesier than the other half. With that being said, I still really enjoyed it! I wish they would bring the breakfast burritos back permanently, but would highly recommend watching Saturday Dumpling Co.'s social media for when they do occasionally come back! The veggie dumplings weren't my favorite. They contained cabbage, carrots, tofu, mushrooms, and scallions. They had a firmer texture as far as veggie dumplings go, which all sounds good in theory. However I found them to be a little bland. We ordered them with the chili oil, but found it didn't have much spice. I would not get the veggie dumplings again. They did come with some veggies on the side (cabbage slaw, celery, and some cucumbers which were very mildly pickled). I felt like the veggie sides were more flavorful than the dumplings themselves. I have heard good things about the dumplings here, so maybe their meat dumplings are better than their veggie ones? Overall impression: some items are better than others. I would come back for the breakfast burrito, but not for the veggie dumplings. read more

I've been on the hunt for good dumplings in Minnesota ever since I moved here and this place is definitely up there. The dumplings were absolutely delicious and the portion size was really generous for the price. I got the vegetarian option and it was full of flavor, super satisfying. It is really easy to order, you add you order on the screen and they give you a number for your table and bring out your dumplings when its ready. Super quick and efficient. One thing I really loved is that they also sell frozen dumplings to take home, and those are even bigger than the ones they serve in the restaurant. Such a nice option if you want to stock up and enjoy them later. I do wish they had a few more vegetarian choices on the menu, but what they do have is really well done so I can't complain too much. Went to a few of their popups and have been looking forward to checking out their physical space since it opened. It's in the old Glam Doll space because, I assume, they didn't have to redecorate at all! Really bright, open space with an almost overwhelming amount of pink. They use a kiosk-based ordering system that's becoming more popular where you grab an order #, enter it in when paying, and grab a table. They bring it out for you and the limited interaction we had was really friendly and helpful. Limited, paid parking nearby on the street and a lot or two. There's also a little side patio I didn't notice until we were leaving. FOOD: We got the current special Szechuan Chicken Caesar sandwich and Seasoned Fries. The seasoning on the fries was 90% cumin (which I love) and they were perfectly blanched then fried with an awesome, light tempura-esque crisp. I'm not a huge fry fan and I'd get these again for sure. The sandwich was just as good. Really nice and light focaccia with a crispy, not too oily exterior. Romain was crispy and it wasn't over dressed. No real szechuan pepper in the dredge, which I was bummed about, but the crust was crisp and meat itself was nicely tender. Sesame added some nice nuttiness. My only complaint was that the cutlet was pretty thin but overall it was decently balanced. The dumplings over delivered, I got the tingly mala beef which is the dumpling of the moment right now and they were nice and crispy and flavorful. This new hot and new restaurant just opened up in Minneapolis! The interior is very cute! Everything is pink, bright and gives good vibes. I would recommend going on a weekday because the weekends get super busy but I was still able to find a seat pretty fast. Keep in mind that it is only street parking. Even though it was busy, the food was served quickly. I got the "dumpling of the moment." This signature dish is a fusion of their dumpling-style dishes as well as collaborations from different restaurants. They were able to collab with Diane's Place from NE Minneapolis. I would say it was juicy, meaty and had lots of flavor! Every bite was delicious. But the cumin fries.... Omg those were my fav. Something about the seasoning and crispness are just too good. Finally got the chance to check out Saturday Dumping. Went on Sunday a bit after lunch rush. It was consistently busy but we were able to find a seat and food came out pretty quick. They had 2 kiosk as you walk in the door to order food and/or merch and frozen dumplings as well. We ended up ordering: 1 Chicken & Mushroom Dumplings (contains soy) $14.00 1 oz. Garlic Chili Aioli (V, GF, Spicy) 1 oz. Diane's Peanut Sauce (Very Spicy, contains peanuts & shellfish) $0.75 1 Crispy Sambal Chicken Rice Bowl (Spicy, GF, contains soy) $16.00 The dumplings were good. They were flavorful. The bowl was really good though as far as the toppings but I do feel it was filled w/ mostly rice. My mom really liked the slaw they put on the side. Diane's peanut sauce was good & had a light kick. I love pink so naturally I loved the overall aesthetic. I will say we did see one of the staff cleaning the tables in a very unsanitary way. It was busy so I'm glad they come around to clean often but they used 1 rag and would spray the table then wipe the chairs with the same rag. Then do the same at every other table with the same dirty rag. So basically the tables are not clean, which I get that's a risk eating out anywhere. read more

I've been following this business for a while back to when they did pick ups in NE Minneapolis during COVID! So excited to check out their brick and mortar! Plenty of street parking available nearby! The interior is darling...pink walls, rounded edges, modern aesthetic, with plenty of seating! It's a counter service establishment, with iPad ordering and delivery to your table! Service was helpful in bringing us our food quickly and helping us understand menu items when we ordered. Don't forget to grab their frozen dumplings to go with your order! The food was delicious! We didn't have a bad bite and my boyfriend and I had different favorites! My boyfriend loved their Tingly Beef Nachos, a weekly special, with yummy ground beef, crispy chips, and a lovely cheese sauce. My favorite was the Braised Pork Burrito, which was HUGE, wrapped in a scallion pancake, and with loads of yummy meat! The Pork and Dill Dumplings were also tasty, dipped in their chili oil! After many Saturday morning standing in line to purchase frozen dumplings from Saturday Dumpling Co in north Minneapolis I finally made a visit to their brick-n-mortar location in northeast Minneapolis. I was not disappointed to have visited here. The dumplings were hot and fresh and prepared better than I could make them at home. The special dumpling of the day was the Pork and Dill which is what I ordered. A choice of dipping sauces was available, but I chose the recommended sauce. The sides were pickles, pickled celery and slaw. The pickled celery was amazing. I was there on a Thursday at lunchtime and had no wait. There were kiosks at the front entrance to place your order. If you weren't comfortable with the technology a member of the staff would assist and complete the order for you. There was a lot of seating, the restaurant was not crowded and I found a table for myself right away. Take out ordering is also onsite or via the Local by Toast app on a smart phone. The staff was top notch, accomdating and genuinely happy to be there. I was impresssed with the minimal use of non-compostable equipment when served to the guests. I had met Chef and founder Peter Bian previously on one of the Saturday morning pick-ups. The operation was founded by Peter and his wife. All of the original dumpling recipes are inherited by Peter from his Mother. However the couple has been collaborating with several other local chefs to create new dumpling recipes/combinations. The restaurant location is in northeast Minneapolis which is easily accessible by public transportation and driver services which is all I use. If you drive only on-street parking is available. I may never buy SDC's frozen dumplings again because I will never prepare them as well as they do here. read more

Visited 2/8/25. Saturday dumpling ready to sell you some flavorful and delicious dumplings in northeast! Located in the former glamdoll location, you should give yourself a bit of time beforehand to park (at the end one of my friends informed me they had a lot off of the restaurant but I had no idea so I just did street parking). When you enter you will pay in a kiosk which is super efficient but does lack a tiny bit of the charm of being able to ask people working about what they recommend-works okay for a lunch spot though and does make it more efficient. My two friends and I got the Hmong sausage special dumplings which were a collaboration between the wonderful Diane Moua (from Diane's place) and Saturday Dumpling co. They did ring in at about $17-18 or so for the six dumplings so definitely on the pricier side but they were delicious in the end. I also got the crispy sambal chicken scallion pancake burrito and one of my other friends got the veggie rice bowl. Overall we were all impressed with the flavors, especially in relation to the dumplings. I regret not getting extra sauce for my burrito so a note that I would add it on if ordering this. Overall, a lovely lunch and it was a fun stop. I feel like the thing that would keep me ordering or coming back are the unique monthly dumpling specials, otherwise if I lived in northeast I would add it into my lunch rotation. read more
