Of course, I had to come back to experience as a customer (again)! Parking was plentiful in the plaza. They were under construction, so there is caution tape leading up to the coffee shop. It was a quiet Monday morning when we had entered. I decided to order from their summer menu and had their Nightfall Cold Brew. My fiancé ordered a tonic! It didn't take long for them to make at all. Of course my coffee was wonderful! It was a strong cold brew with a strong coffee aroma, topped with a slightly sweet marshmallow cream and graham cracker crumbs. My partner liked his tonic, too! We truly visit for their great selection of beans, wonderful brews, excellent quality, and excellent service. Can't wait to be back again!

Ambiance/Environment: They have a large space with plenty of indoor seating. They have two rooms - one for studying and the other for social. It's very clean inside. Great spot to get some work done or even chill. They also sell their own beans! All merchandise are located in the main room! Service: The cashier that assisted us was nice and personable. Throughput was quick after ordering. Drinks: I decided to try their seasonal drinks for the summer, and my sister decided to try their stable drinks. 1) Bonfire Mocha - This mocha contains house made marshmallow syrup, cocoa powder, crush honey graham crackers, milk, and topped with a marshmallow cream top. It's definitely sweet with rich chocolate and marshmallow flavors. You can definitely taste all the ingredients described. I prefer the marshmallow cream top to be a bit thicker, considering it is marshmallow after all. 2) Chai Latte - My sister thought her drink was okay. Mind you, this is her first time trying chai lol. I took a sip of her drink, and the cinnamon and cardamom flavors were strong. It's a bit sweeter than I prefer, but it can always be adjusted. Pricing: A bit more than average. They offer rewards through Cash App. I'd visit once in a while to try their other drinks and pastries.

There's a set of steps with pillows on each step with a block of about six outlets beside them, and a really comfy, sinky couch (plus an ottoman and two comfy looking armchairs and a big table in the middle) with a set of two outlets on the wall and a star shaped power strip sticking out of the ground with six outlets coming out of it. There are also regular tables and it seems like there are outlets beside them as well. WIFI: The wifi is open (no password necessary), even though they have a password listed where you pick up your food (it's just Sanctuary Coffee). I tried to use one of the locked ones (the only one that made sense), but the wifi password didn't work, so I'm not sure why they have one listed. Regardless, albeit not the fastest wifi I've ever used, it's incredibly doable. I have been working remote here for 1.5 hrs and had almost no issues. MENU: For LA, relatively cheap. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so I got the peach Italian soda, which was yummy. I believe it was about $4.89, which is not bad at all. I went to And Destroy in the Highland Park-ish area, and I believe an Italian soda with cream (cream is free here) was maybe $7-8. I'm used to paying more for drinks because the specialty (non coffee and tea) drinks are usually pricey, but this was one of the cheapest things on the menu. Also, you can claim a free pastry with your email and first name on their website (it sends you a voucher, just show the email). I got the banana bread, which was fine. I would've gotten zucchini, but it wasn't chocolate chip zucchini. ATMOSPHERE: Not too loud, the music is nice and chill and not very loud. There's cute art on the walls and homey looking lamps. It's the quintessential living room coffee shop, perhaps even rivaling Republik Coffee in Burbank in comfiness, noise level, aesthetic, and price (which is a bummer, because I likely will never be back - we just happened to be in North Pomona today, and I have no idea when we'd ever elect to drive this far again LOL). PARKING: It's in a little strip mall, so there's an actual aboveground lot with plenty of free parking (at least I think it's free, I got dropped off so I didn't pay much attention). Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking to cowork in a cozy atmosphere for relatively cheap in the North Pomona area. It checks all of my boxes except distance from home. I hope this review helps someone, because I always try to find this information on Yelp about new places to visit and it can be very difficult to find! BATHROOM: I believe there are two single person bathrooms like not stalls just one bathroom. Cute art and aesthetic inside, there are hooks on the walls for your stuff. The air dryer was not very strong and there were no paper towels or seat covers, but other than that there was a nice faucet and cute nice soap like homey soap you'd see in someone's house, and the lock worked fine.

Kitchen is hidden and I felt like it was kind of a lot of waiting without seeing progress. I prefer to see the drinks being made (just personal preference). I'm not sure if they do pumps but when I asked for a passion fruit black tea, she said it only came as a green tea. I don't mind but I'm used to being able to hange the flavor:) it tastes fresh everything about it seems fresh, but I forgot to adjust sweetness and I wish I had! Hope to try again soon!

The flavor was a little flat and didn't have that rich, smooth matcha taste I usually look for. It is my first time ordering here, and I had questions about the milk, sugar level of the drink. The cashier was unfriendly while taking my order. When I saw that there was an unknown extra 83 cents charge on my order and asked about it, the two workers side eyed each other in front of me while looking annoyed. It made me feel awful, so I just ended up paying extra for the drinks. Once I got my drinks, I was met with a stare when I said thank you. After leaving the cafe, I realized that my drinks were made with more than half with ice (photo attached below). For the amount of drink I received, the extra charge on my drinks, and the attitude of the workers, I am extremely disappointed with my experience here at The Spot Cafe. We had parked on the numerous street parking spots in downtown Claremont. Luckily, it was a Tuesday morning and quite calm. Usually Claremont gets packed in the evenings, especially on a Friday. Upon walking in, you are greeted by lush greenery' the store has handfuls of pothos and other plants on every shelf and from the ceiling down. Towards the right side, there is also a wall of stickers for sale ($4 each). There was seating in the center and alongside the window. Very nice! We had stood in a line for only a few minutes. The cashier was very sweet and patient. I had ordered a bucket of donuts, a half dozen in a bag, and a fruity pebbles cold brew. We quickly munched on our half dozen donut holes and then received our drinks. We waited about five minutes for the bucket of donuts. The donut holes are everything you've hoped! They're warm, fluffy, and very fresh. I had chosen their cinnamon and sugar topping. The cashier let me know that they offer several other flavors. My cold brew had fruity pebbles topped upon it, but to my disappointment, I didn't really like it. I think I had imagined it to be a thicker, cream top but it wasn't. There was also some syrups on the bottom of the cup, which bore fruit flavors. Overall, I love the donuts and the coffee place itself. I think I just personally chose the wrong drink. Again, I've had their coffee before and I do like them. Nevertheless, I will be back soon for a different drink and more donuts!

I saw Chia Seed Pudding cups with fresh fruit toppings and ordered two to go. You can meet up with friends and grab a table inside or enjoy the outdoor tables in front or at the back entrance, which is kind of hidden and quieter than the buzz going on inside. it's a popular spot and there could be a waiting line, you may opt to place an order in advance on their website.
