We found a gem in the heart of downtown OCNJ! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and our server was wonderful! They have a breakfast menu and a lunch menu - both have great looking choices! Today we opted for breakfast. My wife loved her asparagus, mushroom, bacon and Gruyere omelet. She commented that asparagus can be overpowering in certain presentations, but in her omelet today it was a perfect ingredient. I agree! My pork roll and Gruyere omelet was so very delicious!! I'm pretty impressed by the fact that this place offers Gruyere on its menu, my absolute favorite of all cheeses I've tried! Her home fries were a cross between a French fry and a potato chip, not bad. My tots were great! (I've never met a tot I didn't like) Even the rye toast we both ordered was terrific, obviously made from really good quality bread. We can't wait to return! read more

Have heard about this place for a while and finally had the opportunity to try it. About a 15 min wait which wasn't bad as it was a gorgeous morning in OC. Sat at the counter. Everyone seemed friendly and welcoming. Food came out quick. We had lemon blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs with cheese and a fruit plate. Everything was very good. will add mine to the praises for this cute & clean breakfast spot. went to an estate sale in ocean city, and stopped into HOB on a busy Friday morning. We were able to grab a seat at the counter and our server was great. egg dishes are served with either silver dollar pancakes or toast & potatoes or fruit. I had a veggie scram with pancakes and my husband had eggs over easy with toast & potatoes and we shared the sides in order to get a bit of both. big mug of coffee and an ice water rounded it off to be a very good and reasonable breakfast. I come to Ocean City ever so often and I'm always sure to make sure I stop here. If they ever have a wait I recommend waiting for a spot because it is worth it. Every single time I have come here it's been out of the park with the food and friendly prompt service. there truly hasn't been anything I've gotten that I disliked. I highly recommend getting something off their specials menu also.I can attest that anything off the regular menu is going to be a home run, but anything off the specials menu is going to be out of this world. I've once ordered food to pick up and sometimes when you get things to go instead of in house the food can be soggy or anything else but that is never the case here, the food is still fresh and never soggy and homefries just as crispy. If I could give this place a 100 out of 100 I would give it 1000. read more

The BEST hands down BEST breakfast I have ever had! This cute restaurant is perfectly decorated and clean. It's coastal town charm carries through the whole building. The service is 100% perfect. All smiles all happy to help! My husband had the Brighton Omelet- this was amazing. The asparagus was perfectly cook it still had crunch. The cheese just made it! Beautiful bowl of fresh seasonal fruit. I had the Italian omelet- never had ricotta cheese in an omelet was so good perfect seasoning. Tasted like Italy! We shared an order of apple pancakes. My wife and I came here on a early Saturday morning in late August. We didn't didn't have to wait for a table. We were greeted by a super friendly and perky staff. The coffee was very good and came in their nice, large mug. We wanted to buy a mug but none were in stock. Big bummer. Our food came out quickly and was excellent: a strawberry waffle, a side order of bacon and the Open Face sandwich. My waffle was crispy and airy, served with an abundance of fresh, cut strawberries. My wife liked the fact that the Canadian bacon on her Open Face was thinly sliced and heated on the griddle first. We finished all of our food. Our server was friendly and attentive, and this is a testament to good training and a good working environment while also hiring people who are hard workers and happy to be there! No negatives, here. The place was bright, clean and fresh. My wife and I ate at the counter, which allowed us to see and interact with several of the wait staff. All seemed on top of their duties, energetic and friendly. The food was quick to arrive after we ordered. I had pancakes with bacon, and my wife had avocado naan bread. We both enjoyed our meals. We both had a large mug of coffee, which was refilled, as needed. We will definitely eat here again. All of the good reviews will draw people to this place. Ordered coffee, tea, and water. Ordered breakfast. Coffee and tea came. Water finally came with our food. Unfortunately - our breakfast had been sitting out long enough to get cold. Butter wouldn't melt, potatoes cold - simply not worth the calories. Located downtown Ocean City a favorite of locals and tourists. Located in the heart of the very picturesque downtown it was a gem. Just watch your step entering and exiting this fine establishment. There is raised lip in the enterywqy. The service was great! I got the Brighton Omelette filled with asparagus, bacon, mushrooms and Gruyère cheese with rye toast and home-fries ( which tasted like a cross between a potato chip and a French fry). The omelette and toast were fabulous. My husband ordered the pork roll and Gruyère omelette. Not to be biased but I really loved my choice. Jerry also got the tater tots that were great. We enjoyed our meals and left happy. Our waitress said that even off season it can get busy and they don't take reservations so the best thing to do is call 45 minutes in advance and get your name on the wait list. We ate here on a Monday when we were craving pancakes. We searched Yelp for "pancakes" and this place came up. The extensive list of all kinds of pancakes (with photos) drew us in. We made a reservation and were seated outside where it was comfy and not crowded. Our super nice waitress came over right away. My bf asked if they had real maple syrup and sure enough, the waitress pointed out that it was on the menu (for a small charge- I think $1.50 extra). Bf was super happy about that. Our coffees were delicious. We both ordered pancakes- I had the blueberry and bf had the banana with a ton of the real syrup and butter. Both our meals were awesome. This is the best breakfast spot in Ocean City! I love the variety they offer but my favorite is the vegetable scramble, it's full of great veggies with an option to add cheese. You also get an option for fresh fruit instead of the standard home fries- they home fries are also great, I just like to mix it up! They have a really great kids menu too, my kids enjoy the JJ breakfast which includes a mickey pancake, 1 egg and a breakfast meat. My husband also enjoys their scrapple and scrapple nuggets!
