Came here on the last day of the season because everything was 50% off. It was a great experience. All the food was delicious, as were the drinks. We even ordered some drinks to go and cake! The food was also super delicious, but I do wish my tuna bowl had a bit more flavor. I got bored with it after a bit. However, everything else was amazing. Keep in mind that the entire restaurant is basically outside so it can get chilly depending on the night. They do have heaters though! Staff was amazing as well! I'll be back next season :)

Last stop on our tour de Maine. We stayed in Ogunquit our last night and after hitting the beach, we grabbed late night eats on the patio at Hooks. It was a busy Sunday night, the restaurant was pretty full, but we were seated right away. We had a hard time deciding, but didn't want anything too heavy. I opted for tacos. Our server said 2 was the sweet spot, so that's what I ordered. One fish and one shrimp. She gave us a pro-tip, order the guacamole side, as it was a very generous portion (and she convinced hubs to get the side of chips with his meal - well played). My tacos were underwhelming. I ordered them street taco style, and they were minimal at best. My BFF ordered the beef & shrimp, and I missed out on the picked onions & other fillings. Hubs ordered a salad bowl, and the portion was generous, very filling, he only ate half. The side of chips helped us devour our sides of guacamole. The guac was good, but could have used more kick and a bit of salt (which was not on the table, and we didn't bother asking for). We enjoyed our meal and the laid-back casual atmosphere. We'd visit again if ever in the area, and we do hope to come back, as we fell in love with Ogunquit.

Lovely indoor-outdoor bar and grill, tons of seating in open air, covered patio area. Beautiful set up for lunch in a chill environment. Bar staff was extremely friendly, fun, and knowledgeable about the menu. Ask for Marcie, she's the best! Menu is a lovely selection of local fare and cooked to perfection. I ordered the Ahi tuna, pineapple salsa and guacamole. Tuna was beautifully blackened, lovely medium rare inside and packed with spice! The pineapple salsa was fresh, crispy, with bright flavors. The guac was chunky, delicious and could easily be eaten alone. Talk about a fantastic trio for lunch. Swing by, snag a chair at the bar and get ready for some delicious food.

Recently was in the Maine coastal area and ate at Hook's Chill & Grille which is very much up my alley... FRESH food and ingredients, very outdoors laid back Caribbean vibe. I was happy with the menu selections and grabbed myself a salmon bowl, while the person I was with grabbed a shrimp bowl! Very delicious and super fresh quality!! This is another place you might not stop if you didn't know it was there. It blends into the attached surf shop to its front so it's a hidden gem for sure!! They close this weekend for the season, so try them out if you're around until the 14th!! The coast and lakes region is closing... it's October!!! Our server was such a nice guy, very laid back but attentive!!! Definitely like this spot with a healthy approach to great tastes!!

Went again for our annual trip. Loved it as usual! Menu was a little different but we loved the changes. Vibe was great as always. Seated a table of us 6 people, in no time. We shopped next door until they texted me. Service was super as always.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Hooks! I've been here quite a few times with family. This is predominately an outdoor venue with the bar giving it a ceiling and half indoor. Hmm did I explain that correctly... I guess you just have to check it out. Some of the tables will accommodate larger group maybe 6 and then some smaller too. Certain days of week they have music too. DH and I ordered Build your own Trio $16 appetizer which is nacho chips and a choice of 3 cups of dips. We got roasted corn, salsa and guacamole. It was so good. Then I had Quesadilla with chicken, peppers, onions & cheese and it was grilled which made it very Yummy. $15 DH had Mojo Pork Sandwich pulled pork topped with slaw and pickled onion. Served on bun $12 2 Happy Hour Margarita's $5 each and Harpoon rec league beer $6 Next door to this restaurant (I think it's part of it) is a great clothing store has summer shirts, sandals summer clothing so before you leave check it out!

We started looking in January for the right place to host both events. Our son's wedding was at the Nonantum Resort (fantastic as well!) down the street in Kennebunkport. We called various places, in fairness some were closed in Jan/Feb but there was a limited response even from those places that remained open in the winter. Of those places that did respond, most were not very receptive or flexible and put little effort into making this special occasion "special". We went to Pedro's for lunch and met with their Manager, Jamie Lee Nelson, a breath of fresh air. Jamie Lee welcomed us and spent a good amount of time discussing how Pedro's could host both the rehearsal dinner (42 people) at their new function hall across the parking lot and the welcome party (~100) at the restaurant itself. Jamie Lee invited us back to the restaurant with our son and his fiancé on a Saturday evening in April and she hosted us to try different types of food and drinks Pedro's could offer for these events. She also introduced us to Pedro's owner Norm as well as the chef, both were equally excited to meet us and host our events. We felt completely comfortable choosing Pedro's for our rehearsal dinner and welcome party, our son and his fiancé were thrilled. Both rehearsal dinner and welcome party were exceptional, Jamie Lee oversaw everything. The food was fantastic, the price was more than reasonable and everyone commented how exception both events were. I think the most important part was having complete confidence leading up to our special day that we would have a memorable event, which we absolutely did. Thank you Jamie Lee and the rest of the team at Pedro's, A+.

I ordered a rice bowl, and about 5 percent of the dish was rice, 5 percent was other stuff (Including Avacado that was hard as a rock) and 90 percent was lettuce that didn't seem to have been washed thoroughly. as the for atmosphere, it was very religious and i didn't find it inclusive that no matter your background a Jesus Christ statue was watching you eat your meal. unfortunately I will not be going back.
