Great burger and cold beer. Bartender was amazing. Loved the vibe of the place. I will be returning.

Pleasantly surprised by how good this burger was. The patio of this place is beautiful, specially now that it's nice outside. Bartender was great, super nice and fast with the orders.

I've been here a few times for after work happy hours. They have awesomely priced drinks and above average bar food. All of the bar staff I've interacted with have been prompt, friendly and accommodating. They also have cool eclectic historical photos and maps as decor.

This is one of those iconic Cleveland joints that I have driven by for the past 3 years without ever stopping but had a strong need to go have a drink there. I was at the Foundry for an event and knew that I just HAD to finally go. Best part was that we found out it was taco tuesday! Score! The tacos are 2 for $3 and the speciality tacos are 2 for $6. The speciality tacos this night were a bbq pulled pork with slaw and homemade tortilla strips on top. This taco was absolutely delicious! My sister and I split the tacos so I tried their beef and she tried their chicken one and we both loved our choices. We sat inside since we arrived later at night but I will be back to eat more delicious food and enjoy a drink on the patio.

This place checks off a lot of boxes for me...great views, comfortable bar with interesting beer choices and solid burgers. What more could you ask for in a divey little bar near the Flats? My wife and I needed a spot close to downtown to grab a quick bite before our show. Been wanting to try their burgers for some time, and when Dr. J. said she was in the mood for a burger, this place became the obvious choice (to try something new). We ordered two burgers (which we would split), a house salad with bleu cheese to share and a couple of Irish Ales. We sat up at the main bar with a picture-perfect view of dusk falling over the city skyline. Perfect! The burgers were ordered medium, and although they were probably cooked closer to medium-well they stayed pretty juicy and tasty. We had the Hoopple burger (with "special sauce") and a regular cheeseburger...each came with a side of fries. To tell you the truth, neither one of us was really jiving on the Hoopple burger, but man were we wrong! The combination of grilled salami and ham under a blanket of melted Provolone cheese and their special Hoopple sauce was a real winner! The fries were thin, shoestring style and tasted great dipped in that leftover sauce used on the burger. We went "European" and ate the hot food first and finished off the meal by eating the salad. It was a loaded plate filled with a variety of veggies and a decent bleu cheese dressing (we had to order extra). A very satisfying meal, and burgers that hold up pretty well with some of the better ones we've had around the Cleveland area. Give this place a try, an unexpected find!!!

By chance stopped in on a taco Tuesday after a rowing event down the street. And I'm glad we did because the chicken, beef and specialty pull pork tacos were all delicious and priced well. Got a good seat at the bar with an awesome view of downtown. I wish the selection of beer was a little more creative with all the local breweries around, but in the end this is a dive bar and it's good.

You could at least put 3 more projectors on that biotch.

Hooples illustrates the fact that we haven't evolved much from the cavemen. We're all just sitting around marveling at the shadow puppets illuminated on the cave walls. The only reason to ever come here is to sit outside and watch a game on the projector on the bridge. Like cavemen, you too will be enthralled by the motion pictures on the flippin wall. Maybe watching the game will make you forget about the fact that everything else here gets a 10 out of 10 in the junk in yo mother's trunk scale. The location is amazing and the patio is amazing, but everything else here is beyond divey. Not sayin any things wrong with divey, but let's get real this place is kind of gross no matter what, and could be so cool. Great view of the city, and right next to downtown make this such an underachieving place. But yeah, great place to watch a game outside (and show up a little early to snag a seat) or don't waste your time coming here at all.

    Hooples!

This place feels like it has withstood the test of time; buried in the bowels of the city. The views of our fair city from the picture windows behind the bar are outstanding, especially when there is traffic on the Cuyahoga. Recently, the owners installed 5 new taps, including 2 great IPA's (Bells & DogFish). The food has been taken up a notch as well with a larger kitchen providing some of the best spicy Garlic wings - juicy, crispy, meaty, finger-lickin-bone-suckin goodness + great fresh cut fries! They've got burgers and sandwiches, but I was content eating wings. On game nights, the patio provides the best seats as a large image is projected onto the pillars of the bridge overhead. They have a bowling machine inside and the whole place has that nicely worn, warm feeling.

The Rowley Inn is located in a nice neighborhood (Tremont) across the street from the Christmas Story house. I had three meals there. The first, loaded pierogis, was the ultimate comfort dish. Pierogis with potato centers were covered in diced kielbasa, bacon (yes, bacon), and covered in cheddar cheese. Ahhhhh. The others at my table raved about the kielbasa and pierogi dish. They also liked the beer selection. How do you know you have a great find? You think about the meal long after it is consumed. Next meal- breakfast. I had the kielbasa and pierogi omelet. Need I say more? Finally, we came back a third time and I ordered the burger. No burger place (save Chuckbox in Tempe, AZ) can match the Rowley burger. The burger is actually seasoned and cooked to order. I had it medium rare. Sheer perfection. Typing this review makes me sad because I live far away from Cleveland. If you are in The Land, you must drop everything you are doing to get to the Rowley Inn. It is a 8 minute drive from downtown.

A waitress came to take her order, but she was not very friendly and then it took forever to get our food. We only got two entrées to share between the three of us because we wanted to try to see what the fuss was about at this place. What we ate was decent, but honestly nothing that stuck with us enough to say- COME HERE! We definitely didn't understand all the good reviews when our food finally came out. They didn't even come out together and our second plate was wrong when it finally arrived so it had to get redone. So the service really got to us especially since there were only 2 other tables being waited on and a couple stragglers sitting at the bar. Parking is street parking in a neighborhood! So it can be hard during the day but we lucked out that evening.

Off the top maybe 5-6 tables and a bar that holds 10-12 people if I was guessing. Multiple TVs playing all sports. Keno, Jukebox also available. Nice neighborhood bar. Staff were very friendly even though they were busy. As for the food, I ordered mozzarella sticks, a hot Italian sub with tater tots. The cheese sticks were bad. Tiny, lukewarm and not much flavoring. Marinara dipping sauce was bland as well. Now for the sub. Unreal Italian Sub. The tots were crispy and salted. The sub was AMAZING... repeat AMAZING. Served with Italian dressing, on a toasted roll. Banana peppers, onion, tomato, with multiple meats and cheeses. Definitely a bar favorite as I saw many people eating the same dish. It's worth a visit or a try if you're in the area. The big positive of this place was the prices. $2.50 a beer and $10 for that sub. My tab was low so that's always a good thing. I would go back to this place however it might be tough sometimes if the bar gets pizza. In the plaza it sits next to a pizza place that I was told you can order the pizza from the bar and they have a window to slide the food through. I didn't try the pizza so I won't review that place. Overall, a 7.1 out of 10 with everything included.

I would also like to say that I am very impressed by how vegan forward Cleveland is. Idk why I wasn't expecting it. I doni't even feel like I experience this shit in NY but maybe I am not going to the right places. Anyways, we sat at the bar and went to work ordering our beverages. It was early enough that I could benefit from more caffeine so I was pleased to see a coffee-esque cocktail with vodka. GF ordered the sangria. I embarrassed myself a lil by assuming the three pierogi could be mix and match which they cannot. We wanted the classic potato and cheese but also wanted to try one of the vegan ones so went with the sweet potato and black bean. I was further thrown for a loop when I was asked what sauces I want. Oh my god there are sauces to choose from?!? Did I even read the menu? The bartender threw out some options I couldn't argue with: sriracha something creamy maybe sour cream or mayo? and French onion which was intriguing. Both were SO good. The pierogi were also spectacular. They were HUGE and the filling was to die. Diamond in the rough.
