I'm not ashamed to admit that I absolutely love Hooters. Yes, they are a little hit or miss, but when they are good they are REALLY good. Yes, I know they're a chain and there's a certain joke about why people go there, but I swear the wings and food are actually pretty good! The servers are always super friendly and the food comes out fast and fresh, and that's always appreciated. Their boneless wings with the Samurai Teriyaki are my favorite (you can get them bone-in, I just prefer them boneless and less messy). You absolutely have to get a side of their ranch to dip your wings, curly fries, and anything else in. Speaking of the curly fries, they are also one of our fave sides to get, but with their cheese sauce for dipping, too, not just ranch. You can also get some cheesy goodness with their chips and queso appetizer. It's not the same cheese you'll get with the curly fries and my husband said the queso is too spicy, but I didn't mind it. I also love to get their fried pickles as a starter, which is my go-to anywhere that serves them. Hooters' are lightly breaded and so tasty - not super crunchy with the breading falling off like other places I've had them! My husband usually gets the dry rubs on his roasted wings, but he said on our last visit the Chesapeake Rub was way too salty and almost inedible. They have a few desserts, and our favorite is the Chocolate Mousse Cake. Fluffy chocolate mousse between three layers of dense chocolate cake. It's so rich that it's definitely one to share. If you're in the area (we usually go when we're seeing a movie at the AMC in Council Bluffs), definitely give this Hooters a try and you may find a new regular wing spot. read more

My wife doesn't approve me coming here but Hooters was my only option tonight since I was staying nearby. This place wasn't the cleanest from the moment I entered but the staff was friendly. I had a simple meal of wings, fries and maybe a few drinks. Overall, I left feeling satisfied since the food was cooked well. Margaritas were really good, though I'm not a fan of all their prices going up. This place is more on the quieter end of the spectrum too so it's not too busy or loud when I arrived. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back for a casual visit in the near future. read more

First time at Hooters in years! Went in after attending the OCon convention. Waitress was nice and we got seated quickly. For some reason, I opted for the chicken tender sandwich. Probably the worst managed restaurant I have been too. My son and I were in there with people and we got wings. He ate about half and found a white hair on the food. He has red hair and I have brown. We told the waitress and she went to the manager. The manager never came over to us at all and the waitress said the manager said we could have a small discount. Came to Omaha/council bluffs for a cheer competition and while I've been here I still haven't received my food. The waitress did not want to take my order. She said the kitchen messed up my order and after they bought my food it was cooked in old grease. My entire party of 6 had food and I did not. Our waitress never came back to our table. I had to speak when 2 other waitresses and finally I had to get up to speak with a manager. He apologized for his server however the server did not put my order in and once I got it the food was not edible. We have always loved the Hooters in Council Bluffs so this came as a disappointment. Food was ok because it sat in window for 7 minutes. Yes I timed it. The server/bartender was more interested in sitting at a table eating and on her phone than serving us. We had to tell her when we wanted more drinks. Every time we had to get her from the table to get us drinks. I asked her for another drink and she added it to our ticket but then went and sat down. I had to ask another server to get my drink. My first time eating at hooters was a good experience I can say I have ate at a Hooters 3 times now. The food is great also you can't beat the drinks. And I love its kid friendly as well. Hmmm, was it closed Christmas Day, or closed at 8 AM? In my home town a similar thing happened. A restaurant was getting about 6 glowing reviews a month. Yelp contacts them to pay and they refused. Suddenly about 12 horrible reviews show up within a week. ??? Don't trust Yelp! Now to this Hooters, the service was fantastic, the food was great and served smoking hot! As well as, the prices were fairly reasonable. The only minor complaint I had was that they added an extraordinary amount of barbecue sauce to the burger. So disappointed lately. I love Hooters. The wings are amazing typically. But the last few times I have ordered from here its been sub-par at best. My last order was Tuesday. I ordered 10 breaded hot wings, all flats, extra wet. An order of curly fries, and cheese sauce. The wings were still dry in places (they'd barely been coated let alone "extra" wet). They also tasted...off. I'm used to a buttery hot sauce and hot chicken. The chicken was luke-warm, and in combination with the sauce and breading just made them seem like I'd bought a bag of frozen wings and heated them up in the microwave. It just wasn't what I expected from a restaurant--more like the frozen food aisle. The fries were good. The cheese sauce was bordering on rancid however and had wayyyy too many tomatoes in it. I got more tomato than cheese. Overall I'm starting to get really disappointed with Hooters. I may have to find a new wing favorite and that makes me sad. read more

Whoof. Where to start. Certainly one of the strangest dining experiences anyone has ever had. Walked in, waited a few minutes to be seated. Nobody seemed to notice us, so we found the only TV with the Creighton game on and sat at a table. Fifteen minutes later we were waited on, after our waitress made it clear she was purposely ignoring our group of three. We thought about going back up to the entrance and restarting the process as an olive branch offering. Ordered a pitcher of beer, had to wait another 10 minutes for that. We were waiting on our buddy to show up before ordering food, and this really seemed to put off Allie. At 8:45, we placed three orders of wings. And then the marathon really began. Over the next hour, our waitress stopped twice, telling us the food would be out soon. We were sipping on beer and watching hoops, so no big deal. Worse ways to spend an hour. At 9:50, the wings came out. Fresh off the heating lamp. Cold on the inside and tossed on our table without a word. Fifteen minutes later, our waitress came back around and asked how the food was in a way that hinted she already knew the answer to that question. Not great, I said. Why? She asked.
