I don't mind a trip to Village Inn. There, I said it. The service can be a little slow and the crowd can be a bit iffy, but honestly that just adds to the charm. What keeps me coming back is the consistency. I can get the soup and sandwich combo whenever I want, plus the lemon supreme pie. I truly don't think there is a more elite chain restaurant pie out there. Judge away. read more

My husband and I stopped in on the evening of 11/2/2024. We were greeted and sat very quickly. I did not the greeter's name, but she was very friendly and positive. Our server, Nikki, came to our table quickly. She was super friendly and very helpful in explaining some of the menu options. The food came out amazing. Fresh, hot and just perfect. Nikki checked on us just the right of times. You know not too little, but not too much either. Her personality is just spectacular. She's a wonderful person and clearly an asset to this Village Inn. The restaurant itself was very clean and an inviting space. The restroom was also very clean. Overall a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back. My family was in for Dinner a week ago Connie was our server she was very pleasant, the food was great service was great. We will be back.

First I asked to be seated in a booth but we were seated at a chair table booth,easy to tell the waitress didn't want to be there and when the food came my girlfriend food was wrong and my denver omelet had very little veggies and meat and there must be a potato shortage not enough to feed a bird.. don't think they will be our first choice next time we dine out. As far as this instance of the franchise is concerned, this one is solid - COVID-19 notwithstanding. They had their social distancing policy in full effect and kept us far away from others. The food was decent as always and the service was solid if not overly friendly. Though I have to admit they gave us a free piece of pie since it was late and we had trouble deciding between three. Atmosphere - Looks like they recently replaced the carpets. I think some of the chair at the tables could have been replaced, they are pretty banged up. Otherwise the place was clean for my early morning visit. Food Drink - Black coffee, and I received a carafe of coffee too. No waiting on my waitress for more. Breakfast - Biscuits and gravy is one of my favorite things for breakfast. Bonus points for the sausage patties, which made sandwiches with the biscuits. The hash browns were a letdown for me. I would have liked them a little more on the crispy side. Service - Seated promptly by my waitress. The place was empty other than two regulars sitting together. I heard a few takeout orders placed while there. Another takeout order was being placed while I was trying to settle my bill with the hostess. Future - Probably be back. read more

The setting was very nice! Liked a couple signs on the wall, they were cute. There was a short in staffing, there was only 2 waitresses and the others were LATE. It took about an hour and a half to 2 hours for us to get our food, when we received the food, mine was okay, and another person of our groups food was fine, but the 3rd person of the group had gotten a raw chicken fried steak, the waitress took it back and brought another but that shouldn't have happened in the first place. They staff there didn't seem very welcoming and it was very cold inside of the restaurant. The bathroom was disgusting, all of them were full of something and we're not clean at all. read more

I was a little skeptical about trying Village Inn for my first time, but it was actually an OK experience. We dined late night (11pm) and the joint was actually pretty busy! It seemed like it was full of high schoolers dining after their spring formal so that added to the lively atmosphere in there. Nice staff, clean tables, and breakfast at 11pm..why not? I will stay the service was little slow before we put our order in, but the food came out VERY quickly. We decided to try the chicken fried steak and it did not disappoint. Waited 30 min to be sitted and then over an hour to receive our food. The food tasted okay.

I went to this Village Inn last Friday with my mom. We walked in and were seated in a nicely clean booth. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the Strawberry Banana French Toast. It really was delicious. My only gripe is that on a few of the pieces of French Toast, it was burned a tad, which obviously tasted bitter and ruined those bites for me. Fortunately, it was only on a small amount of the toast. I attached a pic of this. I attached a photo of the ceiling and this Village Inn seems to have some water damage in the ceiling tiles and it definitely needs to be remodeled. My mom and I stood up, and stood in line to pay at the front register and we must have waited a good 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge the growing line of people waiting to pay. All in all the food was pretty good, the serving staff was great, but it seemed there was no organization of who needed to do what, (who needed to be at the register to pay?). read more

I'm not the type of person to complain or even leave a review at all, but this service was so bad I have to. The two of us waited for over an hour for some eggs and toast. All the other tables around us were getting their food before us when we were sat way before them. The lady at the other table even said herself that it was ridiculous and she was about to say something. We got our food right after that by the manager, so I told him we had to wait for quite awhile. He apologized but that was it. The waitress herself never even apologized or checked on us very often. The customer service was just horrible and the food was below average and not filling. Definitely won't be coming back here! Didn't take a discount off our food and even charged an extra 79 cents for cheese on top of hash browns. Lol. I'm just in disbelief of what we just experienced! Well let's say the food was very good and the service terrible. We were the only people in the restaurant most of the time at about 10:30 on a Tuesday night. Our waitress pleasant enough brought out luke warm and very strong coffee. She offered to make a new pot when we brought it to her attention. However, it never arrived til more than half way though our meal and when I asked she said oh I forgot! Still it did not come and my husband went to hunt for her and she made some comment about "it takes a while to brew you know!" When it did come she brought the coffee but no cup (the one we had was filled with cold coffee). Then she came back with a new cup after having some sort of several minute chit chat in the kitchen (we could hear her talking). I also ordered ham and she brought chicken fried steak with gravy. I told her it didn't look like ham or taste like ham but she insisted it was. Then she went and asked the cook and he or she said it was his or her fault or so she told us... But when the bill came she had put it in as chicken fried steak. The milk I ordered never came and she did not offer to make any of this right on our bill. She did offer to take it back if I wanted something else towards the end of the meal when she was convinced by both me and the cook that it wasn't ham...too late by then. As we are sitting there she was setting up tables for the next day within easy ear shot and had a conversation with another waitress about how everyone was always picking on her. It was just one thing after another. Thankfully what we did order and get was good... especially the French toast and eggs. We told the Asst. Manager about it and he took off the items we had not received. He said our waitress had had a couple of rough customers before us... Maybe the customers were not rough but the waitress was. Need to train and hold your staff accountable. Low score on customer service... Very good score on food! If you can stand the service and you get what you ordered you'll most likely think the food is good! read more

Cozy little restaurant right off Broadway - love that they serve breakfast all day! I was a little overwhelmed with the number of dish choices on the menu and just ended up doing the Village Inn make-your-own-breakfast special which was about average. Food is good. But my last visit I was there with my daughter and grandson and we had a weird encounter with a waitress there. I'm not going to mention her name and I won't go into detail about it since I addressed it with management and it has nothing to do with the resteraunt overall. Toni and Susan in the morning are awesome. They always go above and beyond. My boyfriend hurt his ankle earlier in the morning before we went in and Susan got him a bag of ice and made sure he was OK. The extra care that she took really made our experience great. read more
