We started at 3 stars since it was clean and we were quick to be seated. We boosted it up to a four-star because of the efficient service. We went up to five because the food was piping hot and delicious! And it's also very budget friendly.!!!!!!!!!!!

August 12, 2019 Monday - 7 AM for breakfast One Adult Atmosphere - 4 stars Food - 4 star Service - 4 star Background - One of the few breakfast places I could find via Yelp that was near my hotel. Atmosphere - Looks like they recently replaced the carpets. I think some of the chair at the tables could have been replaced, they are pretty banged up. Otherwise the place was clean for my early morning visit. Food Drink - Black coffee, and I received a carafe of coffee too. No waiting on my waitress for more. Breakfast - Biscuits and gravy is one of my favorite things for breakfast. Bonus points for the sausage patties, which made sandwiches with the biscuits. The hash browns were a letdown for me. I would have liked them a little more on the crispy side. Service - Seated promptly by my waitress. The place was empty other than two regulars sitting together. I heard a few takeout orders placed while there. Another takeout order was being placed while I was trying to settle my bill with the hostess. Future - Probably be back.

I was a little skeptical about trying Village Inn for my first time, but it was actually an OK experience. We dined late night (11pm) and the joint was actually pretty busy! It seemed like it was full of high schoolers dining after their spring formal so that added to the lively atmosphere in there. Nice staff, clean tables, and breakfast at 11pm..why not? I will stay the service was little slow before we put our order in, but the food came out VERY quickly. We decided to try the chicken fried steak and it did not disappoint. Perfect crunch, yummy gravy, and not too salty! I was sure one of those things were going to be screwed up so they proved me wrong. Your average diner experience.

The strawberry and banana French toast. Yum!

Great service and you can see some updates they have done. Fresh paint on the entryway walls and pillars to name a few.

Loved this place!…read more Omaha was such a surprising place for its range of high quality food. Memoir was only a few blocks away from our Moxy Hotel. We were able make a reservation on Open Table. Food (5/5): We had some wonderful food here. We had the following: TSUNAMI MAKI inside * shrimp tempura, crab mix, cream cheese / outside * crab stick tempura, spicy honey mustard, sweet soy, sesame seeds (8 pcs) WAGYU MEMOIR DIP* - smoked shaved beef, crescenza cheese, horseradish aioli, french bread, fries or simple salad Both were really delicious. For some reason, I missed the the "dip" was a "French dip sandwich" - I thought tit was actually a dip (haha). We split the sandwich as it was huge, and then ended up ditching the bread and adding the beef to the fried rice, below. BEEF FAT FRIED RICE - egg, snow peas, carrot, scallion Service (5/5): Server was kind and efficient. Ambiance (5/5): Cool, modern and upscale vibe. We had a cool corner booth. Loved the atmosphere.

The server was great and even gave us great recommendations for beverages in the Old Market area. Beautiful furniture and an elegant feel to Memoir, making it a great "special occasion meal" location. I've been here a couple times and couldn't recommend the potato puffs appetizer enough. The fluffy and crunchy potato served with cheese that perfectly coats the puff. Delightful. The eggs Benedict was very uniquely blended together by the pickled onion and avocado, no meat, which is a neat take on eggs Benedict. Well seasoned hollandaise sauce with a perfectly poached egg. For the mocktail drinkers like myself, they have three options to choose from. One jalapeño & pineapple, a guava orange, and one other. They pay close attention to detail, from laying the plates with the name "Memoir" facing you, to cooking your meal to near perfection. They even give the birthday person a card signed by the staff, alongside a complimentary dessert.

I don't want to sound like an over entitled west coast food snob, but I'm afraid if I typed that it's already too late- but, I've been to the Bagel Bin, I've been to Brueger's (sp?) and I've tried a lot of bagels around Omaha and nothing was quite what I could find at home or in other metro areas, then my daughter introduced me to Know Good and I'm hooked. So delicious. The bagels are bagel-y not bready, the coffee is craft, the dining area is clean and simple, I can see the kitchen which is spotless- this is not just a good bagel shop for Omaha, this is a bagel shop that rivals just about anything I've been to anywhere. (Slight caveat, the lox is not comparable to the lox in NYC, but I don't think that really exists anywhere. Yes, I know, more coastal elite pretentiousness on my part, I'm sorry.) Staff were professional, not overly chatty, but that's not what we were looking for- they knew the menu, had suggestions, were pleasant. Seriously, the last time I was in town I stayed for a week and I came here three times, that's about the highest praise I can give.

I actually fell in love with their Grand Cru back in 2007. It used to be a must-visit spot whenever I was passing through Omaha. Truth be told this latest visit felt a bit sad. The place just seems tired these days. The beers were okay but nothing really stood out on the creative side. They did have that Space Monkey Biermosa on the board but it just did not sound appealing to me. The food was decent enough. I ordered the jambalaya and it was pretty good. It had some nice subtle heat and the shrimp were cooked well. My wife went with the Mediterranean chicken but it was a bit of a letdown. It was dry and frankly quite bland. My son had the Blonde pizza and he did not have any complaints about his choice. I really hope they find some new fire soon. It feels like things are trending in the wrong direction every time I stop by. On the bright side our waiter with the red hair was an absolute rockstar. He provided great service and was definitely the highlight of the night. I wish I had remembered his name. We will see if we stop by next time we are on the road.

Most of the highlight was the various types of burgers and fries they had, so my partner and I got two kinds, and we both enjoyed our respective meals. I had the block burger, which was as good as I imagined it to be, with juicy patty cooked to medium and every ingredient needed to make a good burger. The poutine had a lot of beef gravy and cheese curds, which made the dish a comprehensive experience to consume, rather than just fries. The duck duck goose fries were amazing! The duck confit, cheese curds, mayo, gravy, and gooseberry gastrique combination worked super well on top of the fries, because they altogether basically made it a gourmet dish that I had to eat with a fork. Finally, the sloppy nick was seasoned very well, even if we got the vegan version, which used impossible meat instead of ground beef. It was still really great! Hope everyone who visits Omaha gets to try this spot! Their wall has quite a few articles that recognized them as a locally renowned burger joint, and I could see why. Since they can be busy, I would recommend people getting there earlier to secure a good table spot, if dining in.
