Apparently, the post COVID plan isn't working out. I walked in and waited to be greeted, asked for a table, she said she'd be right back and left me standing for 10 minutes and even walked by me a few times. We were seated immediately, about ten minutes later our server Tatyana (I believe, she had Bailey on her name tag) and took our order. We had an AWFUL experience!!!! It took about 30 minutes for us to even get sat. We got ignored by many waitresses as we stood at the door. Finally we got brought to our table. As we were sitting there for 40 min!! waiting for a waitress to notice us we started getting dripped on by the ceiling. Finally we found a waitress and asked if we could move tables and she kept making excuses. Finally we got moved to a new table and a new waitress. Our table was dirty and we had to clean our own table!!! The waitresses and kitchen staff were on their phones and people that got there after us got their meal before we even got our appetizer!! Stuff was floating in my husbands water, some of the waitresses were rude.... We ordered the appetizer and sat there 40 minutes and still didn't get our appetizer. Food and service have always been amazing here. Today, we had to wait a bit longer than normal for whatever reason. Our waitress Sarah kept coming by to check on us and to apologize for the delay in bringing the food out...she came back a final time and said that our meal would be free and again apologized. Here's the thing: it didn't even seem like that big of a delay, so for them to comp our meal without us even complaining, or asking to be compensated, is excellent customer service. I am only leaving two stars because the food was delicious, and the manager was helpful. But the service was the worst. We sat at a table for 20 minutes before being greeted. Another 20 minutes before the manager brought over my beer that had been sitting there for awhile. When she noticed I had my beer she came over and asked my family what they wanted for sodas again. And then it all went downhill from there. She barely paid attention to us, and forgot anything we asked her for. We got our appetizer when we were all finished with our meals, which is only because the manager made sure we at least got it. She also seemed to be training a new server, which I would think you would want to make sure all new hires knew to take care of their tables first and any side work and/or gossiping last. When I paid the bill, she said "hopefully next time you come we won't be as busy". We were there for TWO HOURS from the time we sat down to leaving. The whole time my family and I looked around for her, we counted the tables in there. There were never more than 5 tables at a time. It was not busy. The bartender sat and played uno with a customer. Love the food at Hooters---usually! This time, I ordered a simple Caesar salad. I was lucky enough to get the white, inner core of the lettuce. And the chicken was less than a full serving. On top of that, the service was absolutely horrible! The servers are more concerned with congregating in the corner with each other. We asked for a fork and had it basically thrown at us. Asked for a couple knives and one looked like it had come from the pile needing to be washed. Wings and a salad should not take 30 minutes to be served. This place is a joke. This is the first time I've been back since 2015 & nothing has changed. First we got sat down, took a fare amount of time for the waitress to ask if we wanted anything to drink. The waitress said to us a few times sorry about the wait as we watched everyone else get their food, including people who showed up after us. I asked after 2 hours of waiting for them to just cash us out & we'd go somewhere else, again I was reassured the food would come soon. So we waited some more. Finally after 2 1/2 hours my son's food shows up 10 wings at a time, that's right not all together like it normally should. And we waited some more. I told our waitress I was not going to pay full price because of our wait. My husband and I have been here several times, it is a favorite of ours. Service is always great, never had a problem and the food normally is too. We ordered deep fried pickles and 10 traditional wings: half garlic parmesaen and half Daytona Beach. ..the garlic parmesaen were for me and I will never order them again. There was literally a pool of grease under them and when I picked the first one up, you could see grease dripping off of it. We are big regulars on the road at hootersrestaurants. We yelp to find the closest ones on our stops. The quality of food was average compared to others. The service was not very good. Caitlin forgot things even after we reminded her the 2nd time. I asked her about what their best whiskey behind the bar was and she gave me a smart ass answer to where all 8 of us looked at eachother in the awkward silence kind of way. Either or, the manager came over to see how our night was and "Ashley" started helping and that was a nice change. We started asking her for help instead of Caitlin. Either way , we won't let a minor ruin our dinner or Friday night. We would go back for sure, but make sure we didn't have her table. All good. I decided to give Hooters a try because I had a coupon. My boyfriend and I were seated right away by a lovely young woman, but waited for over 40 minutes for the wings we ordered. A manager stopped by after we got our food and explained rather rudely that everyone was told there would be a 35 minute wait on food (we were not informed of this). From the time we were served until we finished eating (at least 30 minutes), no one checked up on us. However, the manager did have time to argue with our server in front of us about whatever. Two words describe this restaurant GOOD FOOD. Tonight some friends and I visited the local Hooter's here in Council Bluffs, Iowa. We sat at the bar and could smell all the food coming from the kitchen area. In the menu, there were so many choices it was difficult to decide what you wanted to eat. My friends decided to go with the fried pickles and then shrimp tacos. I on the other hand was not as adventurous, so I ordered breaded wings with a mild buttery coating. All items were prepared to order and served very promptly. All food items were hot and tasty. The amount of food that you are given is very ample and the price was fair for what you received. We all had adult drinks and the bartender did not skimp on the liquor! All of the staff were friendly. I would recommend this business to anyone who wants a place to relax and even take the family. read more

They were busy but not packed. There were empty tables but we didn't worry. We went to the bar, which was packed. We ordered beers and it took 10 minutes to get our brews. 30 minutes goes by and we still haven't been seated. We were getting a little upset and I asked the hostess who greeted us, hey are we waiting another 20? She informed me she did not know because she had been cut and that she hadn't seated anyone in 40 minutes!! I said that was us!! She said that they stopped seating people because the kitchen could not keep up with the orders. We got pissed because we were starving and NOBODY chose to inform us! They did finally tell us we could sit at a table and after 5 minutes passed a waitress came over and said we couldn't order food still so we ordered beers..... 15 minutes later.... And over an hour total, we still did not have our drinks and we still haven't gotten anything to eat. We left and went to Twin Peaks, which is incredible, especially compared to this shit show!
