So, I went to @hooters and Ordered 20 wings double dipped and 20 buffalo Shrimp the same way. This is the greasy nasty grit from the bottom of the fryer that was in my food, which has never been on the food when I've dined in. So I called and spoke with the manager and explained the fudge up with my food, I also explained to her that I did take a video as proof to show her. She said ok, so I was in the area the following day and stopped by and talk to the male manager. I showed him the video he's also said yeah, that's not suppose to look like that. He stated that he would put my name on the list so that I can get the 20 wings replaced. So ai show up today and that manager (Spencer) doesn't work there anymore and he didn't put my name in there system. So, the manager (Pauly) refused to honor the credit because Spencer doesn't work there anymore, even after I showed him the video. And to top it off the food was COLD and when it was brought up to manager attention he didn't even bother to apologize he would just look at us !!! 10-31-15, After writing my previous review about this Hooters, I received an email message from the store manager. She explained that they still carry bottled craft beer, but the menus were not available. So I re-visited the store again and sure enough they now have new beer menus. That being said, they still don't have the well rounded selection they once had. But they have bottles craft beer nonetheless. My recommendation to management of this store is to get the whole menu reprinting thing done before you dispose of the existing menus. And, educate your servers through the transition. My 3 star review is based on their new selection of bottled craft beer only. read more

Very clean restaurant, very good service. As a service industry employee myself, our table was a bit needy and our server handled it with a smile and never got impatient even when I think she had a right too haha. All of our food came out hot and exactly what we ordered. Draft beer was ice cold. Typical Hooters, my experience was 100% satisfaction. We come here for the wings and they (typically) never disappoint. These were a tad on the dry side however, definitely could have used more sauce. We asked for extra sauce and I was disappointed to learn I was charged for that when the bill came around. You didn't put enough on so now I have to pay extra for something you failed to do? As well as the ranch dressing and celery. I mean, c'mon. These are the things that typically are included with wings. I'm surprised I wasn't charged for my ice water. Seriously though. What makes ranch dressing so special? There's ketchup on the table. I don't see a charge for that. I've also noticed the prices have increased as well. Now paying nearly $1 per wing. The carryout sucks here. When I dine in at the bar, my experience is usually good, totally opposite from when I carryout. Carryout has seriously disappointed me on two separate occasions. The first disappointment I ordered wings for the first NFL game of the season. I timed it so I could be back home with the wings for kickoff. Unfortunate for me, Hooters jacked up the entire order. Instead of having my order ready when I got there, Hooters had to start a new one while I stood there and waited. By the time I got home with my wings, the game was in the second quarter. The second carryout disappointment came this past Friday, December 12th. When I arrived to pick up my order, they couldn't find it. Why? Because they put it under the wrong name, ("Pink" instead of "Kate") which took the manager forever to find. I ordered fries and ten wings. The fries were hard and cold; the wings were dried out and overcooked. I live only 10 minutes from Hooters. Food does NOT get that cold that quickly. Nothing was edible. Well I tried to hold off on this review for a while, but I guess it's well deserved. I'm currently writing this message while I'm on hold with them. I went here once, I'm guessing on shift change. The waitress served our drinks than didn't return for a whole twenty minutes to let us know a new waitress will be taking care of us because her shift is done. Another time i asked for water and it tasted horribly, I let her know she told me she can't do anything about it. That's how Joliet water taste, I asked her if there was any other kind of water and that I would pay. She said no, I will be attaching a screen shot to show that I been on hold this long just to place an order. I get they get busy but at this point I feel forgotten. I had a $25.00 gift card burning a hole in my pocket and nothing better to do. I am not a big Hooters fan but I tried to be fair here; the biggest issue I had in this Hooters was the parking, it is just off the mall loop drive but it is really confusing trying to find the parking lot I was promptly greeted at the door and I took a seat at the bar (good so far). I ordered a long island and Chicken quesadilla. The waitress didn't know how to make the Long Island (really) and the manager was no help, the staff seemed happier running around being rambunctious than being productive. That being said the long Island was below par the quesadilla was pretty good. My sister & I decided to go for an early dinner on Sunday March 20th to enjoy our girl time, we chose on hooters because it's something we both thoroughly enjoy & have done it every couple months, religiously might I add. This was literally the worst service I have received at this location. They messed up our food order. Which took 40mins to come out. Mind you, it was not busy. They brought two cheeses when I asked for ranches & never brought our fries.. which whatever, it was fine. Mix ups happen. I understand because I used to work in a restaurant. I was also given a dirty look when I asked for extra lemons for my water, for the second time in 20mins. So I corrected our served almost immediately about the mix up. & yet, she still tried to charge me for the fries we didn't receive & the cheese we very obviously didn't use or touch. When I corrected her a second time, she had the audacity to go back to the cook to check if I had fries on my plate. That right there should just tell you how much of a service she really was.. I actually really like Hooters. But during today's visit I thought that the staff was too distracted. Too many dirty tables, we walked through the whole restaurant until the server found a clean one for us. Then the server preceded to clean a table for us. She wiped down half of it. I ended up wiping it clean. Waited for 30 mins for our food. Then our food sat at the counter for 4 mins while the server was enjoying a conversation with other servers. The place was half empty and there were upwards of 6 servers. I'm new to neighborhood and this is my closest Hooters I'm really hoping this was just an off day. read more

Bad service... we ordered regular wings and boneless wings through Uber eats. Our Oder was completely wrong. We never received our boneless wings and the regular wings came dry with no sauce. This is my second time at this location. The fried pickles came out hot and were delicious. All of the food we ordered came out smoking hot but it took forever for it to come out. We didn't mind that much since the food was good and it was hot. Our waitress was really nice and was on top of everything. Much better than the Orland park location in my opinion. I'm a frequent business traveler and used to really like going to Hooters because the waitresses were so friendly. It's really lonely being on the road and sitting in a boring restaurant alone just makes it worse. Hooters usually has pretty fast service and the waitresses would interact with you a little bit and ask you questions, and just generally be friendly. That made it interesting and broke up the boredom of being on the road. It is these things that always made me go in there. When I'm by myself I don't like to be in a restaurant for a long time because it's boring. So having a friendly waiter or waitress and fairly fast service means that I'm not so bored while I'm there. Sadly, hooters no longer seems to get this. I wondered in here because it was one of the only restaurants within walking distance of my hotel. I wasn't especially hungry but was looking forward to some shrimp tacos and maybe a glass of wine. Turns out the shrimp tacos are no longer. I looked and looked all over the menu for a lighter meal and didn't really find much of anything that fit the bill. I inquired about the oysters, but the waitress was completely uninformed about them. At my request, she finally went back to the bartender and asked how long they had been there. The answer was nine days. Needless to say, I did not order any oysters and got a salad. Having been to enough restaurants dining alone, I have begun to notice a pattern. Waiters and waitresses spend a lot more time at the tables full of people where they think they are going to get good tips. They start off very friendly and outgoing, and they ask me if they can get me a drink or an appetizer before I even get a chance to look at the menu. The answer is inevitably no, I'll just take a water for now and look at the menu while you're gone. Ordering the water always seems to be the thing that does it. I am always dehydrated when I travel, and I don't especially like pop. Sometimes I will get an iced tea, but generally just prefer drinking water. But after I order a water and decline an appetizer is when the waiter or waitress disappears and you only see them the minimal amount of time required to get me the order and get me out of the restaurant. I always figured that at this point they decide that I'm cheap and so I'm not going to tip well and they're not going to provide me good service. It's really a shame because I'm traveling on an expense account and don't really care how much I spend. They just don't have the things I want to order on the menu. So I told her no thanks on the oysters, and declined a glass of wine also just ordered a salad. My service wasn't very good after that, which is typical. She wasn't friendly or talkative, and only came back when she noticed that my salad was getting empty. My total bill was less than eight bucks and it seems that this is what dictates the kind of service that I get. It really wasn't all her fault though, the menu sucked and the oysters were old. My trips to Hooters have gotten a lot less frequent when I'm on the road. I hope the chain figures some of the stuff out and get it fixed, but I doubt it. It seems to be a big cultural problem all the way through the organization. They don't seem to understand what it is that makes customers want to come in, and why they keep coming back, or don't. read more

Yes, you can be a girl and go to Hooters. I'm living proof. I love their Sangria and the original wings. Nice sized wings, unlike the other Hooters in Orland. Joliet is much better. The waitstaff are all really nice and don't bat an eye at a table of girls out for an evening instead of a bunch of guys watching the game and oogle-ing (is that a word?) at all the waitresses. Sitting directly at the bar gives you a whole different experience; you can watch the poor guys in the kitchen run around like crazy folks getting those orders together. It's amazing to watch them co-ordinate the tickets to get the food out at once. Only 4 stars because having to walk through groups of smokers all standing right outside the door (even though there's laws against that) is horrible. COUGH COUGH!! Gross. Hold your breath, run in, and grab a pitcher of sangria. read more

I'm giving the 2 stars because Hooters has great wings. Too bad the service here is abysmal. Come in to eat, wait an hour because the kitchen lost our order. Order a day ahead of time and pay in advance. That doesn't work either ! Now 20 minutes past promised time and still waiting. I told my husband he needs to find a new wing place. Done with this place. On our way out of our parking spot the manager caught us and gave my husband his card with 20 free wings written on it. That was very nice of him. My son got his first job, we offered to take him to dinner to celebrate. We decided to get a take out order from Hooters, which we have loved for more than twenty years. We chose to get a take out order and eat at home. Our meal overall was terrible. One star is generous. We bought close to $90 worth of food and everything was very disappointing! The boneless wings were dry and over cooked. Fried pickles were barely coated with seasoning and soggy. I paid extra for blue cheese, which was watered down and had no flavor. The celery I paid extra for was mostly brown. Along with our meal we got a Hooters house salad and there was less than a handful of lettuce in the salad. Some of the lettuce we did get was the core of the head of lettuce and mostly white. The quality of the food was embarrassing. This meal that we looked forward to eating and celebrating my son's accomplishments will be our last we will ever eat at any Hooters. read more

Great service this afternoon. Was immediately seated by an attractive hostess whose name I did not catch. My server Alyssa was also cute and was very attentive. Food was served quickly and was hot and perfectly prepared. Alyssa was kind enough to turn the channel on a TV so I could watch the Tour de France. I don't get the negative reviews here.
