I love hooters. I've been to Hooters all over the country. But this particular location is by far the worst. Yesterday 8/19/18 around 5:20pm my girlfriend placed an order for pick up. On our order(& our receipt) we paid for 4 cups of ranch. We did not receive them. We didn't realize til we got homes, so I called to get my money back. When I finally got ahold of a manager. He put me on hold for a few minutes, couldn't find our receipt or order information. While I was on hold I heard some indistinct chattering on the phone and then my call was ended. Didn't hear back from Hooters or the management. Don't really care. Just goes to show that they don't care about their customers happiness. I will be attending Hooters again in the future, but definitely not the Joliet location!! read more

I HATE that this is the nearest hooters by my house. The staff is either rude, unfriendly, sometimes answers the phone, online ordering works half the time, or they simply just screw up 75% of our orders. If you're in the neighborhood...drive to any hooters beside this one. read more

Stopped for a quick bite after a movie. Apparently the don't like seating single business men from out if town. After waiting 5-10 minutes just to get on the seating list, and having multiple hostesses come and go, I left and went down the street. After they helped a family that came in after me. I called in my order for pick up and waited for 4 minutes before hanging up and calling again, placed my order and picked it up, they brought out the fries before the rest of my order so needless to say my fries were not so great by the time I got home 25min away. Service is slow and very poor. I had to keep asking for refills. I was given no utensils. Crab legs came with orange slices (????) Wing badder doesn't taste like traditional Hooters wings. I absolutely love this place! The girls are fun and energetic. Our server Brittany always made sure we had everything we needed. Very sweet. Looks like Katy Perry. Manager should consider hiring competent front door hostesses that can count to four! Hostess sat 3 other groups that arrived after we did whose parties were the same size or smaller than ours. I was here today at the Joliet location around 12:30 getting a takeout order. While paying, the cashier asked me if I wanted to donate any money, through my job I've donated to several funds already so I say no. She asks again, "do you want to donate the rounded off amount?", again -no thanks... "so you don't even want to donate the leftover change ??" "NO" Then she proceeds to tell me how much the amount is... OH MY F****** GOD this is the forth time I'm literally saying NO!!!! Im here spending money only to be BADGERED into donating more money?! Plus I already donated. You just don't expect to be badgered and harassed where you are already spending money. I'm so beyond annoyed by this. Shrimp was horrible and usually it's my favorite food. I'm very disappointed because I don't come here often but when I do I expect nicely breaded hot shrimp and instead I received basically unbreaded cocktail shrimp soaking in hot sauce with salsa. Me and my wife LOVE coming to hooters! We usually order the same thing every time, we're creatures of habit. After a long day of work and not wanting to go ANYWHERE, the wife decides she wants Hooters. So we travel out...we order our usual appetizer and my wife was not satisfied with the portion of toppings (and it was lacking, it happens)...I approached the manager (shawn) and he was the most accommodating manager I have EVER encountered! Mind you I am not; and HATE, being "that guy" to question food or send anything back...but shawn and his hooters team knocked it out of the park and delivered a excellent experience...CONFIRMED Hooters costumer for life! I agree with the other reviewers. Food is the same, no matter which Hooters you go to. I also agree that the waitresses are too busy socializing with each other instead of getting their customers (ME) their free refills. Nerida was our server and i would avoid her at all costs. It took 15 minutes to even be greeted with drinks. When i got my boneless wings I didn't get a fork. Waited another 10 for her to come back and she DIDNT. so i had to ask someone else to bring us silverware, which also proceeded to take long. She had literally one table other than mine. I like Hooters. Perhaps once a year I get a craving for regular wings and curly fries from here. This is the closest location to me, which is in a far outlot of Louis Joliet Mall, and can be a bit tricky to get to via the mall parking lot. We came in for a late lunch on a Wednesday afternoon, and were one of the six or so occupied tables. Although music was playing, the atmosphere was quite subdued for a bar/grill type of place. Our server was prompt and well-endowed (Duh!) but very listless. Not that I expected rah-rah fanfare, but at least crack a smile now and then. I then noticed that the entire staff had that same robotic, nearly catatonic sort of vibe going on. Maybe everyone was just winding down and chilling after dealing with the lunch rush. Who knows. I had my normal order of regular wings and curly fries. The fries were great (even better when dipped in ranch!) but the wings left something to be desired. I know they are tossed in a butter sauce, but these things weren't merely tossed; they were bathed in the stuff. So much that I had to wipe down each wing before eating. I don't know, but it kind of killed as opposed to satiated my craving for Hooters. read more

Would like to start off by saying we are new to the area and we're excited that there was a hooters not to far from us. My fiancé and I love the sangria and ordered it and it tasted kinda bad(like bad water/the sewer taste) so we told our waiter and the bar tender continued to argue with her that it tasted fine. So we decided to get a beer. Well the bartender continued to argue saying "it taste fucking fine" "it doesn't taste bad" we could hear her clear on the other side of the restaurant so we got up and confronted her saying just forget it and cancel our order she proceeded to tell us how good it taste... manager kept telling her to shut up and she kept arguing with me. Manager offered to pay our bill and we left without eating anything! Very disappointed!!!! read more

THE WORST!!!!! I ordered 10 PLAIN shrimp and 10 Mile island shrimp at 8:58 PM. I was told they would ready in 20 minutes! I arrived at the location at 9:23, stood in line and got the order that wasn't on a heat lamp but behind the register. Opened the box when I got about a block away to find popcorn size shrimp!! The plain shrimp were ice cold with all the mushy breading crumbled in the box and the mile island were cold as well. I Went back to the location and the girls at the door were very nice and apologetic! HOWEVER Manager Tim needs to retire! He is the worst! He never apologized, he rudely asked me "what are they", grabbed the shrimp from me and walked away! Came back with 10 mile island and over sauced MILD shrimp! I said "those were supposed plain" he said "you said mild" to which I replied "No I said plain and MILE island" he grabs the shrimp from me AGAIN never apologizing and finally brings back 10 very tiny plain shrimp! Never offered anything extra not even a sorry for the second mistake! I encourage you to drive a little further and go to an establishment that values you as a customer! Manager Tim doesn't and is clearly passed his customer service prime! I'll be calling corporate Monday morning, leaving a review on Twitter, Facebook, and BBB!! Look for review from a yelper named Jessica J! She had the same experience at this location! There's clearly a pattern here! What can I say its a fun place. The food is better than most chain places, and well so are the servers. Try the buffalo chicken sandwich.

I normally go to the orland park location, but found myself in the joliet area with the wife and decided to stop in. The place was really quiet and the service was excellent (even though the waitress screwed up our choice of wing sauce, she quickly noticed it on her own and fixed it while apologizing). We ordered the fried pickles and the Mozilla sticks and both were hot and crispy and tasted better than any other time i have had them. Will definitely be coming back here as opposed to the Orland Park location. read more

The food, drinks, and service is good but the music is WAY TOO LOUD!!! My dinner companion and I both happened to have different brand decibal meeters with us and both measured 80 decibals at lunchtime. NOTE: 85 decibals is where hearing loss occurs and to some people 80 decibals can cause hearing loss. The server was training a new server side-by-side and both of them would ask us "what"? , ?"what"?, when we tried to order lunch. If servers can't communicate with dining guests because management has the music turned up so loud, that should tell you something about management and any restaurant that has music so loud that it could give both guests and employees and how do you relax and enjoy yourself at a restaurant when you can hardly hold a conversation with your dinner partner? Same thing with Texas Roadhouse restaurants. Why would any restaurant want to have music so loud that it drives customers away? read more

My family, which is a party of 7, just spent 45 minutes at this restaurant waiting for a table, to not get one and end up leaving. The wait time was told to us by the hostess, so we were fine with waiting. They attempted to seat us at a table we would not comfortably fit at because we have 4 bigger guys with us. We asked how much longer the wait would be for a larger table and the hostess told us 15 minutes, as she pointed to a table a family was getting up from and said they were wrapping up. We waited and then were told, sorry, that's for a reservation that was already made. So, we waited for the next large table and again, the hostess told us, this group is leaving so we'll get it cleaned up and seat you. We said fine. Then we were told nope, this is for a party of 10 that was already here. Obviously, we were pretty upset at that point! We were talking to a manager as one of the two hostesses were talking crap about us to another customer! I approached her and was told by the manager that this is his shift and he'll handle it how he sees fit! He said the high tops fit 7 and that's the best he could do. We told them we were leaving, forget it! My husband didn't walk out the same time as the rest of us and the staff, including the manager, were in there talking nasty about us. Poor customer service by the the hostess staff, and even worse by the manager!! We visited for dinner with 2 kids on a Tuesday & had the best experience! Food was delicious like always and the husband and I took turns playing the new slot machines and they paid out good! Service is quick, girls are sweet, and food is proper. I haven't had a personalized experience yet as I usually am picking up to go but I am sure everything will be great. Only small issue I had was ordering ranch and celery and not getting it. I paid and then when I got the food checked and it was nowhere to be found. My boneless wings were dry. My friends wings had way to much sauce on them. Another ones sandwich was really salty. Not good service at all.
