FANTASY FOOTBALL DRAFT First off- it is Hooters and they advertise as being one of the best places to have a football draft. So I thought it would beat out the last place we had it at by a wide margin. Our draft was at 8 so I made the reservation for 7 so people could show up early for beer, food, etc. When we arrived, we were able to connect to the wifi and everything was fine. 10 minutes later, we got kicked off and weren't able to connect again until 750. This would've been fine until 755 rolled around and it kicked us off again. After the issues we had, my group just decided to use the data on our phones. The manager came over twice during this time frame asking if the wifi was back up and running, and after we replied no both times, he never came back to check on us. I understand the wifi is not Hooters' fault but if you are going to advertise fantasy football, you would think to check your wifi first. Our draft ended at 9 and our waitress was nowhere to be found, neither was the manager. Finally after 20 minutes of waiting, our waitress came back reeking of smoke. I asked if we were going to receive any comps for the issues we experienced. She gave me this how dare you look and said "I can get my manager". The manager came over and I explained why I thought we deserved a discount. He agreed and gave us 50 percent off our food, however, some people only ordered drinks. What really sent me over the edge is when I overheard our waitress having a conversation with the manager and she said "over some stupid fantasy shit". She was complaining about the fact that I complained. I hope in the future Hooters will hire people that support the things they advertise, or not advertise it at all. Wow, what a lame experience. I was seated next to the server window. My server Ashley had no personality and was not friendly or engaging. She kept walking outside, which was odd. Someone else served me my drink, without even acknowledging me. On top of that, my food order was messed up. At least the food was good, but still debating on if I'll ever come back. read more

I've have dined and gotten take out here for several years. I came in tonight, ordered 88.96 in takeout for my family. One hour and 10 min later my order was packaged up and I was told it was all "resdy". I get home to fine that all if my order was wrong. Wings were sauced wrong. Not the type of wings I ordered. Sauces were wrong. Fries were old and stale and cold I'm sure when I left the restaurant. What a f'ng joke. Horrible service, at a time they were not busy at all. I'm only writing this being in the industry as a regional director; this has happened more often than not with coworkers, family, friends, and most recently with my wife yesterday. The customer service is lacking on a consistence basis, taking initiative is none existence, and the simplistic greeting skills seems to have gone out the window. Yesterday evening, 4/3/18, we went to have wings at this location and was seated. At this time, we observed, a group of servers with some gentleman, several servers pass by with no contact or greeting, and of all things a manager on their phone with no intention to greet; sitting roughly 30 mins not the simplest of providing water has been done. At this point it was enough for us to walk out and still no contact or communication, there is a lack of ownership that drives this location and leadership to set expectations to make this location truly successful. Take it with a grain of salt or as constructive criticism but I will no longer attempt this location nor recommend it to my colleagues. If this were my staff half of them would be gone immediately. When you go to a place like this, you expect entitled young ladies, scantily clad and providing subpar service. Most customers expect this. With that said, in order to have a viable business you still need to do basic things. Get an order, bring the order, bring the check and take payment. What I've witnessed twice is a scenario where waitresses linger around their regular high tippers and disregard other customers almost entirely. The amount of food and drink sold is waaay below customer demand because paying customers are so poorly serviced. I had to laugh last night because nobody was clearing empty food/drinks from our table so I bus'd empties to the waitress station at the bar. An hour later I did it again and the bartender (grumpy) says "What the f*** are you doing, take that sh** back to your table." She looked at me like she was gonna kill me. This girl has a job for one reason (not because she's pretty-which she was). She has a job because her manager is not qualified to run a staff of young pretty ladies. They clearly walk all over him. From an ownership/management stance it would seem that the business is successful as there is surely money entering the register but I would argue that it's the minimum amount based on foot traffic. A solid 70% of all customers you see are frustrated with their waitress and eventually give up on buying that round of shots or pitchers and fixate on the game on TV. I was there for 5 hours last night and my bill was about $25. I've never spent that little at a sports bar watching a game...ever. Over that time, my buddy had probably three beers (normally would've had 7-8). When he asked for his tab, she had no idea who he was and just brought him a tab for five dollars. We weren't sure if she was just totally incompetent or whether she was trying to garner a fat tip. Regardless of cost, we would've preferred more food, more drinks and better service. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This hooters is by for, the WORST. This is the SECOND time we get the same waitress and have horrible experiences both times. This last time, the restaurant had literally 5 tables, and several waitresses around. Our waitress first off starts by saying, "I'm not giving you guys attitude, I just got into a fight with my manager." Our table was a party of 3, and two of us ordered beers. The waitress recommended one to me, so I decided to try it. After ordering, she completely disappeared, as well as ALL the waitresses and the manager. Leaving the restaurant completely alone. After the food came up to the window, we had to flag the manager down. Our waitress brought the food and I reminded her about my beer. She brought the beer out, 5 min after, and disappeared again. I did not like the beer, and wanted to change to the one I originally was gonna order, but she was nowhere to be found. So I got up and asked the bartender for it. Went back to eat. Waitress never came to check on us. We then noticed people waiting to be sat, at the door. They ended up seating themselves. They also had to go find a waitress to wait on them, as waitresses were seen talking and on there phones by the bar. There are several times we have been here and the waitresses and management are horrible. I seriously hope Hooters gets their business together. Extremely dissapointing. read more

Here is what happen , I took my wife and my son to have dinner, we find our own table, after a wile our server showed up, any way I get a beer and my wife water and my son a soda , our server come back with our drinks and she told us that she will be back to take our order, took her almost 20 minutes to come back to get our order so before we ordered she told us that it will take about an hour to get our food, because they had 7 other tables that has been waiting for an hour to get their food, I looked around and it wasn't so packed at all , and she told us that we are more welcome to go to another restaurant, that if it was her she would it leave, a mean I really appreciated the honesty but she should it tell us before we waited for20 min any way horrible service, to bad I love hooters, so we end up at the Chinese food . Stopped in to order buffalo shrimp and fish n chips to go, after waiting 5 minutes to be greeted someone finally showed. Immediately placed my order along with a drink. Waited 10 minutes or so for said beverage, thinking my food would arrive before it got there. Waited an additional 25 minutes for my food only to have the waitress show up with my check and no food? I inquired on my food, she quickly agreed to check on it, waited another 10 minutes to discover the kitchen was changing out frying oil! I informed her that I could no longer wait, she quickly said she would get the manager. As I sit there watching her locate said such manager, brief conversation was held and she returned to inform me my food would be an additional 5 to 10 minutes!! Horrible service. Dry nasty wings. Cheap on sauce. They served a steaming hot salad with a plate so hot, I couldn't touch it with every piece of lettuce wilted. Cook can't count to 15, served 11 wings! Took an hour to get meal and extra 25 min for the included ranch dip. read more

Ok. So, anyone who knows me knows I am not a complainer. I go out of my way to spread joy. I had a craving for shrimp and wings today, with my brother. I chose a favorite, Hooters in McKinney. Today was awful. We were having a great day, having fun with the staff, as we always do. Someone took offense and complained. Not a big deal, we would have apologized in a heartbeat. However, the manager (Aaron) came out with a very combative attitude. Needless to say things got WAY overblown because he was arrogant and did not want to listen, he was too busy accusing over something he wasn't the least bit interested in hearing about from us. So tonight is my first time ever to step foot into a Hooters. I'm not against them at all and have always heard how good the wings and servers are - it just never came up before. But tonight I am here with the boyfriend to watch UFC fights. The place is half empty. I've NEVER been to a bar or restaurant on fight night that wasn't packed! Now we know why. Nobody was at the front desk to seat customers so after several minutes of waiting, the boyfriend seated himself. The assistant manager (we think) made a snarky remark about him liking the table but then walked off. Still waited quite awhile after that to have a waitress come by for our drink orders, as they all seemed more interested in flirting with other patrons and socializing with each other (including a little spat in the kitchen between a waitress and cook involving very colorful language) than actually waiting tables. I've seen only 2 people smile at us since we've been here. The others seem miserable. I didn't eat anything so I can't comment on the food but the attitudes and service were so bad I don't see us coming back here anytime soon. Not to mention, the boyfriend said the men's room was filthy with urine all over the floor. Towards the end of the night, the BF caught the manager to tell him about the men's room situation. He sent a young man from the kitchen to take care of it. After about 30 seconds, the young man left the men's room trailing a dripping mop behind him through the main eating area of the restaurant. Gross, just gross! It's really a shame. The location is great for us and would have made a nice new place for us on UFC fight nights. read more

As a regular at this Hooter's, I will say that at times the service has been a little to be desired. I came in today to watch my favorite NFL team as it was not on national tv. I want to give them this review for the followings reasons. On a major sport Sunday, they had 3 girls not show up for work, which left 3 girls on the floor, 1 behind the bar, and Jay, the manager on duty. The 5 of them and the cooks all did a great job of taking care of all the customers. Ashley, my server, although very busy the entire time, was always smiling and never complained. Super Job. Thanks to Ashley, Jordan, Kinsey, Courtney, Jay and the cooks for working their butts off, and some nice ones at that, except Jays. read more

Where to start... I've been a Hooters connoisseur since the early 90's when they opened the first location in Oklahoma City. Like others who have posted reviews, I've done much traveling and my wife and I always enjoy going to Hooters for some wings and beer! I now live on the border of Oklahoma and Texas, so the McKinney location is the closest to us. In the past five years we have been patrons of this location on a somewhat weekly basis and have watched it steadily decline in both food quality and service. Managers and waitstaff are consistently rotating in and out. Just a couple of the girls have been there for over a year or two. However service has always been better than the food. I haven't had a hot French fry in over 3 years (even if you order Big Dipper fries or tots that they might have to cook up fresh). They have had at least one of the same cooks for years that I recognize from looking in thru the window who used to make the best food, so I'm sure it's no fault of his that they're instructing him to pre-cook items because when they're served to the table, it's cold, old crap. The last straw was a couple of weeks ago where the food was inedible and it took over an hour and 15 minutes to get get it (and we were out of beer too)! I'm currently sitting at the Hooters in Plano (just another 10 minutes south) and the food is great! I actually forgot how good it could be from suffering thru the McKinney cuisine for the past couple years! read more

Where do I even begin with this place...I've been in McKinney for about 12 years and have frequently ordered to go from this location. Never really had problems until recently. First of all, when I made the Online order it said ready at 6:40, food not actually ready until 7:15. That's fine as they were clearly busy but still annoying. When I did finally receive my food it was wrong. I paid extra for onion rings and when I checked my bag they were not in there. I had to wait another 5 mins for her to ask me what was wrong and when I mentioned it she told they were out. If you were out then why did you let me pay for them and why just replace them with fries instead of letting me know? Her response was basically there was nothing she can do if they were out but offer me more fries. I had also paid for extra dressing which I had to ask for bc it was not in the bag either. Worse was the food I did receive was already cold which made no sense because I watched her bag it from the kitchen. I was too fed up by then to even wait for new food. Also, no clear markings on where to pick up to go orders so people were cutting and not even realizing it. They definitely need more help behind the bar. The restaurant seemed more dirty and unorganized than previous visits. I feel like the Manager is definitely to blame for this, as the girls seemed to be doing the best they could but no one to help support them and take up slack and make sure the customers are actually happy.
