I got a pulled pork sando on sourdough. The picture on the menu showed on a regular bun but this on sourdough was so good!!! wish it came with some fries for the price but the sandwich was super good. Staff was friendly, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the outside seating is nice in the right weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't like their coffee but that's not what i'm reviewing today.

"No Coffee Shop Parking" signs in the parking lot behind the cafe, at the parking spots closest to the cafe

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute coffee shop to be productive at! I went during the afternoon and there were a lot of people there working/studying.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The AC was running so it was a little refuge from the heat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a large outdoor patio that is partly covered, and plants provided shade to some of the tables that weren't covered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the honey lavender latte iced and it exceeded my expectations. Both the lavender and honey were prominent, it was a good balance of flavors. I had taken a few sips after receiving the drink and then didn't drink it again until after all the ice had melted, and it didn't even taste super watered down. A lot of reviews mention parking in Apna Mandi's parking lot behind the cafe. However, the spots in that lot closest to the coffee shop have bright red signs saying "No Coffee Shop Parking" and that violators will be towed. I ended up following one of the reviews and parked in the Safeway plaza across the street. It would be nice if Hops & Beans clarified whether or not customers actually allowed to park in the lot behind the cafe, or any alternatives.

Went for breakfast here with some friends. I have very good things to say about it. The food was delicious and pretty prompt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A nice informal meeting place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had a crepe. It had so much chicken and vegetables. I loved it. It came with a salad which made it lunch for me.

I really wanted to like this place since I've been trying to find a place to study that's close to Hayward. Parking is very confusing. The parking lot in the back is technically for the grocery store only so keep that in mind just in case they start towing vehicles. This location has a patio that I wish I should've just sat in instead of sitting inside. I ordered the artichoke & cucumber toast with salmon, the lavander latter and the jamaica tea. I did enjoy the toast although the salmon was a bit to fishy for me and the fishyness lingered in my mouth the whole night. The Lavander latte was actually really good. Perfect sweetness and perfect amount of lavander and not over powering. I didn't expdect the Jamaica tea to be bubbly but it was a good drink. I did request for it to not be to sweet so they were able to adjust that. So I remove one star because of the cleanliness. I was seating by the window and just saw how dirty the base of the window is. I don't think they have wiped down their windows or the surrounding areas since there's just crumbs everywhere. I'm not sure when their last general cleaning or deep cleaning was but they are definitely due for one. Another reason why I removed another star is safety. Given that this location is in their downtown area, the amount of unhoused people that goes in and out of this cafe to sit and get water was high. I probably saw three just in the one hour in a half I was there. I just felt so uneasy, and could not focus on studying because I was more busy making sure that my surroundings were safe so I eventually left since I couldn't focus. This place definitely gets pretty busy so if you're going to come especially with a large group be prepared to might not have a table. They do have a lot of seating availability but it fills up fast.

An excellent place for breakfast or brunch. A tad pricey but the food is on point. The crepes are great. They have savory and sweet versions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Expect crowds on a Sunday morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cappuccino hit the spot to wash down all the food.

A hidden gem in the heart of Fremont with cool ambience and even better flavors. First thing you notice is the vibe of this cafe. This is one the top reasons I'm going to come back to this cafe again and again. They have many interesting coffee options. I have tried several loved them all. My husband prefers stronger coffee and this cafe has served him well. I have tried their chicken crepe. This is very flavorful and huge quality. I had dressing on the side. This dressing is game changer. We tried meditarían toast, that was also very flavorful with some unique take on toast. My server was very attentive, too. Overall, definitely going to visit this cafe !!!

Glad this yelp suggestion was legit!! LORD!! The avocado toast! Fresh, good size, egg on top! Price was right! DELICIOSO!! And my lavender honey soy latte on a holiday- after a 3 hrs drive! AMAZING! I'm super happy I stopped by! The staff... I could kindly suggest up the costumer service, smile, I could hardly hear her when I asked about the bathroom! [[HIGHLIGHT]]bathroom was extremely dirty and it was only 8:10am![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I get it early morning! LOVE IT! I'll definitely come back!

This , to me , is kind of hilarious saying handicap accessible. The a d a will get a kick out of this.

I have been coming to this place for over 35+ years, Oh so many owners. I loved it when Nancy was there, And she was there for 25 years. I love the ambiance, Music and all the yummy smells. It breaks my heart to write this review. Now , being disabled, this is not a handicap friendly establishment. Ada will be getting notified. They always have the gate locked at least most of the time, You have to go around these uneven steps(attached pictures) or walk around almost to the indian store and come down fremont blvd , which is scary Especially when cars are rounding that corner. I asked to speak to the owner. Her name is ramana. Joe behind the counter , says she's usually not available. I complained I'll admit wasn't happy. I ordered my drink and Joe was drinking something that looked yummy. And I said oh what's that? He said , why do you care you're not going to be coming back here? I always thought Joe was pretty cool, ummm. It seems like there's a younger crowd in there, which is great. But for us , old fremonters that are disabled , this is not the place for you. Strange enough I was waiting for my friend to come back and this woman Pulled up and asked me if the gate was locked.Because she has a cane. I said all locked up.She drove away to go somewhere else. That's what I will have to do. Oh, breaking up his hard to do.I will miss you, lavender honey Lattes, but I will find you somewhere else or darn All make it myself.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cozy and welcoming cafe that is a gem of Fremont![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is always helpful and friendly, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the vibe of course is so warm, it's a great place to get some work done or hang out (especially with your dog on the patio!)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I enjoyed my iced matcha, it was clearly high quality and they didn't skimp on the amount of powder. It's a fantastic, straight to the point, no frills matcha. Would love to come here again with my dog and sit outside on a nice day and try their beer or hard kombucha as well!

Coffee bar with 1 barista taking orders and making them.
    Jessica B.

They need to hire more baristas or a permanent cashier. Great place, good food and coffee but LONG wait. This is the 2nd time I experience this here. I placed an order online 10:20am nothing crazy just 2 hot chocolates (15-20min wait) and when I arrive to pick up the order it's still not ready and wait ANOTHER 20 mins (Received my at 11:00am) The barista is going back and forth taking orders and making them. I noticed another barista stepping in (I'm thinking good, she has help) to make 1 coffee and then left to the back and never came out. I'm also writing this because I noticed she was rushing making my drink and I received my 2 hot chocolates only to see there's barely any drink inside my cups 3/4 full even with whipped cream it wasn't full. Honestly so disappointing.

A great go to for me whenever I need to meet someone during weekdays for coffee. The weekends get a bit crowded with grocery shoppers and parking can be hard then. There is a variety of coffee, tea and food options. There are lots of inside seating and outside seating. The service is quick and it is quiet.

Hot Mocha, Strawberry Nutella Crepe, Iced Hazelnut Latte
    Nicholas T.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance seemed dull and lazy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The person at the counter didn't seem excited about her task to greet people coming in or to talk about items on the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Furthermore, we asked if we could sit outside in the patio area after ordering and the reply was "yes" and we were given a number on a stand assumingely to place on the table for the food and drinks to be brought out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After a decent amount of waiting time, we went in to check on the order and apparently they couldn't find us so they left our order at the counter; not sure how long it has been sitting there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We expected to experience a friendly coffee and treat corner shop, but it was far from it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The items ordered weren't impressive. Possibly a fitting establishment if you ordered and took items to go.

    Rose cardamom coffee
    Christine A.

This was my first visit, and I was drawn in by the menu; it sounded delicious and definitely lived up to my expectations. I tried the Rose Cardamom Coffee, and a morning bun, it was outstanding! The flavors were perfectly balanced in my coffee, with neither the rose nor the cardamom overpowering the other. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is lively and energetic, so it can get a bit loud from all the conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're looking for a quiet place to work or study, you may want to bring earplugs or headphones. The service was phenomenal; friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Overall, I had a great experience and would happily return. In my humble opinion, this place is a gem!

A staff member greeted me when I came in and let me know I could order at the cash register when I was ready. I ordered a large frozen caramel latte and they made it immediately. It was delicious -- if you like sweet drinks, you will not be disappointed. It was actually almost too sweet for me, and I'm the type to ask for extra caramel in my caramel lattes. The drink was well blended and the large size is 24 oz, so good portion there. The paper menu needs to be updated though, because it listed the drink price as $6.15 but I was charged $6.50. In addition to frozen (frappe) coffee drinks, they have fruit freeze drinks and juices. I was there at lunchtime during a weekday and there were people dining in. The mocha + Hojicha cream was an interesting combination, but I think I would try their Hojicha Latte the next time I go. They have matcha, Hojicha, and seasonal offerings as well (like their banana cream!).
