After taking it to discount tire and jiffy lube to have it looked at, I brought in because the issue continued. I purchased a vehicle from Horne Kia nearly 6 years ago and would never recommend anyone to buy a car from there. I've experienced nothing short of harassment from the sales team over the past several years. Once you buy a car, they will never leave you alone. I've repeatedly expressed my concerns to multiple Sales and General Managers over the years, but it's never helped. I blocked their phone number so I can no longer receive calls, and would highly recommend you do the same if you have already made the same mistake and purchased a car from this dealership. I've been going to Tempe Kia to service my car, which is way out of the way, but is completely worth the drive so Horne Kia will never make a penny off me again. Today I received 2 more emails from salespeople at Horne Kia, which is what prompted my scathing review. I am still driving my Kia that I bought nearly 6 years ago and love it. If you do want to purchase a Kia, which I highly recommend, save yourself the agony and find ANY other Kia dealership than Horne Kia. Seriously, you'll thank me. RIP OFF ALERT AND WASTE OF TIME - DONT BOTHER HERE. Kia Sorento , 2012 100k miles they said 7500 was a great offer originally and to come.on down... Came pre-approved with a great offer at 7750 3k cash down and financing already ready to go... Upon arrival all of a sucden, oh nooooo..... They wanted approx 460 a month lol, with a price tag of 9k ...I'm laughing now Sat around for 40 min waiting for them to ignore my pre approval and run their own.... To finance 5grand they wanted 24% too wow My pre approval was 9% btw. I have no dent and own one car already paid off.... Got burned on that deal and it's not happening again . So don't commit the drive here for a fair deal... SUV had a huge scratch, torn interior in the back seat , a lot of chips and cracks on the front end too. I made an appointment for an oil change and they gave me an appointment fairly quickly, since all the KIA's in the area were booked out weeks in advance. The day of my appointment was the same day as Gilbert Days, and all the main streets were closed off from Mesa to Gilbert so I was running late, I called them to let them know I was getting there late, which was no problem. As soon I arrived they took my car in right away, Jason was super friendly and explained everything to me, the only thing that made me give em 3 stars was the wait. I was contacted my manager Phill after inquiring online. He was very nice via email and scheduled an appointment for Saturday. Upon arrival he had his assistant Blake come out to great me. Blake was kind, showed me the vehicle i wanted and pulled Finance's together. He kept running back to this 'Phill' who i never actually met in person. Long story short, they told me they could work a better deal for me Monday morning and i would be contacted from Phill for follow up. I never heard from Blake after contacting him twice. I asked Phill for an update and he said 'Blake will call you'. Still never heard from these people when i gave them my information for financing and wanted to buy a car. Phill looks cocky and rude just from his picture. Blake was very kind which is disappointing this happened. Phill is a jerk and i will never be back here. read more

Drove 30 min to them in Gilbert, in order to test drive one specific car. Arrived at 10:28am for a 10:30am appointment made the previous week. After waiting until 10:39am for sales guy to show, thought I'd go look for the car myself. As soon as I walked outside, I saw the car I was there for leaving on a test drive with someone else. Sales staff by door suggested that: "I wait for them to get back". Ha! What a bad joke this place is... I'll refrain from repeating the outright lies I overheard a female 'sales manager' tell a nice father/son while waiting. Never driving there again. Like others have said, don't walk away.. RUN. This dealership was the worst we dealt with when looking for a new Kia. Details: they were the only dealer in the valley that had the car we wanted with the options we wanted. It was the perfect car. The internet sales guy asked if we could drive out "tonight or tomorrow" to look at it. So we packed the kids up and drove 56 miles there. When we get there at 8 (an hour before close) the place was a ghost town. Had to look for someone to help us. He then got the internet sales guy. He went to get the white Sedona we had asked about. A black Sedona pulls up. Turns out that "Mrs Horne has the car and will be demoing it." He tells us it could be weeks to months. If you didn't have the car? Why did you ask me to drive 56 miles to come see it?! So we leave empty handed, another 56 miles home. The next day, they reach out to us. Eventually they say that if we can get a deal worked out, they'll swap Mrs Horne out with the black Sedona and we can buy the white. We make the 56 mile journey. After waiting 45 minutes to come back with a trade value, they present us with the worksheet. They're offering $5500 off on the car ($4000 manufacturer, $1500 Horne discount). Then they adds $2500 on for window tint, paint, and vehicle recovery. The next kicker, $3500 less on the trade than ANYWHERE else. When asked about getting the trade to the same value as other dealerships, the salesman says something like "well we have to recover the discount we are giving you. $5500 is a lot off"...except $4000 is rebate from Kia. WE had enough and left. Went to Tempe Kia instead. Give them a try. Much better at what they do and no $2500 in dealer markups. read more

One of the things that I never like about buying a car is how long it takes, I will say it took less time here, but it still took a while. My trunk latch broke on a Thursday evening just as the dealership was closing. I called and Jason Ross told me to tape it shut with painters tape and come in the next morning. He took care of the problem and had me on my way in 30 minutes so I wasn't late for work. Best service ever! read more

BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! Worst experience I've had buying a car ever! I had a pre-approved loan, I did my research on TruCar for the value of what I expected to pay for the car for my 17 yo daughter. Long story short, daughter and step-dad was told to leave because they did not like what I was counter-offering to buy the car and told me that I was "shady" and "committing fraud". When I called to complain to the sales manager, manage refused to give his last name...duh! it's on your website Mr. Messner! If you didn't like my counter then say so, a bunch of P*&SY! Worst dealership I have ever dealt with...not to mention they will not honor TruCar value and will tack on frivolous "extras" like an extended warranty on a brand new car that already has a manufacturer warranty of 10 yrs powertrain, and 5 yr bumper to bumper. read more

So when we bought our vehicle on a Sat, we took it in that Monday to have fixed (buffing out the scratches and replacing the tint). The tint was replaced but we ran into a buffing incident on Kia's end. The buffer burned through the paint of my hood. They told me my car would have to be put in the body shop to be repainted. It was a bit unnerving. But it was to be ready the next day by end of business day. Kia graciously gave me a rental which was a bit of a headache as I sat at Enterprise for a good 2hrs waiting on my rental (at no charge). Tuesday came, unfortunately my car wouldn't be ready as the paint was still wet. I was told it'd be ready by end of business day Wednesday. I was finally able to pick it up that early evening. I was happy with the result. Paint was still fresh and tint was still new where I was informed not to roll my windows down for 3-5days. No biggy. Crystal informed me my tint is under lifetime warrantly so if something should come about, I needn't worry. Cool. I then found a response from Josh B (mgr) following up on the status of my satisfaction and outcome, which was great. I did find a small "wrinkle" in my redone tint, in an inconspicuous place. But overall, I'm now happy with my car and have enjoyed it 100%. Kia has been great. I'm happy they fixed what was needed and provided what was needed (i.e. rental car). Thank you Kia read more

I hate to write this but not only has Horne Kia lost me as a Second time customer, they just lost me on maintenance as well. For the past three years I have been taking my car there for service and I have had nothing but amazing experiences. However this last time was the worst service I have ever received. I called for an appointment and talked to Mike. This is not the normal Mike that I'm used to. The good mike has been there for years and has a bunch of rewards. He's furloughed due to covid. But this new mike is a real piece of work. Called up got a Saturday 11am appointment. Got there and the line of cars was so backed up. So no one came out to my car to greet me. Again with Covid not thinking anything. I go inside and wait one guy asks who I'm waiting for I say mike and he calls him. Wait another 10 minutes while mike deals with this one chick, at this point the other two guys are sitting there doing nothing. So mike gets done I give him my info and he goes over what needs to be done twice. So now we are up to three times that he has asked What's wrong with the car. So I had over keys he says that's it's going to be 2 hours. Ok so I leave and go with my dad to his house. Two hours later mike calls and again asks what needs to be done with my car. At this point I'm pretty pissed off. It's now been two hours when I was told my car would be done in about two hours and you're asking me again what needs to be done with my car? I feel like I just left my car in the most incompetent hands. So I explain to him that my AC is not working and I do have a warranty on the car he says that it will need a re-charge for $136. I approve the recharge. Another two hours later I get a call saying my car is done and that I can come pick it up. So I drive back down with my dad to get my car when I walk in Mike again asks why I brought the car in it. This is now the fifth time I have told him that I needed my oriole changed, the AC is not working, and my muffler was rattling. He then tells me that the muffler was fixed. That the AC just was disconnected. And my oil change was done. He charges me for the oil change and I leave. The next day my AC stopped working again. So I called up Horne Kia And ask them what was done to my AC. They said they had to re-attach the connection. I told him that it was not working again. What makes me very angry is that I drive 70 miles to Horne Kia to get my car taken care of and it's not taken care of. On top of that I have been working with one of the sales people to possibly purchase a new car. The sales person is no longer talking to me. On top of that now it is 100° outside I have no working AC and in my line of work I am in essential worker so I do not have time to drive 70 miles to Horne Kia to get something taken care of which I approved to have done which is an AC recharge and this piece connected again. On top of that I feel like my oil change was not properly done because I have engine shaking now. I would like someone from Horne Kia that is above the maintenance manager to contact me back and tell me how we're going to make this right. At this point I will not be purchasing a new car with them and I'm starting to loom elsewhere for a new vehicle. If Horne Kia reaches out and makes this right I will be more than happy to update my review. read more

Being a female consumer I was concerned about my lack of knowledge when it came to car repairs. The service team at Kia have always gone the extra mile to explain every repair needed and have always been transparent with regards to cost. Take your time and go to any other Kia dealership. Don't let the technicians fool you here they are not professionals and can not diagnose simple issues with your car. It took me 4 trips and paying their takes labor multiple times to have them basically tell me what the issue was, which could of been prevented earlier. When expressing my concerns to the manager Jimmy I just heard excuse after exclude on why it was not their fault and how they did not take ownership of the issues. My husband and myself purchased a car thru kia 6/29/2018 my husband passed on 1/5/2020...we purchased credit life insurance thru kia horne via trans city insurance my vehicle is financed thru kia finance i have been trying since Jan 6th to get the lender portion of a form and a payoff sent to transcity kia finance the deceased department of kia finance received the paperwork on either the 27th or 28th of jan per kia finance. Per kia finance they have no way to contact the deceased department except email between myself and trans city we have been attenpting to obtain the information for almost 2 months with no luck all we want to do is get the vehicle paid off i have been hung up on i was told by a supervisor of kias call center there is nothing he can do when i asked for the ceo's name he refused told me i can look it up and hung up on me we have faxed we have called over and over again always being told that kia sent and escalated email to the deceased department and should have update 3 to 5 business days and its been 2 months they claim at kia finance that they have no physical numbers for deceased department and can only reach them via email and they dont get emails back from them the deceased department will only update account notes again i called today 3/25/20 got they same response there still hasnt been anything done and again they escalated email to kia deceased department my other vehicle purchased thru kia and went thru bmo bank is already paid off i dont understand how a company can treat a customer in such a manner i work for major bank in same field and it would never be tolerated..i have had to now contact an attorney to see if this dont get handled about filing a lawsuit i have done my part trans city has done their part and kia finance has not!!!! I own two 2012 Sorentos and recently had the transmission fluid replaced on both. I waited on-site for the work to be completed while enjoying fresh coffee (at 2:30pm, very nice). Jose, my service advisor, was professional and did not push additional parts or services. Very nice. I used discount coupons to offset the BS 10% "shop supplies" charges most shops like to tack on to the bill these days to mask the real cost of the service you authorize. Get on their mail/email list to receive coupons. If it wasn't for the shop supplies charge, I would have awarded 5 stars. read more

The service has always been timely and professional. What I did not like this time, was the service representative selling my wife additional services. I sent her to get an oil change and nothing else. I understand that there will be additional services recommended depending the on the vehicle's mileage, but these service should be offered at the time the appointment is being made and not at the last minute. My wife does not know anything about cars and if the representative makes it sound like it's very important she get the service done, she will end up agreeing specially since she cannot call me while I'm at work to confirm the recommended services. Additional services can be costly and throw someone's budget out the window if they were not planning on it. read more

Was trying to get availability and pricing from the dealer's internet director. I was buying the vehicle for a family member as a gift so really didn't need to test drive or get a sales pitch. Also, I have some physical limitations so couldn't sit in a dealership all day to get a sales pitch, haggle or TEST DRIVE the car....especially since it isn't for me. Just give me a price . I have purchased 3 cars online without ever seeing/driving the cars. I ended up putting a deposit on a car at another dealership last night that may be more expensive than these guys....but at least they gave me a price and delivery date. Just purchased our new Kia Optima on Tuesday. We met Al Burke a few weeks ago on a Saturday evening when he should have been headed home for the night. My husband and I had only stopped to walk around the lot, as we knew the dealership was closed. But....much to our surprise, Al was on his way home, but he took the time to answer questions, and took us into the showroom and let us look at the inside of the car. The Kia car is very good for warranty, but the engine is not that strong liked others cars: Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and other Japanese cars! I am consider to buy it because of their warranty, but I am not making my decision yet! Right now, we have a few Toyota cars and they are still driving very good and we are loving them! Okay to start off, the advertised price on the internet is not what you will pay. There are multiple rebates that are not talked about. You have to be a recent college grad, served in the military, and, not or, be an uber driver. If you somehow qualify for those, you still are not going to pay the price advertised, but you are within $2000 as they add on paint protection?$800 window tint$800. Down the street it's $150, and something about Kia paying you money if your car is stolen. Not an option to decline as they put it on all cars. In all my years I have never come across a dealership like this. I did purchase, but only because I am in sales and appreciated the time my sales person spent with me. We scheduled our SUV in for maintenance for a tire that was losing air and the sensor was coming on regularly so we guessed there was something wrong with the tire, which nothing was visible upon inspection, however the tech found two nails embedded in the tire. They removed the nails, filled the holes in the tire and it is good as new. We are regular customers and they did not charge us for the service of fixing the tires. The technician also did a safety inspection and found the battery i had purchased under two years ago was needing replaced, which i did not know, and they found it was still under warranty, so no charge either. It was nice to know that the technician was looking out for our best interest and safety, and not having a bill for this appointment was great. I have all of my maintenance and detailing services at Horne Kia since they are thorough, professional, detail oriented and really do care about their customers. I recently financed a 2018 Kia Stinger from this dealership, oh probably about 1 week ago and had recently signed the final loan agreement just yesterday. Turns out the credit union they got the agreement from, Bellco credit union which is currently based in Colorado, has very poor consumer reviews regarding loan transactions such as online payments and late fees. Many customers who have/ had an auto loan with this lender have reported being dinged on their credit for "making a payment late" when most, of not all, state they paid at least a few days before the due date and on top of that they receive late fees that they are obligated to pay for due to the customer service at Bellco being horrendous in regards to providing reasoning behind these situations. On top of all of this my credit is pretty good being over 700 and still ended up having to finance it for 7.44% APR. I understand I signed for these terms but I emailed Wayne Zapata, the financier on this deal, about this lender the same day I signed and got no response. It's been 24 hours since I emailed him and still nothing. The fact that they partner with such terrible lenders is mind boggling to me and with that being said I will never go through Horne Kia to finance a vehicle ever again. You guys are pathetic for trying to scam people like this. read more

I'm honestly shocked at the three star rating for this location! I came in on Saturday with my parents just simply looking at cars, because I'm a new buyer, and this would be my first car. We were greeted on the lot by a friendly, older gentleman named Eric. He asked what we were looking for, and we were upfront about merely looking, and not buying. He asked who the car was for, and I mentioned that it was for me, and that I was a first time buyer. He asked what my budget was, and I was super honest and said that I had no idea. I was driving an '01 Ford Focus that has 118,000 miles on it, and was literally being held together by clear masking tape. I just wanted a reliable, realistic, functional car. He walked us over to the used car lot and was very honest about all the cars "this has this mileage" "this one will last you this long" "this is similar to this" and just being all around very helpful. We found two used, pre-owned, cars that I absolutely fell in love with. One was a manual, so that option flew right out the window. The next was a White 2007 Toyota Camry XLE. I have a friend who works in a car dealership and owns a camry himself, so I figured it was a good car. The Camry is now 10 years old, and doesn't even have 62,000 miles on it. It was beautiful, inside and out, and I was trying to contain my excitement, and play hard ball a little (I am my father's daughter). Eric lets me take it on a test drive, and let's my dad come along, because I was nervous as could be driving a car that was not my own! We get back to the dealership, and I cannot contain how smitten I am with this car. I was already naming it. We huddle in the super nice lobby with our complimentary waters and snacks and trying to think over the car, even though to me it was a no brainer! We looked up the make and model on Kelley Blue Book and saw what it normally runs for. We countered with an offer, which they met and exceeded our expectations on the car. Eric was very thorough and let me know step-by-step what I was going through, and kept telling me about his daughter and how she was in the same shoes as me (which is a good selling tactic, but it was clear he was being genuine). When it came to the financing department, we were helped by a gentleman named Wayne, who was all smiles, very polite, and super easy to talk to. He walked me through every bit of paperwork and re-explained things countless times to make sure that I understood fully what I was signing and agreeing to. He made sure that I made the best out of the situation, and that my monthly costs wouldn't go up too much with some upgrades (my monthly cost actually ended up coming down!) All in all, I went just to look and left with a nearly brand new car. I love it, and couldn't have been happier with my experience. It was a VERY long day, that went by as smoothly, quickly, and efficiently as possible. I hope I don't have to go again soon, but I definitely know where I will be returning! read more

I had a 4 pm appt. I met my advisor, Andrea, who was very helpful and curteous. My car was taken for an oil change within minutes of me arriving. Andrea came to me with some concerns they had about my vehicle without any pressure to get these items serviced at that time. My vehicle was done within the time frame he said it would be. They have a nice waiting area for adults and children, which made it very nice for my 4 year old. Overall very happy with the service and price. read more

Firstly I wish there was an option to choose zero stars. I purchased a Kia Soul a year ago and have been regretting it ever since. I was only at the dealership for an oil change but the saleman followed me around and was trying to get me to look at new cars and convinced me that because me warranty was almost expired that I would screwed if I didn't buy a new car. The salesman first promised to keep my payment the same as they were for my old car. We looked at vehicles and found one the same model just a couple of years newer. Then the salesman pressured me into a higher down payment and made me feel very uncomfortable. When it was done I had to drive back to the dealer multiple times because they had to recomplete paper work or they "lost" certain documents. I wish had listened to my gut because I never would have signed the papers. But he brought a manager over, it was a high pressure deal and I felt like I couldn't leave until I bought the car because they had taken so much time to check on financing and "help me" despite that the payments were higher than they promised. Now I am finding out that I was oversold and now a year later I am upside down in a car that I am unable to refinance because of my loan to value ratio. Now I really am screwed. The salesperson told me over and over that with my credit I could refinance in a year and get my payments lowered. I feel scammed. This was the worst experience I i have ever had. My last Kia I purchased from Earnhardt Kia, that experience was an absolute dream compared to this. I recommend skipping Horne Kia and making the drive to a better dealership where they don't pressure you into making financial decisions that will screw you over for years to come.
