I am very impressed with Horn's Collision Center. I went to several places with good Yelp reviews to collect bids. All the prices quoted were comparable, but the cars in the Horn shop sold me. It's always an unpleasant feeling when you get rear-ended and you see your car damaged through no fault of your own. Then all these scenarios come into your head: where do I get my car fixed and will it be the same after it's been repaired? After all, you don't really think much about body shops until you really need one. Well, I am happy to report that I found a reputable and professional body shop - Horn's Collision Center in Long Beach. When I took my Pathfinder in for an initial estimate, the owner Patrick personally came out and took a careful look at my car, along with photographs and explained to me what needed to be repaired. He also took note of my concerns with the alignment. Right afterward, he drafted an estimate that I was able to send to the at-fault insurance company. This all took less than 20 minutes. After 2 weeks, the insurance company finally approved the repair and I dropped off the SUV at the shop. John called up Hertz to pick me up (they have an arrangement with Hertz), and assured me that I don't have to worry about anything at all. That took about 20 minutes, so again minimal waiting time on my part. They gave me periodic updates during the repair, and John told me that they don't settle for inferior parts, which I appreciated. The SUV took about 3 weeks to repair, and when I picked it up they had just finished doing a complete detail on the car. It looked like it just rolled off the dealer's lot. Patrick showed me the liftgate and the bumper that were repaired, and compared it to the damaged parts. My 5 year old son even noticed how great the car looked. The pick-up process took only about 30 minutes, and we just waited in their comfortable waiting area. At the end, Patrick provided me a complete summary of what they had done. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a family-run and trustworthy body shop. They do quality work and it shows in the finished product. read more

This place is awesome! I have had a variety of dings, dents, scrapes, bumps, gashes, etc. The clear coat was coming off the back and it just looked bad. It poked bad enough that all I could hear was "I need a new car." Well, I don't have $$ for that so it was time to bite the bullet and make my 2008 Honda Civic look nice again. I went to four different spots for quotes. Everyone seemed nice enough, but Horn's was the least expensive. Now, don't misread that I'm cheap. Horn's was the nicest crew, the best waiting room, the cleanest shop and didn't feel at all "shady" like a couple of the other shops that just randomly gave figures for the estimate. I was lucky enough to deal with Patrick, the owner. He was very friendly, explaining that I would not need an entire auto paint job and saved me money on buying a "used" new bumper. Patrick even set me up with a rental car. When I got the car back, I couldn't believe the difference! It is amazing! Not only the body work that was done, but the little things like the headlights and the interior. It's a whole new car! My car was a disaster when I brought it to HCC, espeically the front end, all because my buddy drove it straight to the curb... thinking it was a driveway -__- . My car was in a dire need of a face lift so I went here around early November to get a quote on my Silver 2007 Toyota Camry LE. The initial inspection of my car took about 10 minutes and another 15-20 minutes to produce the quote. Good to say under 25-30 minutes for a complete quote. The original estimation of completion on this job was three weeks, and the job consisted of the following: A Lexus "Pearl White" paint job(door jams and everything), all around Camry SE spoiler kit, all around minor body work due to dings here and there. On December 7 2011, unfortunately my car was involved in a hit-in-run. Before bringing my car in to Horn's, I had already filed a police report on the incident and contacted my insurance. On the same day, I brought my car in to Horn's Collision Center, I told the represented(Patrick H.) that I wanted to go ahead and get everything else done that we previously talked about also. I asked him for an estimation of completion and he stated three weeks still. I'm not sure if he meant three weeks on top of the three weeks due to the extra work on the car. All I said after that was "are you sure?" and he simply stated "yes." I was a little surprise on his answer and didn't think to ask him twice for clarification. Long story short, it took longer than three weeks, but I would have been shocked if it was done in three weeks though. The job took a about double the time. Brought the car in on December 7, 2011 and drove off the Collision Center on Friday January 20, 2012.I mean, understandably, the job is going to take longer do to more work but it would been nice if they'd communicated that to me. The only reason why I gave this place Four Stars instead of Five Stars it took longer than estimated, I had to check out the progress in person plenty of times to make sure everything was done right. For example, when I went in to check on my car, they had on a painted dual exhaust spoiler when my car only has a single exhaust. At the moment, I was like, "What the hell??" but they saw that I was unhappy and immediately corrected it. (didn't know what they were thinking.) After that was corrected a couple days later they called me to come in and check it out. So, I did and now I found a couple more things that still needed to be corrected such as one of my bulbs popped? and my license plate light were not working. (everything was corrected the next day for pick up though.) Just a couple of detailed things that I wished they'd pay a little more attention to. Don't get me wrong though because the end result was magnificent! Not only that, the customer service I received was awesome, I'd definitely would recommend them to my friends and family. Also, if I weren't happy with anything, they would fix it. When it comes down to it, I would rather have it take longer and done right instead of getting something not done completely right but finish faster. && I can't say enough about the quality of paint job on my car. It truly looks like a brand new car. The Pearl White paint absolutely stands out and is an eye catcher! Also, the paint and work they do has a life time warranty on it which shows me that they stand behind their work and business. There are a few nick-nacks here and there, but my advice to that is get everything straightened out up front, make sure both sides communicate and understand each other completely. The positives definitely out weighted the negatives by a margin and that resulted in a happy customer. The team went to bat for me with the insurance company who did not fully inspect the damage to my front bumper from a minor fender bender. It took a little longer but the final result was well worth it. Listen up! Go here for your check engine light, oil changes and tune-ups. I was wondering, 'why is my Camry getting low gas mileage?' I thought that I had been keeping up with normal scheduled maintenance work, so what's going on? Well, the mechanic ran a thorough check on my car and visually inspected most of the connections and figured it out. I ended up needing to replace the air filter and spark plugs. Easy. Even with same day service, I had use of the loaner vehicle so I could run errands while my car was in the shop. Owner Patrick is very friendly and was personable. He came out and we had some small chat when I dropped it off and picked it up. He assured me that the car would look brand new. Came back next day and he kept his word. His price was half of the other guys, which made me skeptical at first. But upon seeing my spotless shiny car, the hype is real, folks. Everyone had great experiences with Horns so I expected the same as well when I took my car to them. I brought my car in after a hit and run after the tow truck guy suggested them because of the great work they did and the satisfied referrals he got got back .Communication is everything. I've experienced in the past with other shops that they usually keep you updated on things frequently but with Horns it wasn't like that. I had to call them many times for an update on the car because after dropping it off after a week then two, I heard nothing. I finally got an update when I called and asked to speak to Calvin thanks to Yelp. He informed me of the car progress and put me at ease. A courtesy call to update the customers would've been nice instead of me chasing for the status myself. Well a few weeks later I got my car back and it look as though nothing happened- I was pretty satisfied. Two weeks later, my car started making noise. I took it in and had to leave my car for a couple of hours. I thought everything was all good again but now- literally about a week and a half later my car is making noise AGAIN. This time a different noise. I called to speak to someone to let them know what was going on but the receptionist told me to just bring it in. I have a pretty hectic schedule so having car problems really put a strain on me so speaking to someone to hear what the problem may be could have put my mind to rest, now I have to wait for the weekend to bring it in and hopefully it's nothing major. I brought in my 01 Acura Integra for a paint job due to it being in a hail storm in Texas. The car had dents everywhere. After taking to Horn's Collision Center the car looks brand new. Here is a breakdown of how I rated Horn's Collision Center; Bodywork (10/10): Before coming to HCC I collected some parts (fenders, bumper, etc...) because it was easier to replace than to restore. But for the rest of the car they did an amazing job, the body is smooth and everything lined up perfectly. They even did some extra work where i asked them to shave down my antenna and roll my fenders. Paint (9/10): The paint job looks amazing! The color really pops in the sunlight! One of the issues that I have though is that in some area there are these little dimples in the clear coat which could be fixed with some detailing. The other is I can see a perfect line on the roof of my car showing a lighter color transitioning to a darker color. I was told that color sanding would fix that. Detailing (3/10): I have to give them a low rating here because their detailer really missed the mark. When I got my car back there were a few areas that needed to be color sanded more like the dimples in my clear coat and over spray. They fixed the majority of those issues when I took it back to them 2/3 weeks after receiving my car, but I can still see some areas that they have missed. I can still see some dimples on the areas I asked them to fix. Also the line on my roof is still there. Customer Service (10/10): The customer service is amazing! Calvin helped me out through the whole process and made some suggestions to where it will make the car look better. He took in my car right away to fix the issues that I've mention above even when they were super busy. The lifetime warranty is great! Overall I am happy with how my car looks and I know that they will fix those issues I've stated above. I would have given them 5 stars but for the time the car was there and money I paid I was expecting perfection the first time. Would I recommend them...Yes I would recommend them. Overall they did a great job on my car minus the detailing, the customer service was amazing, and lifetime warranty is a plus. read more
