Friendly staff Uncommon to add cherry tomatoes to a poke bowl Good portion Good sauce I'd ask for extra sauce since I like it saucy

I am at a lost for words with how good the food was here. I tried to get sushi that I would not usually get, for example spicy mayo rolls with crab in it. I do not like spice but i loved these rolls. I went to school here for four years and just found out about sushi here. The calamari was honestly one of the best i have ever had. It was crispy but also fresh and topped off with freshly cut lemon was fantastic. My friend came with me and she was not very hungry and just ordered a miso soup but after seeing how good my food was, she ate so much more.

Today was my first time at Horu and I really enjoyed my vegetarian hurricane roll. It was a tad pricey, but absolutely delicious and looked beautiful; I will definitely order it again. I'm looking forward to returning in slightly colder weather to try their ramen!

Ok sushi. Heavy on the rice. Slim on the filling . Charges extra for ginger & wasabi- Never experienced that before. Does allow lots of additions.

Good sushi and hot wasabi, also very convenient. Ambiance is variable but I keep going back and I don't usually eat fish!

Good quality sushi with gluten free accommodations. The snow crab roll is my favorite. Definitely on the pricier side, but worth it to me.

And to say it was underwhelming would be an understatement. I mean this experience might have been worse than the season finale of game of thrones. My wife ordered the oxtails and green jollof rice. First off, the rice tasted like wet grass. The oxtail was a sad excuse for oxtail. For context my wife is Caribbean so I've had my share of delicious oxtail, their oxtail tasted like they simply didn't even try. Now let's get to my food. I ordered the simplest thing on the menu the Steak and Frites. I'll give it to them the frites were pretty decent, but that's where my compliments end. I ordered my steak medium like a decent human being. The first steak came out and tasted like what I imagine an old used tire taste like, it was well done by the way. The next steak that came out 20 minutes later although closer to medium was surprisingly worse. It's was extremely rubbery with zero flavor. All together I would not recommend. The fact they sell this sad excuse for food is baffling. Sincerely, A concerned customer

Disclaimer: Late review!…read more How do I not have a review! Shame on me! We made an impromptu reservation at Huncho House. We got to the restaurant and were welcomed to a sign that read, "make our way to 1123". Thank goodness it's directly across the street. We walked into 1123 and they honored the entire experience as if they were Huncho House, complimentary champagne, yay; nothing was amiss. We were able to order off the Huncho House menu which I was happy about because that is where we wanted to dine. For those that don't know, Huncho House is a little treasure in the College Park area. Everything is always good and Chef Tobias menu never misses! Let's get into it! Deviled Eggs - They put a fried shrimp on top! These are a fave! Wagyu Cheesesteak Egg Rolls - OMG good! Oyster Rockefeller- Delicious! Chicken Parmigiana- Fantastic! Lamb Chops - Full of flavor! Filet Mignon - Soft, seasoned to perfection! Crab Oscar - perfect touch! Sides: Must do Lobster Mash, Crab Mac and Cheese! A fan of anything Chef Tobias! Come you WILL not be disappointed!

We started with the sashimi appetizer for $12. There were 6 large pieces...salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. All fresh and very very good. The wasabi was even of high quality. The sushi rolls were pick any 2 for $13. Absolutely fantastic rolls. I came in for the volcano bowl and I would come back again for the volcano bowl. I like a spicy broth and this was perfect. The curly noodles were just the right size and they were freshly made. The pork was very high quality and was a great treat. The Akira ramen was not spicy, but was still very tasty. The skinny noodles are wheat noodles, but didn't taste any different from regular noodles. The bento box was very good as well. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the teriyaki sauce was excellent. The waitress was really good and finished the night with some complimentary bites of the mochi. Great night, great food, great people! Compliments to all from the servers to the chefs!

Easy access to a garage that's just around the corner because it is on a very busy street. So garage parking is a must. I don't believe they have been open too long as they are still working on their liquor license. Very cute restaurant nice and tidy but a lot of personality in a small space. I was greeted when I walked in and since I was by myself I opted to sit at the sushi bar area. I forgot to take a picture of my food when I came out because I was so hungry...but the rolls were delicious and fresh. I also took some ramen home and I loved how they packaged everything up for me. I would give them a 3.75 stars because I wish they offered more ramen like beef and with the chicken broth not chicken that's fried. As the chicken was soggy and not eatable when I got home even though it was separated from the ramen. I would give them another try if I'm in the area to try more rolls and their alcohol selection.

The decor was lovely and the ambiance represented an upscale experience in my opinion. They even offered free champagne and it was good! My friend and I tried: the Sticky Ribs Suya, Jerk-Braised Short Ribs with Curry Pea Risotto, Oxtail Mac & Cheese, and the Suya-Spiced Lamb Chops. All of the food was absolutely delicious, my only gripe would be that the lamb chops didn't come with enough green beans. The "Up All Night" (their version of an espresso martini) was also pretty good. Next time, I'd opt to get a traditional espresso martini though. Lastly, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was very kind, attentive, and timely. We even left her an extra tip. If I had to make a suggestion, the big ape could be moved elsewhere. It really does take up too much space.

Service was decent, location is OK, interior decor was cool & photo worthy, food and cocktails are great, entrees come in big portions. Tried the suya potato hash side- great flavor, now if they were crispy they would've been perfect. For entree got the fish & grits (comes with fried catfish atop a bed of grits with crawfish etouffee sauce finish). It's nice that they have a shellfish free etouffee sauce option to accommodate shellfish allergies. Tried the By Your Side (apricot henny sidecar) cocktail and Osaka 53 which were great- cocktails were pricey though, aka DC priced at $22 a cocktail and they don't display pricing on the cocktail menu. They don't have a dessert menu for brunch but offered us plantain bread pudding which was a decent size and came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, wasn't bad. Suggested improvements: lower cocktail prices, offer nicer cocktail menus (it was a folded piece of paper), let guests know gratuity is already included in the check total, and include something complimentary for special occasions.
