This is one of my favorite spots within Le Fantom Food Hall. The sushi is always so good and prepared nicely. I've had the opportunity to try several dishes here. There are regular sushi rolls, sashimi, ramen bowls, and even vegan sushi. - Quality. Delicious! I purposely ordered sushi that has avocado, sashimi, and not a whole bunch of sauce, because I wanted to enjoy the raw fish. Everything was fresh and not overly flavored. I could taste the avocado, which was fresh and not overly mushy. They're located in a plaza with Whole Foods, other shops, and other restaurants. There's also a good amount of parking available in the plaza. What's not - Menu variety. There are a few things I wish their menu would have like bento boxes, udon, and sashimi bowls. I love ramen, but I also love chewy udon. I am at a lost for words with how good the food was here. I tried to get sushi that I would not usually get, for example spicy mayo rolls with crab in it. I do not like spice but i loved these rolls. I went to school here for four years and just found out about sushi here. The calamari was honestly one of the best i have ever had. It was crispy but also fresh and topped off with freshly cut lemon was fantastic. My friend came with me and she was not very hungry and just ordered a miso soup but after seeing how good my food was, she ate so much more. read more

They have just fallen off. We've been coming here since the beginning. Initially the sushi was decent but it was NEVER wrapped tightly. Each piece always fell apart. That's annoying bit fine. Today I ordered sushi but it was thru the qr code app which they packaged for pick up. We were eating outside but that's OK. So I ordered pot stickers and 2 sushi rolls. Got pick up here for the first time the other night. We got three sushi rolls, pot stickers, and edamame. The pot stickers and the rainbow roll were excellent. Both simple, but flavorful. We liked the snow crab roll and would consider ordering it again. The Hamachi Tempura Roll was a miss; came with too much sauce on top (which seems to be a growing trend in suburban sushi). Portions just aren't worth the price for the poke bowl. I got the sashimi one and barely had any meat in it. There was loads or cucumbers and avocado, but the fish was chopped into tiny pieces and almost seemed like a topping they just sprinkled on top. I ate it hoping there was more on the bottom but there was none. I lived in Hawaii for a good while and got to see what the portions should be. Recommendation: keep it simple. An eel roll came with an overabundance of cream cheese; another was to come with truffle oil: good salmon, great avocado, not a hint of truffle oil; another was supposed to be a hamachi roll with deep fried hamachi, or at least that's how I understood it. The whole roll was fried. It was not terribly good. It could have been anything but hamachi, which is one of my favorites. You couldn't tell. A lot of money for three special rolls that probably could have been better spent on nigiri and just plain sushi. I am alive without any major tummy grumbles, and in all fairness, there was no hint that the fish was anything but fresh. It's a small menu. There is no excuse not to serve stellar product for these stellar prices. Nearly 70 dollars for three special rolls and two small bottles of bottled water is a lot to charge for counter service. This place is wild. I excepted it to be a fairly normal sushi bar, but I was wrong. It's a food court style design, which does make sense for a newer business. The music was nuts. A modern country song, followed by an unedited Kendrick Lamar song, followed my a pop song that sounded like it was straight out of the worship set at your local mega church. Sensory whiplash for sure. I ordered an eel roll, miso soup, and a sparkling water. my total was right around $20, not bad for sushi. I got my order and it had a spring roll and miso soup. They fixed it and hey, I got a free spring roll! Eating miso soup with a small plastic spoon feels wrong, but I did get chopsticks for my roll. This is the best sushi I have ever had. They make everything well but it can be pricey. I recommend getting the Truffle Salmon and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. The truffle salmon will melt in your mouth and is especially good with the sauces they provide. They can make the Truffle Salmon GF-friendly. The HORU staff are extremely welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. If you are looking for a great bite, I could not recommend Horu more! read more

$20 for a roll that isn't mind blowing is a rip off. I got the Nashville Hot Roll, which was fine but very heavy in the rice and definitely not worth $20. Honestly I've had better sushi from Wegmans for half the price. I came to this food hall as it was recommended as a lunch spot in the DC area on Eater. I would say this food hall doesn't really seem worth the trip. It's mostly ghost kitchens and there's barely any seating. You're better off going to the Whole Foods next door for lunch- it will cheaper and just as good. read more

Good quality sushi with gluten free accommodations. The snow crab roll is my favorite. Definitely on the pricier side, but worth it to me.
