Some of the best Hookah I've had in the city. Well made, smokes well. Service is friendly and the environment is intimate and well decorated. They are true to their hours, which is nice because you know they're gonna be open if you come down. I recommend going here in a small group for a nice pick me up. Had a blast at Horus. I went to the other Horus on E 10th st not sure if it was owned by the same people or not? Either way both places are awesome. The music here was on point and so was the food. The hookah was a bit pricey for me but that was ok. The decor on the inside is what you would want a hookah lounge to look like. Dark or dim with a cool laid back vibe. The host was really cool and offered to charge phones if need be at the bar. If you check in here on yelp, you will get a glass of wine. I mean why not? I have been this to this place 3 times now, main reason for my visits have been the hookah. I have also had drinks at this place and they have never been good. My recent visit on September 11th, 2024 wasn't great. Me and my sister both ordered Moscow mules and they were bad. The drink tasted watered down and the alcohol tasted weird, not like regular alcohol. When the server brought out my drink it had a dead fly inside, I immediately called her back to the table and showed her it. I understand that sometimes things like this happen and in my opinion, how the server handles the problem is what matters in a situation like that . In this case she seemed annoyed at me for bringing it to her attention and asking her to switch the drink, which I did not appreciate . She later gave me and my sister a shot on the house which was sweet of her to do after the inconvenience with my drink, but for some reason the alcohol just tasted very odd. Stopped by on a Wednesday after having a birthday dinner nearby. We wanted to continue the merriment from dinner drinks and took the party here. We ordered mint pineapple shishas and a couple of pitchers of sangria and mojitos. Not much of a surprise that the mojitos were weak, but as we already had a few drinks we made the best of it. The sangrias proved to be better tasting and stronger. The waitress seemed to be a bit reluctant to seat us at first (large party about 10 or more people), but ended up being was attentive at checking our coals and keeping the drinks going through the night. Deducting 2 stars because someone burned her calf on the exposed radiator pipes. It's November and in such a small place precaution should be taken to make sure everything is covered. When she spoke to the "manager" he just laughed it off, went to the back and seemed to continue laughing at her. Visit Dates: 03.07-03.09.2010 A friend of mine who is a regular customer of this place took a group of me and my friends out for some shisha (hookah). Yep, we ended up going three nights straight. It's a very intimate, relaxed, albeit small place for good quality hookah. I had only done hookah two times prior to this (once in Shanghai, the other in Jacksonville), and this place is serious about its hookah, coming by periodically to refresh the coals. As for the food, I had hors d'oeuvres consisting of hummus, baba ganoush, salad, and other items. I also had the lamb sasuage kebab which was a bit dry but still enjoyable nonetheless. My only complaints are that it can get a bit stuffy inside, so it's best to get some fresh air, and the prices are a bit up there for my tastes. They don't serve iced water which is a bummer, meaning you have to order bottled water. read more

I hear from people a lot of the time that a place was so bad that if they didn't write a review of the place it would be an injustice to everybody else. I have a lot of bad experiences, but this place is the first one that I have come across in which I felt that if I didn't review this place it is a complete injustice to potential consumers. Like a few of the other yelpers on here, my friends and I came here because this was our only option in the Hell's Kitchen area... I was already apprehensive since this place only had 2.5 stars. That is definitely for good reason as I found out first hand, except the 2.5 stars is definitely a generous rating... We showed up at this place and they were packed and we needed to wait 20 minutes. My friend couldn't wait that long and had to hookah right away. We were going to leave, but were informed that there is another side that is through this non-descript door on the right of the place... Before they can open this area up for us, they said they will only open it if we spend $30 at least. Oh that's it? that's not an issue. But no, it's $30 per person. We said there's no way we can spend $180... So we said no thanks and they quickly changed to saying oh we mean just don't only order 1 hookah for 3 people. So we proceed to go in. First off this side area was super small, cramped and definitely a fire hazard since we didn't have any walking room unless we moved multiple chairs and tables... We sit down and the waitress tells us we need to spend a minimum of $30 a person... Ugh... Communication fail? So I go outside with a friend and speak to the bouncer who reiterates what we had already discussed, and then said he will go get the manager to double check. So I go back inside with my friend. The manager comes in and then says that we needs to spend $30 a person. Ugh... But 5 minutes ago you said just spend at least $30 and don't just order a hookah. Then he changes this again... We assured him we will at least order two hookahs and drinks for everybody. We ordered 2 hookahs, 5 teas, 1 shake, an order of fries and a lamb kabob plate. The hookahs and tea came out almost immediately. One of the hookah pipes was taped together... Please refer to pictures, obviously this is unsafe both to our health for smoking from it and the glass potentially shattering at any moment... This doesn't help their cause... We ordered 4 Moroccan teas and 1 hibiscus tea. 3 tea pots come out. Waitress says these are Moroccan teas and then 1 more tea pot comes out and she said it was the hibiscus tea. Well being that I'm quite good at math 3+1 did not seem to add up to 5 for me so I said, "we ordered 4 Moroccan teas". The waitress answers with, "Yes, each pot is 2 orders, so I actually gave you 2 free orders of Moroccan tea and 1 free order of hibiscus tea." Oh well excuse me, here I thought I was losing 1 tea when in actuality I was gaining 3!!! NICEEEEE THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Apparently they charge about $4 for boiled water per person. Just note, never order the same thing. So all is fine now except all this weirdness and my thought was I bet they will add in gratuity because this place sucks and I would not tip at all. But wait no, the lamb kabob comes out, after over ONE HOUR! And then another 10-15 minutes pass and we get our order of fries(which was not seasoned, except for the fries on the bottom). Why did this take so long you may wonder? Well here's my theory. They waited for the lamb to be born, then raised it, had a slaughtering ritual and then cooked it for us. The fries, which took longer obviously involved more work. My belief is they needed to genetically modify a potato and then test for the perfect strain before growing the potato that they then harvested, cut up and fried for us. I'm really glad that I received the freshest food in the world. Thanks Horus Too for your commitment to quality. So we ask for the check, lo and behold, 18% gratuity added and the check ended up being $30 per person. We paid exact change down to the cent. After leaving we realized we might have been overcharged. Then reading the comments here on Yelp, I realized that much have been the case, because 2 hookahs, 5 teas, a shake, fries, a kabob and 2 waters. That plus an 18% gratuity should not be $180 and change because that means we spent around $160? BTW they do not mention on any menus that they include an 18% gratuity anywhere, which I thought was a standard practice of all ethical restaurants and bars. For anybody that goes here, double check the itemized bill to make sure you are actually paying for what you ordered cause they will overcharge you. Hookah: I have no complaints about the hookah since they have the good coconut charcoal that's smooth. Pricing, on the other hand, is above average for their 'special' hookah that's not so special. I would suggest creating your own hookah for just $30. A pineapple bowl with melon and mint is a mix that you can't go wrong with. Decor: Small, but they created a nice ambience. Service: We did not order food, but drinks and hookah did not disappoint and were quickly served. This place is really cool, super super small, we went to the hookah bar, sat close to the door (which it was cold this night) so every time the door opened we froze. And also the front door area leaks air from Outside so it's alittle chilly, the service was awesome. We ordered a bottle of sparkling rose and the melon grape Hookah. All really good. Tried to get lunch here with two coworkers. Ordered our meals and bottled water, since they don't serve tap water. We have been here several times and always enjoyed the food and drink, the hookah and the overall ambiance has always been really fun. We have come as just a two person table and also late night where about 8-10 of us were having fun and being rowdy (but still polite enough to get great service). The staff had a great time with us when we were a larger group and even offered their iPhone when we requested specific songs. We made lots of great memories here. As for the menu, the fattoush salad is always absolutely fresh and delicious and I often crave this so much that I order it from seamless and it always hits the spot! All of the falafel and chicken dishes were fresh and very tasty. The space is small, yes, but I kinda like that, you can wander in solo or with a big group and not feel like you're being rushed off of your table. 5 stars to Horus Too, we have never had a bad experience here! Was in NYC last weekend and we were looking for a hookah bar in midtown. Found this place on Yelp and thought we would check it out. It's very narrow with one long row of tables. They offer food, beverages, and hookah. We opted for a couple glasses of red sangria which were great! Didn't order food as it was after 11 pm on a Sunday night but did order a grape and melon hookah. The hookah comes in a pineapple base and you can choose up to 3 flavors for $35.
