There was outdoor seating but we were hot and needed shade. it was early afternoon, so the lunch crowd had cleared. We sat and relaxed and enjoyed our drinks. Then, we ordered some sweet treats. Best lasagna in Venice! I don't eat pork, we found it very hard to find Lasagna in Italy that doesn't not have pork. I looked at the menu outside the establishment, and once I found out there was no pork in the lasagna, I had to give it a shot. They are known for their seafood, which my wife ordered and loved. Our waiter was very nice, everyone was friendly, and they even offered to take a picture of us in front of their lovely wall decor. I would highly recommend this place. read more

Went for a quick snack a drink with friends. The drinks were served late and they delayed the order on one of my friend's drinks. My friend didn't get their drink until we finished our round. As we were seated next to the bar, she made several drinks instead of my friend's drink. She then, made the drink but seemed unsure if she made it correctly. The drink was an Irish coffee, very common and not hard to make. Horrible service because they're unapologetic about their mistakes. There are better options within the area. The worst service in Rome. The food and pricing were ok. But our waiter was terrible, I wished I could remember his name to put him on blast but he just stood there acting like he was a model and not focusing on his customers. And when you called him over he would make a face like you're bothering him. The only time he gave you his attention and he actually just stood there next to you is when he gave you the check and points out the tip is not included so you can give him one. Smh. After a long day in the coliseum we stopped at one of the closest places to the coliseum. The service was a awful and the food wasn't that great. They messed up our order and brought a salad instead of what we ordered it took 40 mins for that and then proceeded to take 40 more minutes after what we ordered. Then at that point we just wanted to get drinks and took just as long getting two cokes. Would not recommend. Even if it's a long day I would recommend walking past this restaurant. read more

The spaghetti and meatballs is just slightly better than chef Boyardee from a can. The meatballs were dry, falling apart, and tasteless. The pizza wasn't half bad but it definitely wasn't the best I've had. This is clearly a tourist trap, but I was running late and needed a bite. I unfortunately had to give a star but the servers and manager was RUDE!!! I simply needed directions and the hostess (black girl) walked away from me and said I don't know. I asked the manager and he said he doesn't know and wouldn't help me at all!!! I told them ill make sure to let everyone know how inhospitable you are!! The manager brushed me off as if I was bothering them. I asked if they had facebook and they told me no. It's obvious when their not getting good reviews. Th café café next door was awesome. Gladiatore is directly across from the Coliseum. So this was the main reason we ate there for lunch. They have some covered outdoor seating but we sat inside in the air conditioning which was working well. Service was good and friendly, English speaking. We ordered and they had no problems with adjusting the food for my daughter. We had spaghetti (plain with oil and cheese only), pizza, Caesar salad and the Rosetta (sandwich of cheese and tomato). All food was very good and came out quickly. A couple beers, a water and 2 sodas and our bill was 64.00 including 4.00 of seating charges, no service charge but it's basically the same thing. read more

Don't bother. Overpriced. The meatballs we had were dry and tasted like cardboard and smelled like cat food. The restrooms were horrible, smelled of urine, no soap in the dispenser and to top it all off there were used sanitary products all over the stall floor. read more

Decent food but terrible service. Our server Luigi (Luga) was just about the worst server I have encountered. My wife and I were completely ignored while he spent most of his time flirting with a couple of other female customers. We repeatedly had to ask for bread/water which he never brought so we had to ask another waiter. Then, we asked him for some olive oil and he rolled his eyes and walked to a different table. Again, we had to ask another waiter to bring it for us. We complained to the other waiters about his behavior and he stood in the corner with a smirk on his face, as if enjoying the situation! If I could rate lower than one star I would. We stopped in here for a break to grab some drinks, a snack and to soak up some AC after spending about 4 hours in the hot Si at Forum, Palatine Hill & Colosseum. We were seated and ordered rather quickly, as the place was NOT busy at all. We were served our drinks and waited for our food. And waited. And waited. 45 mins later a table across the way that sat after us had already been served and was nearly finished with their meal and we waited. After an hour we decided we were done. We left some money on the table for drinks and walked out. As a business located in the Piazza de Colosseo where real estate is prime you would think they would cater to tourists a little better but NO.......WAS AWFUL!!! I will NEVER return!!! read more

I like that the restaurants menu is in at least 4 languages to try to accommodate visitors. The service was okay. The best item was their lasagna (I could have eaten it every day)! We sat in the outdoor seating and smoking is allowed. We ordered bottled water however what they brought out was a refillable glass bottle. This ultimately gave the person who ordered the water stomach issues for the next day or two. Other then that it was a good experience. read more

The fettucine Alfredo had absolutely no flavor, the lasagna tasted like it was straight out of a chef-boy-ardee can, and they charge €1,50 as a "table charge" claiming everywhere in center of Rome has to pay, even Italians, but it's not posted anywhere and none of the other 10 restaurants I dined at in center of Rome charged it, save your money, go elsewhere. The only thing going for them is that they are close to the coliseum but it's overpriced and the food is rubbish. Take your photos of the beautiful masterpiece, but head elsewhere to eat. read more

My major complaint is that when trying to pay for the meal the man at the register told me he had no change when I wanted to break a 10 euro bill to leave a tip. really? At noon on a Sunday? The food was really good and it was quite close to the Colloseum. The staff was friendly and spoke English well. Okay, so definitely better than our Italian and put up woth e trying anyway. Not a very good place to eat. Don't waste your time, you will be disappointed. They took my order, gave me the wrong pizza and then got mad and gave me attitude about me making a comment about it. Their pizza is literally a flat bread with pastrami on it. No sauce. The meat is cold like it was just pulled out of the refrigerator. And no cheese. But the wait for it is a good hour. We were very dissatisfied. And when the waiter came around to help us pay, he asked if we would like to leave him a tip in such a way that you don't have a choice but to leave him a tip. Having spent the morning exploring the colosseo with my girlfriend we decided to hit up some lunch before venturing to the forum and palasides. We were actually heading to a different restaurant I came across on yelp when we walked past this little restaurant where the gentleman outside were very friendly and welcoming and showed us the lunch menu on their board outside. 10 Euros for broschietta, pizza and a soft drink which was amazing value for a meal with a view directly opposite the colosseo.
