I don't often get any Mexican food on the Eastside since I just haven't found a good one yet. And sadly, I have to admit that I still have not found any worth the drive across the lake. I ordered one of their burritos, hefty pricing but that's what you'd expect on this side of town. Not the heftiest burrito though for its price, but filling enough. Taste wise it was as a Yelp 3 Star describes, "OK". I've had a lot of Mexican food across the whole West Coast, and this one isn't any special. But of course I will have to try again another day.

The carnitas was my favorite out of the three tacos, lots of flavor! It had a touch of bitterness to it but my favorite overall, 4/5 The birria was good but was not as flavorful as I'd expected and the meat itself was a little dry, 3/5 The carne asada felt similar, yummy but also a it dry, 3/5. I haven't had a ton of horchata but I thought it was delicious. It was a balanced sweet and spiced, 5/5. I could see it being a little too sweet for some people but I personally loved it The godfather burrito wasn't anything too special, but the ingredients all felt high quality, 3.5/5 I love a chunky guacamole and this was quite smooth. It lacked flavor other than avocado but was clearly fresh, 2/5

Taqueria Guadalajara is my favorite taco spot on Eastside, if not so far in Seattle. I have been to…read morethis taco food truck numerous times last year and a half, vistin during week days, weekends, holidays - during day time, night time, etc. And I can say that every time that I have been here, the food has slapped! Located in the lot of a 76 gas station, this food truck may look unsuspecting, but serves up some delicious tacos at an affordable price. It's convenient too! Located near a Fred Meyer and a Asian Family Market, you can get your groceries and then you can fill up your car and eat some bomb tacos right after! There are so lots just around the gas station that people have parked at just to get these tacos. Service is fast, you place your order at the window, and you will get your tacos in 5-10 minutes. You will get your order on a paper plate, which usually means the food will be amazing or bad - luckily in this case, it's amazing. The tacos themselves are no frills and are juicy, flavorful, and very pleasant in terms of texture to eat. Though I have tried every other option they had for filling - I am a big fan of their lengua and their cabeza! Their lengua is tender and diced into soft bite-sized pieces, and gives a fall apart meaty texture. The cabeza is rich and melts away as you chew it, with some scrumptious leaner pieces of the meat that give the taco some integrity so it allows for you to feel the decadence and then give you something solid to hold onto - it's great. The meat themselves aren't salted very much, but still have a delicious subtle aromatic taste to them. They are complimented very nicely by the salsas they have - a salsa verde, and a spicier salsa that is made with habanero - I could easily down 5-6 tacos every time I have visited. You will probably spend $2-3 per taco depending on what cut of meat you want - I feel that the tacos are priced very fairly priced vs. the average taco you can get in Seattle currently. Not many other reviews have mentioned this - but I have also tried their Sweet Corn Tamales for $3. Their tamales are great! They are the perfect amount of sweetness and give a forward sweet corn flavor. The texture is exactly like eating a slightly sweeter corn bread. A very affordable price for a dessert where most desserts (especially tamales) cost $6-$8. This is one of the few food trucks that I have been to where not only is the food good, but the prices are what you would expect tacos to cost. I don't think I can write more about how great this Food Truck is, as the tacos here are definitely ranked the top in my mind for tacos I've tried here in Seattle so far. I would recommend if you are in the Overlake Shopping Area to check this place out!

We agreed that we liked them all but that we like the pastor the most, followed by the cabeza then asada. The pastor had the most flavor by far and was really good! All of the meats were pretty dry without sauce but they included 2 sauces (jalapeño and something else) and lime. It's a great price at $2.50 - $3.00 a taco! Definitely will be back!

It has everything that you need wrapped into a beautiful tortilla. They also have all of the accoutrements outside of you want more onions, cilantro, or a combo of their exquisite salsas. For my visit, I ordered an al pastor taco and a carne asada taco. They were both really good and flavorful. The tacos came plain but all the topping are self serve. I kept noticing many people ordered burritos and they really piled on the meat - it might be a better bang for your buck in terms of portion and meat servings. For reasons unknown, Block 1 is the most packed, side-by-side, with food tracks. Coincidentally, I also think this block easily had the best food. Based on the crowded foot traffic, others agreed. The organizers need to spread things out better considering there are space in the other blocks. For the food, we chose: 12 Spice or Indonesian Rendang The mushroom topping over turmeric rice was AMAZING!! For such a seemingly simple dish, the flavor is absolutely incredible. Highly recommend. Cost is $8 Alaska Weathervane Scallops We chose two options - mushroom sauce over rice pilaf and over coleslaw, their salad. They also have a taco option. Rice pilaf is the better option by far. Their coleslaw is not remotely refined enough. The scallops are amazing, though! The entrées at $14 are very reasonable. Taco Bahia We had the Nellie - Grilled Salmon tacos at $14. You can request grilled instead of fried. Definitely a better, healthier option. Took pictures but didn't buy Character Cotton Candy - a bunny! Many people paid $8 for the Instagram photo. I just asked to take the picture. LOL

There were at least 3 guys working in the truck and they seem to work like clockwork! Food came out hot and did not disappoint... We ordered a shrimp po boy, slaw, cheesy grits & KING CAKE! Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The po boy was perfect to share, amongst all the other food we ordered. Can't remember the last time where I've had slaw done right, but WYAM coleslaw was perfect. The grits were so cheesy and the seasoning was on point. Then we had our first King Cake... every bite was gooey and rich. We even went back for a second slice... they said if you find the baby, you'll get free beignets next time! We got home, dug into the next slice and found the baby! Prior to finding the baby, we had already looked up their truck schedule to do it all again. I can't claim to know what authentic soul food should taste like, but trying WYAM makes us want to travel to New Orleans and experience more - when food can make you want to transport yourself to a new experience, I think they're doing something right!

I also heard that the service here is great. My boyfriend and I caught them at No Boat Brewing and decided to bring our fur babies for a nice dinner. We arrived at the truck and sadly, the male worker seemed out of it and just in a apathetic mood, so it was uncomfortable trying to order. They didn't say much or anything about when to get the food. When I did pick up our food, I politely asked if the order was ready and not only do I not get a response or a nod, he just turns around and grabs my order before just giving it to me. No enjoy the food or thank you for ordering, and not even a ghost of a smile. We got a small shrimp and grits, oyster po boy, and large jambalaya. The oyster po boy was the star of the order as it was delicious and one of the better po boys my boyfriend and I had, but it was also our first time trying an oyster po boy. The shrimp and grits were nothing to really write about and the jambalaya was just meh. Not sure if we came at a bad day but it's super unfortunate as I was really looking forward to this food truck for the longest time but it was the most disappointing Washington food truck that I have had visited.

The Bellevue Arts Fair occurs from the Bellevue Galleria area across the Bellevue Transit Center to the parking garage area by Bell Square, pass Nordstrom. Everything is walking distance, and they do block certain streets for where vendors are. With that said, I recommend taking public transit if you want to avoid the parking mayhem that can occur this busy weekend. However, you can still find parking in the mall and around the Bellevue Downtown Park if you get there early enough. As mentioned earlier, there's artwork of all mediums, so a lot of variety. The artwork also ranges in different price points and it's cool to see where the artists are from, as many travel from all around the West Coast to Bellevue, just to showcase their craftsmanship. In addition to the artwork to explore, there are food trucks and live music, and the Bellevue Arts Museum offers free admission all weekend and hosts a wine garden. Fun times.
