I like it so much that I asked for another look at the menu so that I could plan my dinner because I was coming back for dinner. I was looking forward to the most expensive item on the menu tonight. Then I settled my bill and got slapped with a $1.00 debit card convenience fee with no prior warning. I'm a reasonably observant person but what (if any) effort the management made to warning me that they were going to extort 7.86% for a debit transaction that cost maybe (on the high side) 4%. If they had told me that they were arbitrarily going to extort $1.00 from me and I did business with them anyway they'd have 5 stars from me. If there was a note that a stated reasonable % would be added for debit card use they'd have 5 stars from me. BTW, in the moment. In my anger at being shafted, I didn't let that emotion out on the tip I left - a little over 20%. I won't be back because they didn't warn me that I'd be exported. They automatic way she informed me of the extortion suggested that it didn't matter what my bill was, the fee was going to be $1.00. I'm already not looking forward to dinner wherever I eat tonight because it won't be as good as this was going to be. Sometimes sticking to your principles sucks.
