I'm so glad to have found a pho place that I actually like in Hawks Prairie! I went with my family. We ordered a couple bowls of pho, vermicelli bowl, spring rolls and banh xeo. My husband is super picky about his pho, but loved his. The spring rolls were very fresh and tasty. The vermicelli bowl was good, but I wish I had more noodles. I wasn't much of a fan of the banh xeo though. I will definitely be back! I loved the atmosphere. They also serve alcohol and bubble tea here which I'll have to try another time. read more

When you order a combo that has steamed rice, that doesn't mean you asked for rice soup. Did you guys seriously reheat the rice by adding large amounts of water? Then the server took it back to correct the problem, she scraped the rice off the plate then brought back the same plate. Where the hell has the good restaurants gone? This place is like a higher end Pho Hoa. They have a very similar menu, expect this place offers desserts. The pho and spring roll combo is a really great deal. My bf and I shared that and our check came out to $10 and change. If you are really into peanut sauce like we are, ask for an extra side of it with your spring roll. WOW!!! I am thoroughly impressed on all levels with this restaurant!! From their impeccable customer service to the flavor and value of their food! I ordered their spring rolls and fried tofu as an appetizer. Each was made fresh to order and it was no problem requesting just shrimp in my egg rolls. I was hesitant that by eliminating the pork I wouldn't get enough shrimp, but it was a generous portion of 4 shrimps per spring roll! Both appetizers also came with their own dipping sauces that were super flavorful and paired well. I also got a small beef pho and was very surprised with how much I got. I wasn't even able to finish it all, so I would say their version of "small" is more of a medium...obviously no complaints! I also got a Thai tea as my beverage and really enjoyed that. Needless to say I have no complaints and honestly think they nailed my order in every way from start to finish! I will be back and look forward to trying more options from their delicious menu! I have only been here once, but the food was great. The prices are excellent for the portion size and the customer service was awesome. Our waiter was really nice and made sure we had everything we needed. I have eaten here twice, once at night for pho, and once for bahn mi. Both were OK, and the service was good. Storage around the bathroom hall was strange and stuff spilled on the floor. No big deal. Until I saw this months heath department inspection scores. YIKES! But all the many items listed can be fixed with process and training. But I won't go back until I see a good report for Hot Ginger. Lovely decor. Clean. The music level was a bit too loud. Menu selection was large as it reminded me of a photo album. The service was a bit slow at first but after receiving food more ladies came to our table. The food did not arrive at the same time for my party of 3. We ordered 2 beers and a bubble tea. One of the beers was incorrect. Bubble tea was good except for the black tapioca balls. I think too many were put in the drink and ultimately made me a bit queasy later on. The portion size of the bubble tea was exceptional. We order chicken pho which was a very generous portion for a small bowl, pork pineapple fried rice (which was beef), and yakisoba noodles with chicken. Additionally we ordered crab cheese wontons. The wontons were tasty but I believe they were frozen. My noodles didn't taste authentic, almost like it was from a mix or box. The chicken was tasty but seemed precooked. This dish was very different from other yakisoba noodle dishes I've eaten. It wasn't bad tasting per say but maybe a little bland. The chicken pho and pineapple fried rice was well liked. First time trying this Vietnamese pho joint. The decor is beautiful compared to your other Vietnamese restaurants. Let's get right to the food. The menu was decent price. The pho was a little more pricey than the other pho places I've had. I got the large pho tai bo vien (steak and meatballs). The wait was a little long approximately 20-30 minutes. We ordered for a takeout order about two entrees, combination fried rice, bbq pork sandwhich and a few spring rolls. However, upon picking up my order the first waitress seemed new and a little confused about my order then another waitress had to help check out. The place looks good, the menu looks good alot of different varieties but the food was something else. Feeding a family of 7 and not one of us liked how the food preparation looked let alone how it tasted. What a shame and a waste of money. This place is great. I've come here twice so far with my girlfriend and we can't get enough. I've had the yellow curry and a seafood phó. The curry as flavorful, it had the perfect amount of spice, and came with a generous amount of rice. The seafood phó was great as well and the quality of the mussels surprised me! The other good things are: 1) the price and 2) the service.
